HUGE IMPROVEMENT. I walked in yesterday and was shocked at how clean the store was. I was greated by a helpful employee. She informed me of the sales they had. Plus they were doing something for the fire victims. I shop this store for my grandkids frequently and have been put off by the clutter and disorganization. NOT ANYMORE. The store was typical, messy and unorganized. But I've never seen a nice one. No big deal. But, the service... my goodness. A long line, one lady working the register while the other girls are talking to her. I personally feel the children's place isn't the place to have personal conversations especially with little ears around. They didn't have a magnet to take the magnetic tag off the pants, so she left to go find a pair that didn't have the magnet. This place was pretty awful. read more

During the holidays we can all expect for the stores to be a little chaotic with long lines and swarms of shoppers who all try and get their last minute shopping done. What you should not expect is for stores to be understaffed. The Childrens Place was not only understaffed but also very untidy and sloppy. There was no one to greet customers as they entered nor a staff member in sight to help assist you. I came to the Childrens Place this evening in search of holiday pajamas for the little ones and l could not find anything amongst the disaster of piled clothes falling off shelves, on the floor and insane mix up of disorganized items. After a brief two minutes of being in the store l was already overwhelmed and had to walk out. I do not understand how any company expects to flourish with such a busy season and very little employees. read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I usually opt to make the drive down the hill to shop at the Ontario Mills location, because the 2 times I've been here, it was a cluster of a mess! BUT I ordered online and thought it would be ok to choose this location for pick up. Boy was I wrong!! You have to wait in their atrocious line, with stuff all over the floor etc. 3 people ahead of me, I waited 25minutes. I had an online order which took forever for them to find (if you see their store, you can only imagine what their stock room looks like- shesh). She had me sign a hand held device and gave me my package. Didn't ask me for ID, even though she saw me holding it. That concerns me!.... So I can spend MY money online and anyone could pick up my stuff? This place is the most unorganized, poorly ran location that I've ever been too. Stuff is everywhere! You see random boxes of stuff to rummage through instead of being put away and sooo many things kicked around on the floor. I thought that maybe the last 2 times I was here was just a bad day for them, but going today & seeing it in this condition, this is clearly their "norm". Even Ross & DD'S look decent, clean and organized. Management clearly needs to be retrained or replaced, because I am a firm believer that your staff is a direct reflection of your management. read more

Yes, I understand it is the holiday season and we are all over worked and can become overwhelmed. Thay being said, i spent nearly 2 hours in this tiny store looking for sizes they just didn't have. I patiently waited in line after a disappointing time attempting to locate anything I was there for. The girl Marilyn was very nice. I had a complex and difficult transaction. She broke it down and explained how she it could best ne handled. She was kind and polite during this entire ordeal. Then the register decides it will not be giving receipts. She was unable to reprint the receipt I never got. Thats fine. Then someone else fixed the tape and she continued with my next transaction. Again, the register refused to print my receipt. We moved to the next register for my next transaction...this scanner didn't work at all. She had to handkey in all of my items so we could get a receipt. Finally. And keying things in was taking so long as I had several items. We moved back to the first register. Meanwhile, the other associate is helping the small line keep flowing. Before we moved regisyers for the 3rd and final time, Marilyn asked the other associate to help me on the register that scanned AND gave receipts. She said No because she has to help the people in line first. This is RIDICULOUS! I had already been at the tegisters for about 45 minutes by this point. I had to choose to wait for each item to be keyed in anf get a receipt OR get everything quickly scanned and NOT get a receipt. Why do I have to Choose 1 or the other? Why did I have to be considered less important than the people who got in line LONG after I had waited in line? I was at the counter so long, there was not 1 customer left in the store that was there before me. All the people in line could see I eas standing at the counter upon their entry to the store. I doubt they would've had an issue allowing me to go to the ONE FULLY FUNCTIONING REGISTER IN THE STORE!!! It is officially Holiday Shopping Season. How do you expect to run a store with only 1 decent working register? I feel as though that employee could've handled the situation better and I am extremely disappointed for how it was treated. This store needs to be closed down! My mother and I shop online and used to in store to purchase clothes for my children and we have visited here three times in the past year and it has been a disaster every single time!!! It literally looks like a huge tornado went through the entire store! Nothing is folded, nothing is organized or put away accordingly, clothes and shoes are thrown on the floors, there are tons of empty hangers laying everywhere and on the racks, it is very unshoppable. My Mother and I have walked out this last time due to the desire to not even touch a thing. And I have no clue when the last time they swept was. You can see a layer of dust on their floor as you walk in the front. This store is a complete and utter disaster! I have worked in retail for many years and this is not the way any store should be! Do they ever get a visit from corporate at all? Also, the workers there don't greet you, they don't have any good customer service training. Close this store immediately!!!
