The shop itself is small but mighty. Super kind staff who will give you any info you request. There are candles, plates, cards, and a few local gifts for sale, alongside all of the tasty treats. There are cookies, brownies, cupcakes, single cake and cheesecake slices and full size cheesecakes for sale. My favorites are the oatmeal sammie and the PB cheesecake. I normally avoid sugar cookies but their version with the sanding sugar is too notch! We definitely prefer the storefront, as the items are super fresh and I love that they carry the single servings. Whenever we are downtown for work, this is our stop. When you get something from the Kroger Magpie's selection, it will either be a full size cheesecake or a sampler box of cookies or bars/brownies. It is hit or miss as to how fresh the items are here. This location now refrigerates the sammies, too, which seems to dry them out quickly. Bummer. From either location, we definitely prefer the cheesecakes, pies, and cookies to the actual cake. Either way, support this local gem!

That's right. TWO. DOZEN. Most didn't make it home. "We'll just have one" turned into "wait, how many are left?" Then came the full dozen assortment: *Custard filled - dangerously good *Cream filled - no regrets *Chocolate cake - classic, solid, dependable *Glazed - because you can't not And then... the Strawberry Glazed Let me tell you about that Strawberry Glazed. Since this was also a bakery, I had to try some of the desserts. At first I didn't know what apple fried pie was. Our server said it was just apple pie that is deep fried. I mean, is there anything bad that comes out of deep frying? The server did ask me if I wanted the pie warmed up and I said no. I suggest you say yes if asked. It really would have been much better warm but it certainly wasn't bad a little chilled. I loved the small bits of chopped apples. The pie was filled with so many applies and sprinkled with sugar. This was definitely a winner. Service: Extremely friendly. Tip: Bring cash or else pay the credit card fee. Parking: Plenty in the small shopping center.

They serve coffee, drinks, and homemade desserts such as cupcakes, custom cakes, brownies, thumbprint cookies, quick-style fudge, chocolate suckers, and a few other sweets and treats. There are several tables inside to sit down and relax while eating too. It's a quaint little place with lots of potential... Now, for my review based on my own personal experience. (If I could give them five stars for honesty alone, I would.) Upon entering, the display was completely empty - nothing inside. As I was later told (here comes the honesty information), Tuesday is the day in which they have very limited product. They bake each Wednesday. If I understood correctly, maybe they bake on Friday too? That, I'm not certain about...but the owner said the best day to visit is on Wednesday. They are fully stocked, and fresh products and multiple flavors abound. While the display was 100 percent empty on the Tuesday that I visited, they did have a few remaining cupcakes leftover at a reduced rate (half-price). Normally, classic cupcakes are $2.00 each, while the specialty flavors are $2.50 each. (Note: Most small, handheld edibles appeared to be a few dollars each as well.) I decided to try a chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting and chocolate sprinkles for half-price, while the owner offered to frost a fresh red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing for regular price. She did warn me that the freshness would be noticeable, and she was right. She gets major kudos for her honesty! I can only give three stars, though, because the flavor was not that impressive either. That's just my opinion, however. I would only ever purchase anything with cream cheese Icing from here again, definitely not the buttercream icing for me. Feel free to go in for a sweet treat and a cup of coffee. Just go in on a Wednesday or Thursday if you prefer a larger variety that is fresher than the half-price leftovers. I might suggest smaller batches of product per day or every other day rather than 1-2 large batches per week only. Maybe this is just growing pains. Best Wishes to this new family-owned business to work through the kinks of just opening!

We picked a beautiful day and sat upstairs--the view is phenomenal! We were celebrating our anniversary, and it was such a sweet surprise to find a little card waiting for us at the table. We started with the Colonel Cigars appetizer, and they were delicious! Just a heads-up--they only come with three. Our server made great recommendations. I ordered the grilled pork chop with the cherry demi-glaze, and it was outstanding. I paired it with sweet potato fries and a side salad. My husband had the grilled blackened grouper with mashed potatoes and a side salad. It was excellent, though the portion was a bit small for the price. One of our favorite parts of the meal was the homemade dressings and sauces. The horseradish Caesar dressing was incredible! We both cleaned our plates and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It's also a great place to take a stroll before or after your meal, making for a perfect outing. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

It is a short 15 minute drive along a beautiful river from where we currently live. It was gorgeous. This entire area of Tennessee is just breathtaking. When we arrived in the parking lot, I was moved by how the restaurant blended seamlessly into the park that surrounds it. They even had luxury golf carts at the ready if you didn't want to walk up the hill to the restaurant. What a nice touch. We were kindly greeted by the hosts and promptly seated in a very comfortable booth with an outstanding view of the landscape outside. There is also an ample patio if you choose to dine alfresco. This place is obviously upscale, but it was nice to see a variety of dress. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. I am always a bit anxious meeting the server for the evening. I have been to many nicer restaurants where the server hung on me like an over-sized suit. That can really take away from an otherwise lovely meal. Not today. Meet my new friend, Nik. He was extremely well versed in the offerings on the entire menu. He made thoughtful suggestions presented in a kind and sincere delivery. He was extremely attentive the entire meal. My unsweetened iced tea never reached the halfway point before Nik had a fresh one at the ready. This was some of the best table service I have EVER experienced. He will be requested time and time again as we plan to return often. Let's get to the food. We started with the grouper bites as our appetizer. Nik explained how the fish was so amazingly fresh even though we are no where near the ocean. The quality was outstanding. I highly recommend this starter. One last thing about the freshness of the fish. A couple of years ago, my wife and I had the opportunity to go on a bucket list trip to the St. Regis in the Maldives. We caught grouper on a fishing excursion and it was prepared by the master chefs at St. Regis. The grouper we had tonight was just as good if not better than that delightful meal in the Maldives. Please, give it a try. I had the bone in pork chop and my wife had the salmon. Both entrees were absolutely fantastic. It was one of those meals where you wished the evening wouldn't end. I am looking forward to trying absolutely everything on the menu. I have a feeling that each dish will bring great satisfaction. So, Nik...have any good suggestions for dessert? Silly question. Another perfect pairing to our outstanding meal...dry cherry bourbon pecan pie. Scratch made heaven on a plate. I could go on and on. If you made it this far into this never ending review, you have done well. Go eat here. Ask for Nik. Take a suggestion or two and have an amazing evening.

If I'd had more time, I would have loved hanging out here for a while. I only managed to get here about 45 minutes to close, so their selection was understandably if somewhat disappointingly quite picked over. I wound up with a cranberry oat scone and a blueberry and raspberry hand tart. The employee was very pleasant and warm. I appreciated her eagerness to help and positive attitude despite my late arrival. The baked goods sadly didn't really live up to my expectations. The cranberry oat scone was the much better of the two; it was pleasantly sweet and had the proper scone texture and only a little dry. Unfortunately, the hand tart had several edges that I discovered later had been burnt. This impacted the flavor of the whole item and sadly diminished it greatly. The fruit filling was tasty at least, though I didn't get much raspberry from it -- mostly blueberry. I'd be down to try again in the future, just would come earlier in the day when the selection is a bit larger and the products available are a bit more "choice," let's say. I appreciated the kind service and lovely vibes!
