My husband also really liked his latte. We sat inside and ate some of our goodies. We took the rest home for my mum for Mother's Day. My family loved them, too. Nice space. I stopped here to grab some treats on my way out of Knoxville. This bakery/cafe is absolutely adorable inside - bright, spacious, welcoming - and has some limited outdoor seating too. If I'd had more time, I would have loved hanging out here for a while. I only managed to get here about 45 minutes to close, so their selection was understandably if somewhat disappointingly quite picked over. I wound up with a cranberry oat scone and a blueberry and raspberry hand tart. The employee was very pleasant and warm. I appreciated her eagerness to help and positive attitude despite my late arrival. The baked goods sadly didn't really live up to my expectations. The cranberry oat scone was the much better of the two; it was pleasantly sweet and had the proper scone texture and only a little dry. Unfortunately, the hand tart had several edges that I discovered later had been burnt. This impacted the flavor of the whole item and sadly diminished it greatly. The fruit filling was tasty at least, though I didn't get much raspberry from it -- mostly blueberry. I'd be down to try again in the future, just would come earlier in the day when the selection is a bit larger and the products available are a bit more "choice," let's say. I struggle on the rating here. The scone I had was one of the best I've had in my entire life but I was really put off by the anti- American "no kings" rhetoric that they had multiple flyers for all over the front entrance inside the restaurant. It was obviously a very liberal customer base and as a conservative, Christian woman these posts and flyers against the president of the US were very off-putting. I totally get freedom of speech and I support it fully, but if that's how your customer base (and thus, likely management) feel it is may be better not to promote it in the Bible belt of a red state or you may lose customers. I loved Wild Love Bakehouse! The ambiance is relaxing and fit for studying or getting work done on your laptop. It's suited for group hang outs with the large community tables. Of course, the baked goods are amazing! I tried the lemon olive oil cake and sea salt chocolate chip cookie. Both were yummy and would go well with coffee. I opted for the matcha yuzu pandan tonic, a seasonal special. I didn't really taste the pandan, but the matcha and yuzu flavors were delightful. I only got a few pastries to go but loved the ambiance, the pastries were delicious, and it just seemed it would make a very cool place to hang out, enjoy some coffee and wonderful pastries, and see the world going by Central Ave. I went with my one-year old granddaughter and she had a great time wobbling around the deck and the little grassy area to the side.
