Helpful, friendly staff. They paid more attention to me when I was a newb, but now that they recognize me, they let me choose what I want. Good selection of cigars at good prices. I also had a friend who was interested in pipe smoking, but didn't know anything about it/ had no pipes, etc. I talked to Scott, the owner, who helped me get him everything he needed to start out as a Christmas gift. Great selection of cigars. 5 stars in my opinion due to the relaxed atmosphere provided by the team when I entered the store during my 1st visit. No high pressure sales pitch, just a friendly hello and can I help you find anything? I provided my standard reply when I go to a new place "I'm just a kid in a new candy store" and appreciate them letting me look around until I had a question for them. Scott and Mike have always been very knowledgeable and helpful with my questions. I have been going here now for about 4 years and always provided with excellent customer service. Now that the moral issues are cleared up, on to the review. Cigar Merchant is a good shop tucked away in a fairly busy strip center. Good selection of cigars, all the basics with a good collection of special finds. Humidor is stocked well and organized. Prices are fair and there are price points for every budget. What a great place. Tons of cigar selection in a big humidor. The lounge was great with a group of really nice guys with whom i had many nice conversations. I was there for about 3 hours and i would definitely go back and would recommend this place to any cigar lover. One things that i wish they had was a bar, but you can bring your own alcoholic drinks if you wish. read more

These guys are very friendly, tolerant of newbies and have a fantastic selection and good prices; premium bulk pipe tobacco is about $3.00 an ounce. But the really cool thing about this place is that if you just want to just hang out and have a smoke, they have a nice room with a TV, comfortable seating and lots of ashtrays. It's like an English gentleman's club, but it's free! And in the North burbs of Atlanta. There's no booze of course but there's coffee and you can buy soft drinks. It's a nice quiet place to take a break in the middle a hectic day. read more

I'm writing this review because I experienced something that doesn't happen at all cigar shops, good customer service. I dropped in looking for some particular HTF smokes, which had not arrived yet. They asked if I wanted to leave my number and they would call when they arrived. I did so, but really didn't expect that call back. Well a couple weeks later I received a call from a number I didn't recognize, and got a message from the owner that the cigars had arrived, give him a call or drop by. I did, and sure enough he had plenty of what I was looking for. For a true cigar guy, this is a huge factor and a shop I will visit. He actually showed he cared about his customers, and I got the smokes I really wanted. A huge thanks, and I will surely be using this shop for years to come. read more

Wrote a review about this place a long time ago. That review seems to have been dropped. I was a weekly regular but stopped going there due to an unfriendly employee that was always too busy on his phone or something else to acknowledge my presence and seemed to be bothered that I was there to purchase pipe tobacco, a pipe or anything related. The owner was always friendly and professional and took care of lighters I bought there that didn't work or didn't work as they should. Haven't been back to see if they've improved with an attitude change of the employee or by getting rid of him. read more

I'm no connoisseur but occasionally I enjoy a cigar. I don't have a humidor so when I asked about how I should store my cigars the guy suggested a type that doesn't require humidity. I had a lot of questions and he was very knowledgeable. I was pleased with his suggestion. It's a nice shop in the newly renovated Roswell Market Place Shopping Center. read more

They keep a great inventory of the latest and greatest cigars and have a great selection of cigar accessories, too.
