They seemed very professional when they came to do a quote for my home. But the cleaning is not very good. Also, they over quoted me. I was told my house would need a deep clean separated over 2 sessions. First session, deep clean kitchen, bathrooms and general clean everything else. Then the 2nd deep clean would be deep clean everything else and general clean what they did last time. Each deep clean would be about 4-5hours. The first clean was about 4.5 hours, they missed a few spots and when I sent photos they said they will address those areas next time. The second session was terrible. They were only scheduled to be here 3 hours (although I was told 4-5 hours for deep cleans in the quote) and they only stayed 2.5hours. And they did a terrible job. Why am I paying for 4-5hours or service and getting half? If they had done a good job in 2.5hours I'd be so happy, but they were definitely skimping and trying to do the least work possible. read more

Impressive first meeting, yes. then comes their lazy cleaning crew, have no clue about cleaning.............. horrible, horrible, hopeless.....................stay away...........from this company. This company must shut down. I think even the owner does not know what is quality. He would have done something to improve his business. They cleaned my home for several years. Used to be ok but under new ownership The service kept going downhill. I asked for my key back after stopping and the owner never called me back after leaving 5 messages. Finally got her and gave her the new address(we moved) and she mailed it to the old address. (Empty house) never got my key back or the courtesy of a call back. Do not use them if you want your house cleaned well. No stars rating. read more

Normally I don't write reviews, but wanted to save others from the headache of dealing with this company. Let's break it down to the good, bad and ugly.... The good - good first meeting & initial assessment, easy set up for regular scheduled service & payment and good concept of cycling through rooms for "extra" attention. The bad - execution. While the concept is great in theory, the actual cleaning is sub par at best. You want to look forward to the smell and feel of a freshly scrubbed home on the day of your cleaning. I could barely tell they had been there after they left. The ugly - the mildew I discovered the day after a cleaning building up in my daughter's bathtub under her bathmat. Twice. Even after complaining. This doesn't even take into account the number of times (many) they screwed up the schedule wreaking havoc on my day trying to get out of their way with a toddler and rambunctious dog. Why I was bending over backwards for a service I was a paying for?? Not sure... When I called to give feedback, it was not well received. Very rude customer service, even when it could have been was a basic and easy conversation. Team was fine - friendly, but definitely not focused on the task at hand. Spent more time talking to each other than actually cleaning. Bottom line - unless you enjoy paying for a dirty house and rude people, don't bother. read more

Tried to get them to come out to do a cleaning after major construction at my house. Played phone tag for days. Finally when I put their feet to the fire they said they did not have my wife's info, Total BS. They called her back multiple times. Poor customer service in a cleaning service. If that's how they run their business they probably aren't very good at what they do. read more

STAY FAR AWAY! You think you are going to have a more professional experience than your regular cleaning service because of the brochures and uniforms. Absolutely not the case! 1) The manager is impossible to reach-always "out in the field". 2) I should have known when I was the one following up multiple days in a row to find out why I hadn't been scheduled for the day requested, as discussed. 3) Then the crew finally comes and leaves the trash bags on my driveway, although I left instructions to put the trash in my garbage bins inside the garage. Animal got to it at night and I woke up to a disgusting mess all over my driveway. Now, after waiting for 6 hours to receive a return phone call after multiple messages, Leonor (manager) says, "As a one time courtesy, she will send someone to take care of it. That the animal caused the mess, not her." What??!! Let me tell you something about customer service, Leonor. When someone pays you money to clean their home, and your crew causes a mess for lack of following instruction and common sense, your response should be, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience my crew has caused you. We will take care of it right away and it will never happen again." Needless to say, will not be using them again. Terrible. read more

STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY!! The owner seemed nice when he came to estimate the job. Tells me 3-4 hours and they took all of 90 minutes. They did not dust anything and said they didnt bring equipment to do ceiling fans, which was in the estimate. They gave my girlfriend major attitude when she told them they did not clean the bathrooms. THEY DID TWO THINGS ON ESTIMATE...OUT OF LIKE 15. To top it off, they stole two iphone chargers. I created a Yelp account just to share my terrible experiences with this company. One pro- Reena Rothman is kind and helpful. Everything else was awful. The woman I spoke to over the phone, Kathy , is rude. She tried to sound sincere on the voicemail she left me ..."it would have been nice if someone had told us that you hired another service..." but her tone was so obviously unprofessional. Now for the cleaning service... when my grandmother asked them to move some potted plants and vacuum under them, they told her they were not allowed to move anything!! And they could just clean around what was in their place. How rediculous! I've used other cleaning services that moved all my furniture-- couches and all-- and clean under them. Not to mention the "team" they sent hardly spoke English and could barely understand anything spoken/requested of them. On top of all this, the rates are way to high for what they do. The first cleaning was $107, the second $88, and every 2 weeks for $77-- and that's just for 1 Bedroom, Family, Living, Dining Rooms, samll Kitchen, and 1 Bath. All in all, DON'T USE THIS SERVICE!!! You'll be better off using an independent house cleaner, not these corporate thieves!!! read more

No stars for The Cleaning Authority Midland Park. Leonor, the franchise owner for my area came to my home on April 14th, I agreed to the terms signed the papers and let my current cleaning company go. Leonor would not respond to my emails or calls to set up the first cleaning. I called The Cleaning Authority sales number several times and they could have cared less that their franchise in my territory was not responding. A total waste of my time! read more

With a name like "The Cleaning Authority" I would expect the service to be very thorough...it was not. I used this service for a very short time and had the same experience as the previous reviewer. They don't clean grout like they say as a matter of fact, the grout kept on getting darker with each visit and my stainless steel appliances kept on looking progressively worse (scratched and smudged) with each visit. DO NOT use this service! Instead of going to people's homes to chit chat with each other and on their cell phones, they should concentrate on doing their job properly and maintain some level of proffessionalism. This is a franchise as I understand it. The owner of this one should really evaluate her staff if she does not wish to eventually go out of business. Terrible!!! read more

The first clean was very good because the owner Leonor came to inspect the work. After that each time the cleaning was sub par and kept getting worse. I called the owner Leonor and left several messages but she did not have the common courtesy to call back. The last straw was when I witnessed 1 cleaner just wiping down the sink and toilet in the basement bathroom with just a rag and no cleaner on it then proceeded to damp mop the floor around the throw rugs. In the main bathroom there was dirt, hair, dust all around the floor, dirty vanity. This room was not touched. In the dining room which was supposedly deep cleaned I found dirt, dust and pieces of old cheese. Really? The stove had some sort of streaked cleaner on it. It was clean and streak free before they cleaned. Called the owner for 2 days with no call back. I took pics and saved all the diry, hair and cheese in a plastic bag for evidence.
