I have to say this was my first time using this company and they did not disappoint. I have a small APT and they cleaned it very well and I'm very satisfied with team #10. I had the same cleaning lady for 3 years but she fell ill and I noticed the cleanings weren't as good so I tried this service and they send a team of 3 to clean and they supply all the products... I did ask for them to only use the product I provided for the TV and they had no problem with that.. I also have a 70 pound Putbull and they were very friendly.. I just set up a weekly service so more reviews to come! Ok so since my 1st cleaning I've used them 2 more times and I have to say they do a really good job. I've had team 10 twice and team 11 once due to something coming up at work and Allan was very helpful! I've never had a hard time communicating with any of the cleaners and they arrive and have no issue with me explaining what I need done. My APT isn't big and takes about an hour or less to clean but the job has been very good!!!! read more

I hired Continental Maid Service for cleaning when my last kid moved out of the house. Scheduling was very easy. I got a confirm call the day before. And they were on time. The three cleaners were very thorough and efficient, in and out in an hour and a half. I also have two dogs and a cat in the house. They rolled with the bit of barking and mewling that went on, and had no problem with the pets. I spoke directly to Marc Kevin, the owner, and will definitely be using them in the future. read more

Gotta Get Regular We have been customers of the service for more than ten years. We don't have a regular appointment, we just call for a Wednesday morning appointment about two or three weeks ahead once every four or five months and the team arrives doing an amazing job. I believe we tip the team really well for all their hard work. We've never had a problem and I am always amazed with their efforts and work ethic. More than satisfied with more than a decade of experience with this firm. So my wife calls to make an appointment and to her surprise, she is told by a woman who answered their phone that the team will not arrive at a scheduled time in the morning, but later in the day sometime in the afternoon with no confirmed appointment. We are not "regular customers" so they save their bookings for regular customers and everyone else is handled when time is available. My wife thought this was just a rude employee and when she spoke to a man next, he expressed the same attitude. What a shame, we don't need a regular cleaning service but we like to spruce up the old place from time to time which is why we used the firm in the first place. Unfortunately, my wife is turned off by this attitude of mistreatment with the attempt to manipulate us into becoming "regular" customers instead of steady long term customers. So we are looking for another firm that will offer similar services without the attitude. We live in Montclair and have been customers for two decades. The cleaners, Oscar, Patricia and Culeika, are honest and reliable. And the people in the office, including Wlodek, are responsive. Continental almost always does a great job. I have used them for years and they rarely disappoint. They send a team of 3 and are almost always on time and friendly. On the rare occasion that they are running late I get a call from Wlodek or Dawn. Normally I use team 9 with great results. read more

Nice try Allan, you are full of it! I never ever told anyone to NOT call me. I complained over and over and even sent pictures of the shoddy work AFTER the team left. Shall I post the pictures of my filthy house that I paid you over 800 per month for and of which I had to have a new service come in and clean up your teams mess to the tune of 600? I was the one who fired you, get that straight. I sent those pictures and your version of a QC rep didnt even offer to send someone to rectify it nor did you offer me any compensation. I stand by my review and if I have to I will share the pictures. Your girls are rude, untrained and most dont even speak english to even communicate my requests! Your last "team" cleaned my ENTIRE kitchen and bath with windex!!! A word to the wise, stay away from this company.... read more

I really regret not checking reviews before booking a cleaning with Continental Maid Service. I'm temporarily staying at my sister's apartment (which she keeps vacant and spotless) and so I wanted to have the apartment deep cleaned after my 3-week stay. The team does a very quick and surface clean and, even worse, they use dirty rags (my usual cleaning person usually paper towels). On top of that, they seem to use the same rags to wipe bathroom surfaces, the living room furniture, the kitchen, etc. I now feel like the whole apartment is really icky / sticky / with a faint old rag smell -- much worse than before the clean -- and I'm trying to find a better service in the northern NJ area on yelp to redo the clean. I'll say that the team was very pleasant, polite and nice, and the person who arranged the appointment was also very friendly. I'll also say that I had no concerns about the trustworthiness of the team. It's unfortunate, but I think that it comes down to the fact that this is just not a service if you like things really clean. read more

They scheduled us for between 8 and 8:30...i got up early and drove an hour to let them in on time. By 9 am they still had not arrived. I called up the office and they said I was scheduled for between 9 and 10 which was clearly not the case. The lady was incredibly rude and unprofessional and started yelling at me. She then hung up on me. Would not use them again nor would I recommend to anyone else. read more

Need to change my review on this service. I fired these people some months ago. Instead of sending my usual tean of 3 people they sent a tem of 2 people who even finished in less time. the women who ever she was used my stainless steel cleaner on my hardwood floors and my hardwood cleaner on my appliances. They should be replacing my appliances but what they offered was a discount on my next cleaning. I am still unable to get them cleaned again. After my cleaning the floors 3 times I was able to restore them but the appliances make me angry every time I tried to get them back to as they were. read more

I have used Continental Maid Service for over 15 years in various houses and apartments and I am shocked by the negative review. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company. They are extremely trustworthy, they are insured, and they do a fantastic job cleaning. They move quickly and efficiently, and are always warm, friendly and happy to do the job. The service said they are accustomed to deep cleaning that I was requesting before passover. What actually happened was that they only cleaned what they could reach easily. The couches/chairs were not moved to clean underneath, the fridge shelves were not cleaned only what was easily accessible. The bedrooms and bathroom were done well but the kitchen, living room and dining room was a total waste I had to redo. And I offered to move things, and asked them to make sure they moved things and was told they had. Will not use again. read more

Totally regret not checking reviews, but was in a time restraint - in between rentals. House was completely empty. First off they came an hour early, door was opened ,they let themselves in. I had to travel 30 mins. to get there. I cleaned the hardwood floors, inside stove, inside refrigerator, windows and vacuumed carpets. I also cleaned the bathrooms, just needed tub to be cleaned. Additionally needed to be cleaned was the kitchen cabinets in and out, stove top, kitchen sink, all closet doors and shelves, ceiling fans, and to take apart baseboards to clean them. They sent 4 people who were there supposedly for 2 1/2 hrs. One woman was in the kitchen for 2 hours!!!! She did not have a step stool, so tell me how do you clean the upper cabinets and shelves and all the ceiling fans if you cannot reach them!! To top it off when I looked at the stove top it was not done!! What did the woman do for 2 hours in the kitchen?? They used a cleaner on one of the toilet bowl seats which took the finish off - now is going to cost me $65. Was open to renegotiating fee. They said they never got a complaint like mine- sure. read more
