First time clean from their brochure after meeting a rep from the company months ago. I let my housekeeper go and trusted this company would do their job. $245 and dusting was basically not done. (See videos) Master mirror halfway cleaned. Crew of 2 showed up and 30 min later 2 more WALKED THROUGH the front door without announcing or ringing a door bell. When talking to office about my complaints, they offered to come out again but I declined. Directions were to pull car through gate and park in back. Directions not followed, then told my husband to move his car so they could leave. Employees were either having a bad day or need training on customer interaction with additional training on completing a job right the first time. Also add, a supervisor showed up and walked through the door, no introduction. I have no idea what she did while I was working in my office. No reduction in visit price, no callback, only an email apologizing and "will work with crew". Very disappointed in this company. read more

I have been having The Cleaning Authority clean my house for around 5 years now. I just have them clean my bathrooms and mop and vacuum my floors because of my bad back from when I used to do their job too in my 20's in a hotel and for a professional cleaning company too and team 8 Evelyn and Yadira are my usual team of ladies who come every other week. They are always going above and beyond what I pay for just because they are sweet like that and doing extras like making our beds, folding our throw blankets, fixing pillows nicely and doing some light dusting too which I appreciate because I'm honestly not much of a duster. It's my least liked cleaning task! Lol! They are always so cheery, smiling and singing and they are just a great joy to have around in my home as I am always home when they clean for me. We have a great time together talking with my limited Spanish that I learned from my Hispanic friends back in the 90's when I used to clean hotel rooms too and we talked a lot about Selena April when it was the 30th anniversary of Selena's death. I feel like Evelyn and Yadira deserve great recognition and a huge bonus for the work that they do, but actually I have been happy with everyone who comes to clean my house from The Cleaning Authority, and feel they all deserve a bonus, but I must say that Evelyn and Yadira stand above them all and they are my favorite ladies who come to clean my home. Just not using them again! Just not meeting my expectations each time. You don't get what you pay for. I was hoping they'd do better but nah... They want to make money but they do not want to do their job. A job half-done is a job not done at all! They have this area rotation system that makes them focus on some areas per visit but also gives them excuse to miss some areas. Why pay for a whole amount quoted if they are leaving some areas not addressed??? I know how to clean the house, probably better than they do but I do not have the time that is why I hire cleaners to do the job for me and I agree to pay for it. I want my entire house cleaned each time but it's just not happening. I am left feeling more disappointed than happy each visit but I still kept them for months thinking that it'd be different the next time since they send different cleaners each time, never consistent. I paused service for a while to try other cleaners and tried them back again after the pause and this time no more. They're more rushed, less detailed, communication with cleaners a challenge as some cleaners cannot communicate in English and I was told by the owner that they have tablets with them to translate in case or I can always call their office to communicate what I want. How do you work and stop each time to find translations on a tablet for something the customer is asking or saying??? I was telling one of the cleaners something so simple and I had to tell her slowly many times and point or demonstrate even and I had to be directed to the other cleaner who spoke and understood English more. It's frustrating. So no more. And oh... who gets charged almost $300 for an hour or an hour and a half of cleaning? The owner said it's quick because they sent 2 teams which means 4 cleaners at a time. I did not ask for a battalion of cleaners, I don't want more strangers in my house. I want my house cleaned and I want it done right. I just went upstairs to give them time and space to clean downstairs and when I went back down, they were all gone. My mom and I looked at each other and asked what happened? They're done??? I have a 4100 sq ft living area 5 beds and 4 baths. How was it done in less than 2 hours??? I could get 4 cleaners at a time from a different cleaning company for 1 hour of cleaning and I would not spend even $100 as some cleaners charge $18-20 per cleaner per hour and I have one that does an amazing job. She cleans my house for 6 hours as booked for way lesser amount and I have no complains as to how she works because she works in details and knows what she's doing! At the end of the day she gets paid a little extra than what she asked for and I am a happy client. It's give and take even in business. $270 for cleaning appointment that does not address all areas is just a total rip off. They wanna do business but they do not want to last! One more thing. They come to your house not wearing protective masks and shoe covers. Other companies I've tried send their cleaners respecting the health and safety of their customers. I don't know if that is something that is okay with you but not with me. I have kids and seniors in the house. Please give your customers their money's worth! read more

Horrible. NOT cLEAN! I had them come for two months and it's almost impossible to track them because they do not go from top to bottoms they jump around. They were not scrubbing sinks, tubs with a course sponge they used microfiber cloth. My daughter did a bath bomb and a huge blue ring of soap scum appeared in the tub.They did not do my shower floor ever! They don't scrub the toilet inside. Also upstairs they would hand wipe the floor which is weird but didn't vacuum the debris and left it in the corner multiple cleanings. They said they wiped the window sills and there was hair, dust and bugs there which means they didn't clean. I have a bi weekly cleaning schedule and we are 3 people and no pets in the home. Not worth the money and definitely not clean. One of the ladies was sick and my camera caught her leaving my Home blowing her nose putting her gloves on the shoes rack not sanitizing her hands or changing her gloves and coming back in my Home. No thank you not anytime and not during a pandemic. I also had my in laws start with them. My MIL asked what products they were using and said water and a soap and water solution. I have requested that the office not automatically charge my credit card on file, but to allow me to have my bank send a check. I spoke with a representative from their accounting office, and she assured me that many people send in checks to pay for services. I also told them that there would be times I would authorize them to charge my credit card on file. I spoke with the accounting office a number of times, but it appears they ignored my request. Since this company cannot honor customer's' requests, I am cancelling my services with them. It appears they are more interested in getting their money no matter what the customer may want. The cleaning provided by the team that cleaned my home were excellent. It is the accounting or billing department that caused the company to lose my business. read more

These scam artists claimed my bi-weekly service would be $186 plus tax. Imagine my surprise when my debit card was charged $649.50! They did not clean that well either and my wife and I had to behind them to clean the toilets and showers. I will be filing fraud charges with my bank and a formal complaint with the BBB and if they argue giving me a refund of the difference between the $649.50 and the $186 they were supposed to charge, I will file a formal criminal complaint with the District Attorney's office for credit card fraud. They are not bad but I was not impressed; at least they dust where you see and vacuum. I was expecting the rotations to be a more detail cleaning, but no, it's all the same. They never cleaned the doors or window sills, their "ecological" cleaning product, I think it was water. Doesn't clean and it won't smell clean either. I used to cleaned my house myself before and a toilet doesn't get dirty/algae within 2 days if you use a good chemical to clean it and if you brush it. They tell you "we are humans and we make mistakes", true, but if what you do for a living is cleaning, you know you have to sweep and mop the floors. They offer to come back next day if you are not happy with your cleaning, good, but I don't want to spend more time again to have people come over to clean again, missing to clean behind the blender is one thing, "forgetting" to clean the toilets, sweeping and mopping, it's just laziness and lack of professionalism. I gave one of the girls in the team a chemical to clean the toilets, I saw her reading the instructions, then I came back and noticed there was something sprayed on the granite counter, when I asked what she sprayed, she said the same chemical as the toilet!! read more

We contacted a few cleaning companies before deciding to give Cleaning Authority a try. With a cleaning company, you often pay more than just finding a cleaning lady by word of mouth. But what you get in exchange is a lot more accountability, at least with Cleaning Authority. Briefly, we had a "cleaning lady" that a neighbor had recommended and had used for years. After a few months we had to let her go... I got tired of the "OK, I'm done." Then I'd ask "did you vacuum the upstairs?" "Oh! did you want me to vacuum upstairs?" This is infuriating. Then over the next few days I'd find a whole list of things that I guess she didn't feel like cleaning last time. And this wasn't the first "cleaning lady" we've had that issue with. I'll briefly explain my big draw to Cleaning Authority. They do 2 types of cleanings. One is a general cleaning, the other is a heavy clean for a particular area. When the team comes to clean they clean every where, but then they also give you a focused cleaning in one particular area. Its broken down into 4 areas like living, bedrooms, kitchen... I'm sure the website has the exacts. They call them rotations. But for both general and rotation cleanings, they have a check list. And after about 4 or 5 cleanings so far I've yet to see something missed. On the first 2 visits they do 2 rotations each (you pay a little more for the first two visits, not much). Then every clean after that they do just 1 rotation. First, you meet with someone to go over your house, discuss what will be cleaned, how much things cost and just go over their policies. We met with Jim, and he couldn't have been nicer. He gave us all the info and answered everyone of our questions. We have places in our house that we don't use a lot, so we asked they not be cleaned every time. He simply gave us a dollar amount if we ever want them cleaned or decide to add them, I like the set pricing structure. And price by the way, I was expecting to pay a good bit more for a service over a "cleaning lady." I was pleasantly surprised that the difference was minimal. Once you are square on the details, your team of 2 comes and cleans. I'm told they are working on getting us settled with the same team every time, but so far we've had a new team each visit. Amazingly, I haven't been disappointed with any of the women. Twice an inspector has stopped by to see how they are cleaning. Everyone is very friendly, I've yet to meet a team that didn't have at least one English speaking member. To top this all off, I can email the company. I can pay by credit card. I can call and communicate with fluent English speaking reps. All the conveniences you miss out on with just "some lady." All in all, there is a company that is accountable should anything ever become an issue (theft, cleaning problems). We looked at a few companies, we debated getting a "cleaning lady" by recommendation... but at the end of the day we chose Cleaning Authority and I'm happy we did. They do a great job and best of all, I don't have to clean toilets anymore!!! read more

WOW! What a tremendous disappointment! A friend recommended this service. I filled out their online house profile, they spent 5 minutes doing a FaceTime virtual house tour, and gave us a cleaning estimate that was 34% higher than my friends. My house has 1 bath fewer and is 12% less square footage so when I questioned the estimate, I got a phone call telling me that the rates are like MMA training membership rates???, that my friend had been paying too little, and that the new owner had raised all the rates considerably. I asked if they would consider lowering the rate by just 10% to make the disparity easier to swallow and they came back with "we'd be happy to lesson the scope of your cleaning if you want to pay less". When I asked if it was possible to speak with the new owner, I was told NO, and they hung up on me! Believe me when I tell you this is the short version of the story with many more disappoint details about their unprofessional behavior left out. I don't post this poor review lightly. This is only the second review I've ever posted. The first was on a new burger joint in Missouri City and a year later, they are no longer in business. If it was possible to give this business a zero I would. I have never had a worse experience in my life with a business like this. The first visit the maid knocked the light kit off my ceiling fan in the den and it crashed onto our coffee table, scratching it and putting deep gouges in it. It was an expensive table but accidents happen so I left it up to the cleaning service to put everything back into its original condition. Their contract says they will cover damages. They put a new light kit on the ceiling fan but when it came to the table the repairs were in no way satisfactory,' they looked at and agreed. They offered us $500 TO GO AWAY!!!!! Jim Hilburn treated me like I was some sort of whiny baby rather than a dissatisfied customer,he refused to make things right he just wanted us to go away. He was rude, disrespectful and just creepy. I must say talking to him made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. We were more than happy to never see or hear from them again UPDATE- I have read Mr. Hilburns response and noted that he failed to mention that when I called him to discuss our complaints he would not speak. He just held the phone and would not speak. It was obvious he had others in the room listening I could hear them whispering. It was a childish and extremely unprofessional way to behave. The system they use is a clean by area each time and they rotate to another focus area the next time which means they don't ever clean your whole house just one area. They use all natural cleaning supplies which in my opinion do not clean as necessary. I'm Shane Carriere and I Started Service Nov 4 2013 came and agree to once month cleaning.They came out again Dec 3 2013 did a good job but I paid $153.00 for the first two so called deep cleanings now since I paid the $153.00 twice and my rate goes down to $93.00 I cant even get them scheduled to come out I'm on a waiting list and the next time even available is Jan 28 that is almost 2 months after last cleaning.Very Disappointed as they claim to be this great service and great and reputable company.
