During my fourth cleaning, their crew scratched my shower doors - damage covering over half of the door area, and the company refuses to cover the cost. At their request, I contacted multiple glass and shower door professionals, all stating the scratches are too extensive to repair and the glass cannot be replaced without replacing the entire enclosure. I obtained three quotes for full replacement, ranging from $1227 - $1736. In response, the company offered only $300, claiming the doors "still function", so they will not cover the actual cost to restore the enclosure to its previous condition. They could not provide the source of that estimate or any company that would "repair" the damage. $300 does not come close to covering the cost of the damage directly caused by their crew. Horrible experience. Crew ruined a night stand (put a deep gash on the top), I still can't figure out how this happened and broke another item. Team did not communicate any of this to me while cleaning, I discovered on my own. Reported and took pictures at their request - for the next day someone to call me at 9:30 and state they are on their way for our 10:00 appointment (which had never been discussed). Proceeded to ring my doorbell 3x - but couldn't answer because I wasn't there - and no appointment created. A week plus later - amd zero communication outside of a request for money. We were thrilled to have Team 19, Carin, Blenda and Iliana this week. We've used the Cleaning Authority over a year. Everyone is friendly but the teams do switch and some are rushed and do a less thorough job than others. In the past we've had teams not move any light furniture to vacuum or mop including things like laundry hampers and air purifiers that are on wheels. This team moved our large dog crate which takes up an entire corner of our room. Even though it was recently vacuumed (by us) in the last month, a ton of pet hair had accumulated in a short time. It took them 1 extra minute to do, but was so appreciated. We would love to have Carin, Blenda and Iliana back! read more

We are OK with the cleanings. They miss things now and again so we are always pointing things out when they arrive. Crews change frequently so not a lot of consistency. In the end though, they work hard and the house is spotless. What we really dislike is their service and policies: First.. if you need to cancel a cleaning for any reason.. vacations or appointment conflicts THEY CHARGE YOU $35! Even if it is a month in advance, $35. What a rip off. Second... we are supposed to be notified that the team is on their way. We do not. Yes, I have the app set correctly. So, I called. They reset my password. Everyone knows resetting a password has nothing to do with notifications. I complained but they reset it, I logged in with the temp PW and changed the PW to something more secure. Alas, as expected, no notification of their arrival. The $35 is a real issue. We are retired an travel quite a bit so we are constantly re-arranging. They did say I could not cancel and just reschedule OR cancel their service completely but then a restart does not mean I get my day/time. Last week, they raised their rates effective immediately. I've used many cleaning companies through the years, generally on a bi-monthly basis. My challenge has been that service tends to degrade over time, or teams are inconsistent, or the company simply doesn't follow the cleaning plan they advertise. I'm particular about details, so I'm not the easiest customer to have. I don't expect perfection every time, but a willingness to try for it. I've been using The Cleaning Authority for over 6 months. I've seen the trainers a couple of times. The manager is very responsive to my requests or notes, and they follow through on their plan. For each cleaning they focus on a particular area, while still cleaning all the rest of the house. This works well. The team approach gets them in and out of my house quickly. They communicate arrival time using an app that makes it easy for me to plan, and they flex within my scheduled day if I need it. They've earned my business for the long haul. read more

After two attempts at trying to get the initial "deep clean" that I was promised for my bi-weekly service, I terminated my service. Each time, the employees showed up late (without any sort of phone call or text to let me know), they were on their phones talking or texting, did not clean consistently in each room as the brochure listed. I had to re-clean my bathroom after they left. When I expressed my concerns to the owner of the franchise, all I received from him were excuses, a tone of voice implying that my expectations were too high and full of condescending corporate clapback. I expressed from the beginning and before each visit that my only concern was that I just really wanted the kitchen floors scrubbed and my bathrooms sanitized. I was promised deep cleans, "toothbrushed" detailed cleaning on fixtures and "extra attention" to bathroom areas. I provided pictures to the owner that things were not done and only received excuses that he sent his best team and that he was sorry that they could not live up to my expectations. I was told to clean my shower with bleach so that they could "just rinse it away when they got there." Why do I need to clean before they clean?? I was asked to provide supplies such as a step ladder and extra garbage bags for them. Why wouldn't a cleaning company provide their own tools and supplies for their employees? Why did I pay $290 for two visits when there is still dirt and debris on floors and kitchen counters that have coffee and grease still evident? If you're satisfied with just a quick "wipe down" than this may be for you. I never write bad reviews or complain but if a company promised to provide a very detailed list of a deep cleaning, you should make good on those! Don't be condescending to your customers...just do what you say you're going to do! The owner didn't even bother to address the issues with the pictures that I sent, didn't offer a resolution, didn't offer to come out to inspect it for himself, didn't offer any sort of refund. The Cleaning Authority has been cleaning for me for almost a year and I couldn't be happier. Team 9, Priscilla and Carmen are the best! They are friendly, efficient, quick and thorough. When they come to my home, they greet me with smiles and have pets for my dog. (I believe my dog would go home with them!) Priscilla and Carmen make everything look so nice. The house shines and they do it so efficiently! Priscilla always asks if there is anything special they can do for me-I can never think of anything because they do EVERYTHING! If i could give zero stars I would. I called the cleaning authority and requested a one time deep cleaning prior to listing our house for sale. We had done a little remodeling so there was some drywall dust so I asked that baseboards and trim be wiped down in addition to the normal cleaning. I was told it would take about two hours to which I said I didn't think that would be time enough to do a good job. 3 cleaners showed up and spent 3 hours. Without asking whether everything was ok they just packed up and left. After looking around I was shocked at the things that had been missed. I took photos out of frustration. I called the sales rep I had scheduled with and voiced my displeasure. I don't think he even apologized. He told me he was surprised because one of the cleaners was a supervisor. I texted him the photos I took and never even got a reply. I guess my problem was telling them it was a one time cleaning. They knew they had no future business to loose so it did not matter if the did a bad job. I had to spend a couple hours going over the areas they missed. This is the 3rd time that I had this company come out in 3 months. Recommended by a friend. The first 2 times they did a really good cleaning, but, this time they did a GREAT cleaning. I think that with any cleaning company it takes time for them to know all of the details of your house. Bill and his crew have been very friendly and accommodating to my schedule and detailed cleaning needs. They had 4 people working yesterday and even had a supervisor come out and check out the work in the beginning and end and made sure that I inspected as well to see if everything met my needs. I recently moved into a rental home. I expected to find the home in a very clean condition when I moved in, but that was not the case. The hardwood floors were not clean, showing shoe prints and residue from whatever was used on them last. The inside of my oven was covered in black residue, and other appliances were barely wiped down, with multiple details overlooked. A friend recommended Bill and his crew at The Cleaning Authority (Fishers) to provide their signature deep clean. They arrived on time and listened attentively to my primary areas of concern. The two employees were polite and organized, and I felt comfortable leaving the house to head to work. That evening, when I returned home, I was literally amazed at the difference. The hardwood floors looked polished. The floorboards were wiped down. Bathroom and kitchen counters were shiny. Sinks were clean and shiny. The kitchen looked amazing. My oven was CLEAN (and I mean CLEAN)! The stainless steel refrigerator even looked better, and I had already cleaned the front several times in an attempt to rid it of a weird residue. They wiped down the inside of my refrigerator, too. My entire home smelled fresh! There was no skimping on service from this team and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I have a baby and my baby was being needy on the day we were scheduled to have our house cleaned. He wouldn't let me put him down so I wasn't able to pick up things off of the counters like I normally do before the gals arrived. We have been using this service for multiple weeks now without any problems. Once the girls showed up, i opened the door and apologized for not being able to pick up. The girl at the door didn't act like she understood me and sort of scoffed and called the other girl over. The other girl asked me what was going on and I told her. I said you guys can still clean I just wanted to let you know why I wasn't able to pick up like normal. She scoffed as well and asked me to call the office. I said sure I can call- do you have the number- this whole time I'm holding my baby... she scoffs again- rudely and starts looking in her phone. They are talking in front of me in Spanish and being rude. After a few minutes of her looking through her phone for the office number, I said I don't understand, are you guys making fun of me? They just looked at me so I said, you don't have to clean today- I'll find the office number. Then I call the office- tell the guy what happened and he said "she wasn't being rude, that's just the way she is" and I said well it was rude. Then he said "What would you like for me to do for you?" I'm thinking aren't you the one in customer service that should be offering solutions? I said I didn't know so he said he could schedule another team to come out or not have that team come out anymore and I said that sounded good. He LAUGHED at me and then said well on which account? I told him he was now being rude to me and he said he was trying to fix the situation. I told him he just laughed at me and was rude so they could cancel our account and we would go with a different service. He said "fantastic" and hung up on me.
