We used The Cleaning Company for several months, although they do a wonderful job cleaning and we don't have any complaints about that, we ended up cancelling for several reasons. Primarily, we kept running into issues with their cleanings damaging our home. They would unplug things that didn't need to be unplugged and damage electronics plugging them back in, they also may have damaged our electrical sockets by incorrectly plugging back in a plastic socket plug. They further damaged several photos on our fridge, and dented our walls with their vacuum. So while their work was very good, we couldn't continue working with them. I think part of the problem is that they are trying to do everything very quickly, so even when they would dust our blinds I was worried they would rip them off the windows with how firmly they were dusting them. read more

I've never seen anyone do such a horrible job of cleaning. They were here for hours and I regret not micromanaging because..... There was toothpaste crusted to the bathroom counters and crumbs on the kitchen counter after they left. I had talked to them about our new puppy (not yet potty trained) and that there are likely dried pee spots I've missed and a few spots where I've picked up poop but didn't get a chance to scrub down the spot. I was willing to do this myself if they didn't do this work, but the woman said that's fine. They spread the oily urine EVERYWHERE. I re-washed the floors when they left (I had to walk on it with shoes it was so gross)- and I had to change the cleaning solution 2x because the water was black and the mop I cleaned 3 times because it was completely covered in dirt. They moved chairs by dragging and created a new deep scratch in my wood floors. They also broke the stopper in the bathroom sink but just left it full of water. They didn't have the professionalism to tell me about either mistake. This was supposed to be a "thorough" initial cleaning so that future cleanings are easier to maintain. They didn't seem to do the windows, mirrors, just spread dirt around the floors, barely lazily wiped the counters, and seem to have swept dirt under the furniture. I moved the couch and ottoman slightly and it was filthy piles. Furthermore, they were here for a long time, but I purposely was working from a room they wouldn't need to get into to not make it feel like I was watching over them (I wish I had). And when I do a deep cleaning of the entire house (I didn't even have them do a few of the rooms) (on my hands and knees scrubbing), its takes me less time alone than the two of them took to do a shitty job. Which means this company may be charging you for more time than a job should take on purpose. I have no idea what they could have been doing most of that time after looking at their work. I have emailed the business so hopefully their response will be adequate, but I'll update this if that goes poorly, too. I imagine their positive reviews are either people who were lucky and had better cleaners, or people who don't really notice the difference between a swiffer wet jet and actually mopping a floor, because this was worse than I could have imagined. read more

Our family of five moved into a new house across town, and we were swamped with projects. Defene, the owner, is a very personable and competent cleaner. I interviewed her and immediately hired her for weekly cleaning for my son and his family. She agreed to clean his 4 bed/3 bath home, empty kitty litter and do laundry! I was there on Saturday when she arrived promptly and immediately went to work. She moved constantly and clean everything, even baseboards. The shower door was immaculate and she put fresh linen on the one bed needing it. The fresh smell was a plus.
