We have a long-haired German Shepherd, and his fur is always a challenge -- but after they finished, there was no trace of a dog anywhere. I was genuinely amazed. They were thorough, detail-oriented, and clearly took pride in their work. Every room felt refreshed, spotless, and thoughtfully cleaned. This was a true deep clean, not a rushed surface job. 10/10 experience -- I would absolutely request Ritzy and Sandra again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-tier cleaning.

    I messaged on Saturday via Yelp and after a first automated response was still awaiting feedback by…read moremidweek, and I already had quotes from two other businesses by that point. When I did finally receive a response, they told me to reach out directly via their website which puts into question the status of the Yelp Guarantee for going through the Projects process. This seemed to indicate to me that the text in their automated response on Yelp Projects has not been properly updated to reflect how they want potential clients to request estimates. I can appreciate they have a lot going on but if this is how they treat you when they are actively courting your business, I find it difficult to believe they would be much better once they have already secured it. FOLLOW-UP PURSUANT TO BUSINESS RESPONSE: I appreciate the nuances of the Yelp Guarantee may be open to interpretation in terms of when it applies. That said, if the business chooses to be included in Yelp Projects, they should be willing to handle requests therein or at least set up a consultation through it, otherwise the Yelp Projects $2500 guarantee may be in jeopardy. The additional response from them indicates that only a quote is required to seal the deal so to speak, but I did not receive that at the time I was asked to reach out via their website, so it is entirely possibly they would have applied this later and be within the terms of the Yelp Guarantee. I have no way to know if that would have been followed since I did not pursue further contact with them after that point, though I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they would have made good on the guarantee through the process or through their business insurance if a work quality issue has transpired. When I initially made the request I had a two week span of availability for the actual cleaning to be done (though I mentioned ideally this would be to action the following week), and only because Juliana's took 3 business days to get back to me to tell me I should reach out directly did it appear to be an "expedited request". I am glad they have so much business that they can afford responses like this and be unavailable for service but if this were the case then that would have been a benefit to know from the outset so that I could have ruled them out as a candidate immediately. Considering most folks don't have more than a few weeks between closing on a house and moving in, and I personally reached out to them a day after my closing, I do not see any path I could have taken to reach out to them sooner. Juliana's notes in their added response that I did not actually enlist their services, which is true, though Yelp policy is that a review may take place so long as there was a consumer interaction/experience, which there was in this case.

I love, love, love my cleaning crew that comes every 2 weeks (NOT nooks and crannies). They've been with me for years and I'm so thankful for them. But, unfortunately, it snowed and snowed last week and they couldn't make it and then they got the flu. In desperation, I called Nooks and Crannies to just maintain the house. I did a last minute booking and got 20% off. I had used them before, and they were okay, they were not to the level of my current cleaning crew, but I figured anything was better than nothing. They booked me from 4:45 pm - 7 pm. They showed up at 4:55 pm and they danced around my driveway and chatted. I don't care.... please, play, and joke. They didn't come into my house until after 5 pm. I had made sure to make all the beds, do all the dishes, clean all the counters, clear all the floors, etc. They arrived and I took the family out to dinner so we were out of their way. We came home around 6:40 pm and they were walking out the door (so they cleaned from 5ish to 6:40 out the door). They didn't dust or vacuum the bedrooms. (They were booked until 7 pm) they also didn't vacuum the carpet in the foyer. I went upstairs and did most of the dusting and vacuuming in the bedrooms in 30 minutes BY MYSELF. If the team had wanted to finish they could have. It's cool. I'm sure they were tired. HOWEVER, when I get a bill for 2 hours I get a little annoyed. It's $140 an hour. I am happy to pay and to tip on service rendered but when you didn't work the full 2 hours .... no, just no. Additionally, my husband shared with me that he overheard them arguing about the number of hours they were getting paid for in my foyer. (I guess that's what they were doing vs vacuuming the foyer rug). I emailed them manager back and inquire about why I was billed for 2 hours when they didn't work 2 hours. She responded that her crew worked "really hard" because my house was "quite dirty" IF my house was "quite dirty" why would they leave 20 minutes early?! Look. I will admit when my house is "quite dirty" but I had busted my butt this week to ensure it wasn't dirty. In fact, neighbors had come in and commented "wow your house is really clean." Is this how Nooks and Crannies keeps their clients? If you're in Cville just avoid this cleaning service..... super grumpy about this tonight and thankful for my regular cleaning crew. If you have pets, kids, you know, show any wear and tear and actually LIVE in your house prepare to be judged by this cleaning service. I don't know about you, but I work hard both professionally and domestically, and I don't need this negativity in my life. And I had the honor of paying a pretty penny for it, too.

    I have had them cleaning my house now for a few months, and I have to say they do an amazing job…read more My house has never been cleaner and I am so completely thrilled with the quality and care that these ladies take in cleaning my home. If you leave dishes in the sink, they wash them...my bathroom has never been cleaner and there's no dust. I have two cats and a dog, and with a request (and small fee) they wash the walls too...I have never been happier with their service. They are also amazingly responsive on email and the phone. And customer service is important to them. Best decision I ever made.
