Great staff, quiet pool time, great walks on the golf course. Nice water view from our unit.

There are so many wonderful things I loved about this property 1. The Master Bathroom has a soaker tub. His and her vanities and a shower. It also has an extra large walk-in closet. 2. Garage to park in. 3. Large lanai loved eating our meals out there. Great quality barbecue. 4. Pool and gym. We were able to work out each morning. 5. The area had great hiking. 6. Alanna is an amazing host. Her condo is immaculately clean. Aloha. I shall be back.

Paradise at the Plantation was exactly the right choice for our trip. Alanna (the owner) was helpful, communicative, and extremely detail-oriented. My parents say the bed in the master bedroom is one of the most comfortable they've ever slept in. Loved having morning coffee on the lanai overlooking the pool, and jogging around the resort grounds, including some jogs to Wylie and Sea Lodge beaches (it's a steep climb but worth it!). Paradise at the Plantation was ideally located for exploring the North Shore, Hanalei, and beyond. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I'm ever lucky enough to get to go back to Kauai!

The food carts are good and very convenient located on the property right outside of building 5. I would come back. My only complaint is that there are chickens everywhere and they woke me every morning between 3:30 and 5:00. Next time i will bring earplugs!!

Originally we were told AC is extra $30 per day, but somehow it was included when we checked in. Oddly they only allow 5 devices associated with your room, which is not really feasible in this modern age of tech/gadgets. The staff was able to add 5 more devices free. Our unit had a modern smart water heater, dryer, washer, dishwasher, all appliances were new. The chickens on the island when I had visited always went off around 5AM. At times going off at random times between 3 -5am. Not the resort's fault. But what I do fault them on is poor sound insulation. Example is every room has shuttered windows and a screen. NO Wall there. So its easy for sound to travel right through. I wore ear plugs all through the night and still got woken up by those chickens. Also, people above us on the 2nd floor, you could hear every step they made (not their fault). So. be warned, if you are a light sleeper - good luck. Pools were fine, not warm. The 2 Hot tubs on next to the main lobby were hot and nice. The other on the other pool area wasn't as hot. The grills there worked well. We tried them out for a meal or two. No house keeping, but you may request them to bring extra towels, pool towels, etc. through their text system. Convenient way to communicate with staff.

My husband and I stayed here for a week trip in the summer. I'm not sure how they can categorize…read morethemselves as a resort as you do have to leave the property to get basic needs such as breakfast and lunch. The two restaurants on the property open at 3pm, and are actually closed two days of the week (Wednesday and Thursday were the closed days when we were there). We had to go to the 1 Hotel Resort for breakfast and lunch, which isn't far and can be accessed through the hotels golf cart transportation system, but defeats the purpose of the resort being the destination itself. And if you plan on going anywhere, you NEED a car, there are no Ubers or Lyfts around. We felt stranded when we arrived from our flight at lunch time, starving, and learned the restaurants are closed for another 3 hours, until 3pm. It does have a coffee shop that has drinks, cold and hot homemade sandwiches and snacks for on the go, but the hours it's open depends. The flyer they hand out says it's open from 7am-4pm but we just watched them close today at 1:30pm. There's a QR code that says to scan for live hours, which tells me it doesn't follow the 7am-4pm time frame at all. How would we then know when it's open to plan for it? Thankfully we got in before they closed for a lunch snack. That said, the operating times that can be inconvenient and if you want a proper sit down meal it's not the place. I found myself confused at times, wondering who this place was for because at times I needed food or simply a place to sit, everything seemed to be closed, all the way to the detail of seating areas on a busy dinner night. It's almost as if this isn't a resort meant to be open or helpful for guests living there. Most of the staff is welcoming, I saw one review mention some animosity towards tourists which I could definitely sense at the front desk with one of the ladies, but the rest of the ladies were nice, I think it was just her. 1 Hotel definitely has better service, where they actually critically think to go above and beyond on getting you what you need, though that's expected due to the price difference. The room was clean and had what we needed, full kitchen, master bed and a separate space with a pull out bed that was useful for our family who stayed with us to help with our baby. Overall, I'd rethink calling this location a resort, it's nice but a bit misleading.

Booking.com emailed the resort asking for a free cancellation since it is only one day past cancellation date. She refused to do it and refuse to let me speak to anyone else at the resort. She put in a ton of time for us including walking the property, helping us think through tradeoffs, coordinating inspections, and staying on top of every detail. She was always responsive and gave us straight, honest input, which I really value. What stood out most is that she genuinely cared about getting us into the right home, not just closing a deal. There were multiple points in the process where her guidance made a real difference, and I don't think we would have landed this house without her. Even after closing, she's continued to help us get settled and navigate things locally, which says a lot. If you're looking for someone who will put in the work, be honest with you, and actually advocate for your best outcome, I'd strongly recommend Anne.

We have purchased many properties over the last 10 years and Anne's experience, thoroughness and "easy to work with" attitude was the BEST! She also has an impressive list of island contractors who can help out with any work that needs to be done. We hope to purchase more properties on Kauai and if we do, Anne is our FIRST and ONLY call!
