My cousin and I hit up countless stores looking for vintage 70s clothes for a theme party, and our search ended here. This place has some really cool threads from different decades, but they were heavily stocked with what we were looking for. Shoes, boots, jackets and just about everything else needed to complete your fit- all available in a variety of sizes. Absolutely adore this place!! Easily the coolest vintage clothing shop we went to the entire trip! Staff was SO helpful and friendly, helping us organize our haul into the dressing rooms. Everything was SO organized and clean!! So many options and racks to sort through! Even the jewelry was super dope! Lots of Levi's, overalls, jackets, flannels, perfectly-broken-in tee shirts, vintage dresses, and so many more! Even had beautiful scarves, scrunchies, and doc martens there! It is a bit pricey compared to a traditional thrift store, as the place has a more curated and organized feel to it, but still less than online thrift-resellers would charge. Additionally, there was no public restroom, but that was a theme all up and down that area, as only 2 stores out of maybe 20 had customer restrooms. Super inconvenient, but not abnormal for the area. Im so shocked that this place only has 3.5 stars! We had a 5 star experience! Plus it was a BOGO day, so even better! read more

This is a great second hand shop with a range of unique vintage items, T-shirts, and a nice selection of boots. I bought a pair of boots with an unknown defect, and they exceeded my expectations to rectify the purchase. The staff members are really friendly and seem to enjoy helping you find an item that is perfect for you. Super great store, but nothing is sorted by size and the tags don't have sizes either so you kinda have to guess. Also they don't really have anything over an xl, so if you're plus size you won't find anything. No employees greeted us, yet I saw them greeting others, so not sure what that was about. Most things are around $20 but they have some outrageous items priced at $2,000. Many items had holes and stains, which is common with vintage clothes but they should be marked more accordingly. I'd love to come back when I'm skinny and hopefully buy something then. read more

The Clothing Warehouse is a thrift store in Little Five Points that buys/sells used men's and women's vintage apparel, footwear, and accessories. It's similar to nearby Rag-O-Rama, but doesn't have as big of a selection, except for boots and sunglasses. There are two Clothing Warehouse locations in Atlanta: this one and one in Midtown. I visited specifically looking for 1980s retro apparel for an 80s-themed party my company is throwing. I was disappointed in the men's inventory. Then again, I was looking for particular articles of clothing that screamed 80s. I did find a couple Members Only jackets on the rack for $40 a jacket. If I was looking for a Members Only jacket for everyday wear, I might've considered it, but I only needed this getup for a party and maybe break it out again for special occasions like Halloween. I found a ridiculously ugly (and awesome) white, purple, and teal colored track jacket with shoulder pads. White, purple, and teal are the colors of the 1990s Charlotte Hornets basketball team. It was $30. Jeez. I got a good laugh out of some jackets like this short-topped, ladies-blouse-like jacket that I think only Wham! era George Michael could pull off. All of the jackets had some noticeable wear to them, which made me wonder if the prices were justified. If you *really* wanted one of these jackets, then perhaps yes. There's an entire room in the back of the store dedicated to boots. The ordering counter is a 360-degree glass display case with many sunglasses. The employees I've encountered here are all upbeat and super friendly. Most of the parking costs money. Junkman's Daughter charges $5 if you want to park in their lot. The other pay lots are cheaper, I think. On Sundays, street metered parking is free. If you don't mind walking, you can parallel park along one of the residential neighborhood side streets for free. read more

This place had great clothes that were very different from most items that you would find at your typical trendy mall clothing retailer. While some of the clothes do look like they were taken from the set of "That 70's Show." I really did like most of the clothing items, except for those tight jeans and corduroy pants for guys, which seem to be one of the weirdest but most popular fashions in urban culture. The staff is also extremely nice and helpful also. I think I was asked if I needed any assistance at least 3 times by three different employees, so it is safe to say that any individual shopping here can expect to be greeted with a smile and helpful concern for your shopping experience. read more

Clothing Warehouse is the kind of store that ruined thrift stores for everyone else. Basically, they take the cream of the crop that you could've paid $4 for and jacked the prices back up to what they probably cost originally. Which sucks, but I've been willing in the past to pay $20 for an old t-shirt if it's the right kind. A nice, broken in and comfortable old tee is worth more than a brand new never-worn one if you ask me. What you may or may not find here is totally luck of the draw. I've come in some days and found 10 things I wanted in fifteen minutes and ended up having to put some of it back. I've gone and spent an hour looking and found nothing. It all depends on what they get in. Unlike other stores of this nature, there are dressing rooms and mirrors and the staff is helpful when they want to be. You can find all kinds of cool and/or funny stuff here if you have the time. But bring your little pocketbook because they charge for the convenience. read more

I went here for the first time with a friend a couple days ago, and when we entered the store the employees at the front were looking at me weird. Then when we went to start looking at clothes, the employee in that section left for a second and suddenly another employee asked if they could hold my pizza box and the other employee who was there before asked if they could hold the pair of jeans I was looking until I was ready to try them on. My friend, who is white, explained this has never happened to them and so have other white friends of mine. Needless to say, I felt targeted because of my race. read more

Good for: Western wear, 80s fashion, biker wear. The Clothing Warehouse is excellent if you are looking for unique vintage fashion. This is thrifting made easy; they do all of the sorting for you. Don't miss the bin in the dress shop where you can take anything for $7.95. Also, Melanie? (I hope that was her name, a delightful shorter blonde gal wearing black rimmed glasses, open toed shoes with beautiful socks)... As we were leaving the store, I turned to my boyfriend and said "I wish we could take her back with us". You were delightful, not only to myself but all of the other shoppers as well. After several more visits, an edit: this place sucks. Yes, they have a great selection and if you're anything like me you'll get giddy at the sight of the rainbow of vintage dresses along the wall, but look closer. As you thumb through the $35-$50 simple polyester pieces, you'll find that 85% of them are in horrendous condition, be it holes, stains, gashes, you name it. And no price reduction. I recently saw a lovely number priced at $50 with one of the mesh sleeves (the piece de resistance of the dress) completely ripped in two. For $5 I would have bought it and figured out a way to make it work, but at that price (and no, no discount due to the damage) you'd have to be taking some crazy pills to think it was worth it. And judging by the clientele of the store, I think someone DOES have some crazy pills, and yes, they're selling. read more

Now here's a vintage store that I liked. Mind you, I used the word, liked, not loved, but it was still an enjoyable peruse even though I left empty handed. For starters, the dresses are all organized by color. This is a great way to display the vintage frocks and I really liked the little plastic raincoats they had on their shoulders to protect them from grimy hands touching them. Cool feature. As some of the other yelpers have mentioned, they also have a sick collection of cowboy boots, but I don't collect those, so while impressive, it wasn't a huge draw for me. Then there were the prices. I shop in LA and SF for most of my vintage, with the occasional score found in NY. On average I pay anywhere from $8-$40 for the A-line, polyester cute dresses that line my closet with pride. Here, however, the basic and not all that impressive average dress started at around $40-$50 and that in my vintage loving a opinion was a little on the pricey side considering that many of their styles were 80's and bad 80's at that. I can see paying that for a gem of a 50's or 60's score, but a polyester or satin striped 80's dress with an unflatteringly high waist line, I think not. I also found the people working here to be a little on the snotty side. They didn't say hi, or welcome or anything that even acknowledged a new customer and having worked retail before, I know it's not THAT hard to engage someone who walks into your store. I'd still come back if I lived near enough, but seeing as how I don't, my guess is that I won't be lying in bed at night crying over it. Oh well, win some, lose some. read more

I like this place. As far as price, it isn't too spectacular. But the staff is very helpful, and they do actually try to find something that you would like. I went in here with a specific kind of vintage in mind. Lately, I've been looking for 1940s-1960s dresses. You know, the ones with collars, buttons, and full skirts. I've even purchased a couple of legitimate 1950s dresses from Etsy. And yes, the real deal is actually expensive. Around, if not more, than what this store charges for clothes. However, these are not all the real deal like Etsy offers. There are a lot of new clothes in the guise of vintage clothes, which can be misleading to someone who doesn't know any better. There aren't a lot of dresses in my size, for starters. I'm small, and even a lot of small sizes were too big, gap-y, or just awkward fitting on my petite frame. That was a huge disappointment, but maybe it was for the better (otherwise I would have spent more money!). I did end up finding a really cute lemon yellow skirt, full-length, for about $27. Which is expensive as far as what I'm used to buying (I basically buy 80% of my clothes in thrift stores, haha), but I rationalized it since it was really cute and I can wear it a lot of different ways. What everyone is saying about the general state of the clothes is correct, too. I only tried on 5-6 dresses/skirts, but 2 of them had cuts and gaps in the fabric. A lot of the clothes I looked at, but didn't end up trying on, were like that: ripped, cut, missing belts, buttons, seams...You would think that if you were going to spend over $30 on a piece, that you wouldn't ALSO have to fix it yourself too. At least most of the people you buy from on Etsy actually take the time to fix things like that. read more

This place was my worst enemy when I got to Atlanta. I was used to Memphis thrift stores, where you could get Japanese, bell-bottomed Adidas outfits, in pristine shape, for 99 cents. Amongst other things. This doesn't happen in Atlanta. Instead, places like these have gained some upper hand within the thrift stores. They buy up the good stuff before it gets put out, then sell it for 10 times the price. I only go here when I am desperate to find something cute and I have hours to spare. I would advise, whenever you are in a po-dunk town, to find a thrift store and pillage it yourself. You will spend so much less for what you can get here. read more

YOU CRAZY PEOPLE. Check out the clothing warehouse by the pound in EAST POINT, duhhh. It's bin style. per pound the clothes are like 6 bucks. If you can take the time to dig, you will find some seriously unreal bargains. The staff is awesome and will talk to you/smoke cigarettes with you/whatever. They provide you with boxes and the best way to do it (I think) is pile the clothes you don't want in one box and the stuff you want in the other until you are satisfied with the results. I truly, truly love this place and their boot selection kills the L5P one to death. read more

I walked in here for two reasons: It was cold. I wanted to look at clothes. I was greeted by a friendly-looking employee. I started looking around, and there wasn't really a designated men's and women's section. I asked about that and they said they encourage unisex clothing. OK, that's cool. I kept browsing. Then, someone asked if I was looking for anything in particular, and I said no, not really. She saw I was looking at dresses and brought one over she thought I should try on. How nice, I thought. So I tried it on, and she just kept coming back with more. At this point I didn't want to be rude, so I complied. Big mistake. She was being really aggressive when I said I wasn't interested. They were all too big, and I wasn't about to pay $45 for an old dress that needed to be altered. She offered to knock the price down. I'm still not interested. Then, I was cornered. I felt like I couldn't leave without buying something. I thought about sneaking out, but that was no bueno. I was literally trapped! I looked at sweaters, and she brought one out that she thought I would like. I said there was a stain on it and she responded with something along the lines of "That's what you expect with vintage clothing." (-_- ) I bought a red sweater for $30, just to get out of that place. Never again will I come back. But at least the sweater was cute. Two stars for the sweater. read more

The clothing warehouse is a fantastic place to find vintage clothes and era-specific pieces! Tons of clean stock, well organized, covid friendly practices, and really knowledgeable and kind owners and staff. There's all kinds of cool sweatshirts, t shirts, jackets, sweaters, denim, and more - you just have to put in the work to look Through all the bins! Great prices and really easy to buy from. You can find neat pieces from all eras. Definitely plan to spend a few hours here if you want to find the really good stuff, but it's definitely worth your time! read more

I actually really enjoyed this store. My friend and I had went down to Atlanta for the weekdend for the Ingrid Michaelson concert, and decided that we wanted to walk around Little 5 Points before we went to the concert, and since we didn't want to carry anything lumbersome around during it we decided we were just going to look at things, and if anything caught our eye we would come back the following day. Well something did catch our eye. One a beautiful mint green dress that was perfect for my body type, and some very hipster-esk glasses that were just fun for me and my friend. We came back the following day, and my friend decided that not only did he want the glasses that he had found the day before, but a vest that fit him perfectly, and a hat. We had so much fun just playing around in the store that was half of the fun of it. The girls that were working in their both days were super nice and very helpful, and really seemed like people you'd want to hang out with even after you left the store, which is always great to find in a sales person. Everything was pretty well organized , and you could move around the store easily, and it was clean, so that was great; nothing worse than an over crowded store that smells and looks gross. The negatives of the store are that 1. it can be a bit pricey, (I went back and forth about the dress since the material wasn't the greatest and it had almost a $50 price tag, but the fit was great and I loved so the dress won over the price in the end). And 2. The sizes aren't always clearly marked if marked at all, I know this doesn't seem like a big deal, and I do love how they have thing organized by color, but if they could organize by size within a color it would be fantastic. Overall, really liked the store, and will definitely will be going back in the future, just have to make sure my bank account has money in it! read more

I am a fan of the clothing warehouse for a few reasons. First off I was given great service (and of course I forgot her name again!) Bu then I had sticker shock ... the dresses I liked were not even lined... however I was pleased to find the prices are "negotiable" which was helpful. I only picked up a few items but was grateful for the discount. Lastly I thought there was a wide selection that I could sort through all day! I plan to go back to find those unique and beautifully dated items that will give my wardrobe a bit of uniqueness. The selection isn't quite as high quality as Stefan's around the corner, but it's decent. Lots of t-shirts to choose from, but the prices seem higher here than most used/vintage shops in the area. I guess that location costs have to be made up somewhere. I walked in to find an old Hawaiian shirt for a theme day at work, I left with nothing. My issues: 1. Absolutely no one to greet or help me out when I entered. I might as well have done the zombie walk as I still would have ignored. 2. This is a consignment store? Your prices say different as they are way overpriced. Sticker shock in a consignment store? That's like making an Amish video game. It makes no sense. 3. No goodbye either as I left. It seems the customer doesn't matter here. Weird that this place has stayed open for so long. Like Nikki, I wanted to find some Atlanta thrift stores where I oculd spend $1.99 on a t-shirt and buy vintage beads to take apart and put back together as a new piece of jewelry. Out in L5P, I was hoping to find such an establishment, and wandered into The Clothing Warehouse to see what I could see. This vintage shop has some amazing pieces (there was a gorgeous yellow 50's housedress I SO wanted to buy), but they also have crazy prices. Everything is in quality condition, and there are some beautiful items available, but I there wasn't much in the place I wanted to spend that kind of money on. If I had a million dollars, however, I would spend it on that yellow housedress, a great pair of cowboy boots from their vintage boot wall, a few t-shirts from their in-house transfer service (you can flip through a book and choose a transfer, and they'll do it for you in-store), a cute hat and some funky sunglasses. Basically, 5 stars for cool stuff, but definitely loses points for the price - I have yet to purchase anything from their fine boutique, and it doesn't look like I will be anytime soon!! read more

I never really thought about reviewing this place until I started reading other reviews...Leigh's in particular. I remember The Point, and for a long time I avoided this place because at the time in my 20 something mind, this joint took that away. Of course that isn't true, but still. Then my friends and I began to notice that we were digging more and more at our favorite thrift stores and not finding anything we wanted. Where did all the cool stuff go? To this place. Ugh! Even more reason to dislike this store! First our favorite venue with the best jukebox ever goes away, and then the clothes before they were even on our backs! (Keep in mind, I was a bit angsty back then) I finally went into this store a few years later and yes, they DID have a few cute things...but I do remember saying, "What!? You want how much for this shirt that looks like someone wiped their can with it?" Not all their clothes are stained and torn, and I'm sure to some folks the prices are reasonable...they obviously do well because they are still there.
