This was very unprofessional. My wife then called to speak to the owner and informed her the text was rude and she immediately replied back with "I don't give a fuck, you fucking bitch!" Mind you she was on speaker and I overheard everything even with my 3 year old sitting nearby. I never have met the owner but with the way she just came off, she is a very angry woman and we had no right to be attacked this way.

She advertises this area as part of her horseback riding tour but she doesn't have permission from the owners to be there. Amber has complete disregard for other people at the creek. She takes her horses right on top of other people trying to enjoy the area, putting them at risk by potentially getting injured by her horses and let's the horses poop all around the other people in the water. Plus she always has a pack of unleashed dogs that she lets run wild. Moreover, she gets the horses to deep into the water where they start freaking out and a child was bucked off the horse due to Ambers unsafe decision to trample through private property. Furthermore, Amber is continually being charged with trespassing onto this private property and she will be held accountable for every person she brings with her on her horseback rides.

There are two stacked loops through rugged mixed timber and two one-way trails along Piney Creek. The trails are not well marked and there are a few "social" trails that can get you lost. A map and compass are a good idea if you plan on hiking from the north trail head to the south trail head or vice versa. This is a gorgeous and rugged area though, and easy to get to from Branson if you just want to get away for a few hours.

My guide was fantastic, super friendly, and pointed out interesting things along the way like wild hog tracks on a tree and a spring where the hogs had made a little "mud spa." It really made the ride special. The only downside was my interaction with the owner. I had called earlier in the morning to check if they were open after a heavy rain, and a very kind lady explained that while reservations were preferred, I could just call about 30 minutes before arriving. When I did call later, the owner answered and was very upset that I said I'd be there in 30 minutes, not realizing I'd spoken with someone earlier. Once we cleared up the misunderstanding, she seemed more businesslike, but it definitely left a negative impression. My advice: make a reservation in advance to avoid any issues. The ride itself is absolutely worth it, but the overall experience could be smoother with better communication at the front end.

The lodge is well maintained and has numerous indoor activities like pool, ping pong, fooseball, games, and a movie theater. The food is delicious and plentiful. But what makes the ranch truly special is the staff. The wranglers are awesome and ready to help even the most novice riders. The climbing guides are masters at their craft and patient beyond belief. Kids club for the little ones is exciting and fun. The barn loft has climbing walls, basketball, and sooooo much more. WiFi is available at the lodge and phone coverage is a bit spotty, but who needs that anyway. You'll be so busy, even teenagers won't notice. All in all, this trip exceeded all expectations. The terrain was extremely rough, rocky, and covered with loose gravel--something we were not adequately prepared for. Unfortunately, both of us wiped out and ended up with injuries. The area is beautiful and seeing the various livestock was fun, but equipping guests with more information about the trails would have been extremely helpful. I would not recommend for novice riders or small children!
