Now I love a good junk store, usually the junkier (tetanus shot required) the better (the…read moretreasure), but i find very little at the 2 local Community Thrift stores that doesnt look like it was pulled straight out of the local dump...like, who actually donates stuff in this condition and why does it end up on a shelf with a price. Id be too embarrassed to give it away! And then, what is decent is priced as if it is brand new. I mean come on...a purple crown royal bag for 50 cents? Strike 3...so after being throughly rejected by the manager (at the hwy 5 location) by daring to ask if she'd take any less for a scratched and peeling painted glass dish priced at $15... I found a better version and way cheaper right next door at the fancy attitude resale shop. I am not a negotiator but the item was overpriced and damaged, so I didnt think it would hurt to ask. I was told by the cashier that the manager would have to determine discounts. The manager without even considering I was purchasing over $50 of other overpriced items, stated that prices were set...just before making up a price for an unpriced item i had. Good grief. I just continue to fail to see why this thrift store these days are inflating their prices right along with everything else.

There is an array of clothes, cookware, furniture, books, appliances, baby section, and more. You may have to do some digging. I once found a J Crew dress that retailed for $30 and bought it for $2. I found a few items I wanted but didn't really need. I'm a thrift store junkie... lol. There is even a guest book at the front of the store for you to sign. You can also leave your number and if there is something in particular you are looking for they will call you to let you know if they get it in. You can find vintage items, used clothing and household goods. They also have brand name items still with the tags. I ended my shopping experience with a nice 20 minute conversation with Heaven and her mom. It was so refreshing to meet some genuinely friendly people. They also informed me that they will be providing an online store for their customers. I will definitely be stopping in again.
