It soaks right into my belly so by the time I need to get dressed in the morning, nothing is greasy to get on my clothes. I use a couple drops of oil pre-blow dry and then again to finish off the shine and my hair feels and smells so wonderful. I dye my hair black and it gets pretty dry but this coconut oil stuff has brought it back to life and I get compliments all the time on how shiny my hair is. YAY! In one month I've gone through half a bottle of coconut oil (3x/day on my preggo belly topped with body butter). The smells are truly divine. Lena will mix scents or recommend what goes together. Ok, so I'm a fairly new customer, but I think I might be obsessed. :) I first came across The Coconut Hut at the Aloha Festival this past August. I love anything that smells like coconut, but especially anything made from coconut oil because I have eczema. It was super busy and my family was ready to go home, but I was able to quickly sample coconut oil in Coconut Tiki Island and the roll on perfume in Coconut Goddess. They were so friendly and helpful, so I grabbed a business card in hopes of finding more that I liked on their website. I certainly did, and I should mention that I LOVED how I smelled the rest of the day! The rest might be history. In two months I have ordered twice from the website and visited the Millbrae Art & Wine Festival to try and to purchase more products. My 10 year old daughter loves trying new scents, so she goes through the scent menu with me. There are countless wonderful scents from fresh to fruity to floral and everything in between, but best of all, scents that remind me of anything from the islands. I use the coconut oil everyday on my skin and hair. I layer it on my skin with the Big Kahuna Ultra Rich Body Butter as Lena suggested. My skin is so soft and smooth. I first discovered the Coconut Hut at Campbell's annual Boogie on the Bayou about a year ago. As a coconut fiend and a sucker for anything Aloha, I was immediately drawn to the numerous coconut smells they offer - soon, I was in HEAVEN. I have found it difficult to find coconut scents that aren't completely overly sweet or perfumey - but the Coconut Hut has such an expansive scent menu (including fruits, florals, aquatics, desserts, and more) that you are guaranteed to find something you like. I immediately picked up two bottles of coconut oil in Coconut Milk (a soft, sweet, pure coconut scent) and Coco Mango (a deliciously fruity combination of coconut and mango). The coconut oil is the perfect beauty product - perfect for your skin and in your hair (about a million times more cost-effective than Moroccan Oil AND better smelling). Even when I almost convince myself to try something else, I always end up ordering another bottle of coconut oil. In my most recent order, I picked up a bottle of the Sea Spray Body & Hair Mist (in Coconut Milk - one of my fave scents), b/c I also use aloe vera in my hair. OMG. So far, I am LOVING it - my hair is behaving better than it has in a looong time. I had a HG (Holy Grail) perfume oil that lasted me about 4 years. I have to admit that I "cheated " on Coconut Hut & purchased another same-scented perfume oil from a different etailer that was having a huge sale. Anyways, that scent went rancid shortly after a year. So disappointing. Fantastic customer service & quality products. I LOVE their coconut oils. I have a nice little collection of about 5 scents (and one unscented for removing makeup) that I can't get enough of. The amazing smelling combos are freshly made to order which makes me feel a little better that they aren't just sitting on a shelf somewhere. They aren't heavy hitting oils which is what I prefer. I don't want to feel like I've bathed in a vat of french fry leftovers. They are silky smooth and make my skin feel amazing. I just got their eye cream so I am trying it out at night. I found it too heavy to use during the day even when using a light hand. But quite frankly, I'm not a fan of too much stuff on my face during the day so that's probably just a personal preference. One big plus about this product though, is a little goes a LOOOOOONG way. You get your money's worth and then some! Both times that I have purchased products, from them was at a booth during one of their many appearances around the bay. Great customer service, and very patient about the millions of questions I have had. I am picky about ingredients, I don't use all that chemical crap you usually find on store shelves. I am a sucker for anything that reminds me of Hawaii since it reminds me of the time i spent there as a girl and it is also where I got married. I was really excited to pass their booth during a recent festival and was getting ready to make a purchase for myself and friends/family members On the rating: +4 Stars for the scents offered - good selection of scents based on the 5 I sniffed. -1 Star since the owner was really rude to me and made me uncomfortable. She spent the entire time talking to her friend who was visiting about one of her wonderful customers that helped sell her products. Apparently this person was so fantastic that they asked her to help work at other shows/festivals. Before anyone bombs me for this feedback...I'd like to highlight that i was the ONLY customer in front of her booth and it was difficult for me to ignore this conversation....well, while I was being ignored... -1 because they wanted to charge me to swipe my card. FYI, I wasn't trying to make a tiny $20 purchase. In any case, I'm 100% certain that this is against bank policy and I recall a 7 on your side series on this topic. Non issue for me since I had the cash and am happier that they have no record of me via a bank transaction. I will say that the friend is who saved my shopping experience. We started chatting (once the owner was done talking to her) and she made some great suggestions based on what I mentioned that I like. Ahh yes, Coconut Hut! I've placed more than a few orders with this company over the years, and I'm highly overdue for another. They have never disappointed me in any way at all. Lena is a sweetheart and always eager to please. I love the products and especially the huge array of deliciously tropical scents they offer. I am happy I found Coconut hut as her products are beyond ordinary. I sampled some of their essential oil, and oil for the hair in Kai. I left and couldn't stop smelling myself.
