This is about my terrible experience at The Coffee Barn located at the end of cook road. I have been going there for a long time-I always order an iced americano. Really good coffee, nice employees. Out of nowhere probably about 5 months ago, one of the owners started being rude towards me every time I went there. Things like ignoring me until she absolutely had to talk to me, and just being really negative. I definitely noticed it, but didnt necessarily take it personally because I thought she might be having a lot of bad days etc. Also i didnt really care too much because I just go there to get coffee, not to be friends with any of them. As her attitude toward me started to get progressively worse and more obvious, I eventually started making my own coffee at home. I realized its fun to make it, its much cheaper and tastes just fine, so I didnt go there too often. One of the last times I went there was to use a free coffee I had had for a while. The owner was there and I watched her draw a line through my punch card, as to mark that it is used, and NOT free. She handed it back to me and said I had already used my free coffee, even though I had not. So I let her know that, and she got up in my face and let me know she was the owner (which I already knew from the other owner-her sister) and told me I had to pay for it. So, I payed for a coffee that was supposed to be free and let it go. I went there yesterday and the owner was there while training a new girl. I sat in my car patiently for at least five minutes while I watched the owner and the new girl help other people. There were people walking up to the stand after I arrived, and people driving through after I had arrived, and the owner WAS helping these people while still ignoring me. So I decided to politely ask the owner why she was letting me sit here for five minutes while she was helping everyone else-even the people who came through after me. Her response was that shes letting the new girl do everything herself... I pointed out to her that she was not letting the new girl do everything herself because I have been sitting here watching them both talk politely and assist every customer besides me. Her response then was to yell out the window that I am no longer welcome there and that if I came back that she would call the police. Needless to say I was shocked at her reaction. I am not a person who causes trouble with anyone, I may be a little bit straightforward at times which might come across wrong to some, but I always act appropriately, especially when the situation calls for it. So I was appalled at her response toward me, and feel that I should let everyone know what a horrible experience I had. I have never been treated that way ever by anyone who runs a business. I have not done anything to them or their business besides support it. Even if the owners welcomed me back, I would never go back there again. I felt very disrespected. I literally asked two questions about a couple of their flavors and the girl was so incredibly insulting to me right off the bat. She told me that I was taking too long to "figure it out" and that other people were waiting (there was only one car behind me). I felt rushed, and so i drove around to the other side of the stand so the car behind me could order. The girl continued to have a bad attitude and so I asked if there was someone else who would be willing to help me (I was getting coffee for a couple of co-workers as well). Once I asked her that, another girl immediately came to the window and said if I'm not happy with their service I could go else where. At this point I was furious and explained that I was there to order not only a drink for myself, but three other people!! I said I would not be ordering my drinks from them nor would i be coming back ever again. Once I said this, she told me she was the owner and that she did not care how many drinks I was going to order, and told me to leave. I have no idea who the person is who owns this place, but I hope she reads this! You need to get your priorities straight and learn something about customer service! The service at this coffee stand is horrible! I used to buy my coffee there all of the time, but now the girls who work there sit and talk to there friends at one window while I sit and wait for them to stop talking. This has happened several times. I understand it sometimes will take a few minutes to give a customer there order...but there is NO coffee ever handed while i wait. I would rather give my money to one of the other coffee stands at Cook Rd. I have given them my business for 3 yrs and I am done! read more

I was here with my cousin a few years ago and we both loved the coffee! Unfortunately this time around, not so much. The girl who was working was rude, and they had dirty shot glasses that they used. I ordered an iced white chocolate mocha with whipped cream and ended up driving back because my drink was filled with so many coffee grounds! The girl was really rude about it and wouldnt make the drink for me again unless I paid for it again. Pretty disappointed. read more

Well my girlfriend and I visited the coffee barn the other day. Rude service, coffee was just ok... they got the order wrong, and seemed very annoyed that they had to make it again even though there werent any customers there, and it was a pretty simple order-16oz americano with two sugars. Great coffee, great cookies, great hot chocolate, great location and great people! Overall a great place! Definitely a 5 star establishment!

Do not spend your money here. There are way better places to go visit. Start the year right !
