Amazing treats and nice small atmosphere. The owner immediately acknowledged us and got us what we wanted within 10 minutes

Imagine going to a park and your kids see a truck serving shaved ice. Unfortunately, that's as far…read moreas our imagination will go. One Friday afternoon, Kona Ice was parked at Legion Park in North Everett. My family lined up and expected to be able to purchase shaved ice after playing underneath the-almost-summer-sunshine. It was hot that day. Once they got to the front of the line they received a big rejection. "We can't serve you." "If you're not with the church, we can't serve you." Mind you, there was no sign, no notice for anyone "outside of the church event" to even know Kona Ice was there for a "private event". We weren't there for free shaved ice. We were there to purchase shaved ice and to see what Kona Ice was all about. It was the worst first impression from a business you can get. The lady working the window was very rude. For a private church event, you would expect the church would welcome "anyone". And for a company that was hired on for a "private event" you would expect a sign posted stating it was there for a private event. Neither of those happened. Hopefully, they'll take this feedback so that other families won't come across the rudeness and embarrassment that mine experienced.

If you're in the mood for something a little savoury, they also serve 5 different flavours of Taiyaki. I can't remember which flavours I ordered because I stuffed them in my mouth immediately. Bubble tea is a good value but nothing special. Still think it's a good spot to go if you're looking for desserts.

From what I saw there was a younger lady taking everyone's orders, a man making all the drinks, and an older woman in the back making the bing su. It was packed when I went. The line was out the door but well worth the wait. I'm surprised this place doesn't have more Yelp reviews based on the amount of people that come here. Although there was a long line of people ahead of us, it moved quickly cause the staff was efficient. You could see how hard they were working as beads of sweat started forming on their forehead. The Korean hospitality is just on a whole other level. My group ordered a mango cheesecake bing su, takaiyaki (red bean, apple pie, and cheese custard), plain yogurt smoothie with boba, and another tea which I forgot. Everything was delicious! The bing su was very light and subtly creamy. The takaiyaki was soft and crispy. It's made of croissant so that was tasty. My favorite was the apple pie. The drinks were also very refreshing. I was not disappointed with this place at all.
