Usually when I stop by it's always a great experience. I went there today 2/28/26 at 240pm there was a line, I don't know how many workers were there for sure. However, when I got to the window I wasn't greeted with a hello it was what can I get you. The barista walked away when she got part of my order and went to the car in the other window who was a male and she started talking to him. When she came back to my window I gave her the rest of my order again she walked over to the guy in the car talked to him came back and handed me my things. Here is the issue. My order was 2 of their specials, a PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE, a plain bagel with cream cheese and 1 hot chocolate. I told my daughter after I gave my order I felt she wasn't paying attention, she was not friendly or personable it was very dry. I got home, I live 45 minutes away I stop by here when I go see my mom. I noticed I had a chocolate chip cookie, I called just to let them know to be mindful of what they give because of people's allergies. I am allergic to chocolate been all my life. I NEVER order chocolate, almonds or oranges due to my allergies. She told me I changed my order and said chocolate chip cookie, we went back and forth because there is no way I would agree to a chocolate chip cookie I don't eat them at all! I told her this, and said the reason I called wasn't to be rude but to tell her to be more mindful. She literally got rude and said yea I'll be more mindful. That made me want to take the cookie back and smack it on her lips. I wasn't trying be rude at all. The issue is if she would have been paying attention to the car she was working on she wouldn't have made the mistake. People have severe allergies, that could potentially cause life threatening issues. The 4 star rating I had for them went down to zero. If I go there and it's her, I'm driving off. I don't spend my money with disrespectful people, or people that lie as she did. The drinks were very mediocre as well. They want us to support small businesses but how do we when they don't have morals, respect or integrity. read more

I do not go to this stand as often as other stands such a Gravity or BFJ. I cannot apologize for how a barista made me feel by serving other cars she knew before me. I will definitely not be going back to this stand if it was the last stand in business the owner is rude! I leave plenty of 5 star ratings. If service is not up to par why should I be dishonest... I should not. I drove away feeling very sad after my treatment, free coffee would not make it better. The last coffee establishment owned up to their mistake of giving the wrong drink and food. Not my fault. I let my review stand as is, that was my experience and I just learned that I am better off making my coffee at home or going elsewhere where I have good and kind service! Today was a challenging day, I visted 1/06/2021 at around 12:30pm. Came on in and around to the side by the road. Car in front of me. After they left I drove up, asked what I wanted. I indicated, the car on other side changed out to a woman who kept looking my way. I then noticed this woman was handed the clipboard to pay and got her drink before me but arrived at the window after me.. The barista want to say her name was Kea (receipt said this) knew her and perhaps... she drove off and barista came back to verify my drink... man drives up on other window.. barista is solo she has his drink already and addresses him by his name stating she saw him. She hands me my drink and then she gives him his drink. I felt very unimportant today visiting this stand. A guest is a guest regardless of my frequency. Yes I get a regular is wonderful but do not diminish my visit and treat me less. My drink did not even taste that great and my experience was horrible! I drove away wishing I had not come, I felt even worse than I already was. I am unemployed and this was a splurge that I now regret having wasted coming to this stand to be treated less than welcome because I am not a daily regular. read more

The BEST coffee shop! My husband and I have been going here since it opened. Love the ladies there; they know us and our drinks. Sometimes they see us and have them ready before we are even at the window. THAT is excellent customer service. They are the BEST. There is always a line (which is also a sign of an excellent coffee shop) and they are very quick and accurate. You do not have to wait a long time. If I could give 10 stars I would. This is the best coffee stand in the area. Consistently exceed my expectations and I was a sbux barista for 10 years. The morning crew is fabulous and learn your name. I love the point system. My favorite is the vanilla chai latte or the pumpkin vanilla chai latte- they use a mix which is phenomenal! My other go to is an americano and they always offer to add ice to cool it a bit. Great service, I can't say enough good things! This is a response to you calling a 5 year elite yelper a scammer, because of a negative review she left regarding a situation I've also experienced at your stand. But instead of taking this constructive criticism, you called that reviewer a scammer. If you look at her profile, you will see 305 reviews, three hundred and fucking five my guy. If you look, you will see there are a LOT of 5 star reviews. NEVER asking for free products, discounts etc. but calling out bad behavior that ultimately left the customer feeling less than important, than regular customers. No one asked for free drinks, you willingly gave those away to correct a issue within your staff. What I recommend is to talk to your employees and try to correct the issue and apologize on your staffs behalf. If giving a free drink is offered on your behalf, DO NOT get mad at the customer because you can't manage your staff. Just because I've had a bad experience and you give me a free coffee, that doesn't fix the issue and I can STILL have a bad experience with your stand. This level of thinking is just barbaric. I want you to know that this amazing UNEMPLOYED women came to your stand, for a product and didn't receive the level of customer service experience she deserved, because your barista decided that was better deserved to regulars and continuously choose them over her. This women also so happens to be my mother. You literally hurt her so much by your comment, that she deleted her yelp. I really hope you can reflect on this situation and work problems out within PM & have a civil discussion instead of publicly try to slander a customer because the experience they had at YOUR stand, wasn't up to par. The best coffee in the area by far! So rich in flavor, I tried the decaf latte and it's still so full bodied! The baristas are sweet and welcoming, Wednesday's they have fresh made Belgian waffles and I got one one the house to try, I don't even like waffles but these were AMAZING! LOVE this little drive-thru coffee hut. Their name has changed several times in the last couple of years: Maristas, Aroma Espresso, maybe some other name, and now The Coffee Bear. After over a year of giving this establishment the benefit of the doubt I am DONE!!!! My first experience in this shop Dallas dropped my drink (Iced Raspberry Redbull) through my car widow all over me. I was beyond blown away, took her rude apology, a roll of paper towels and left. Given my employer frequents this establishment for our office coffees I decided I would give Dallas & The Coffee Bear the benefit of the doubt on her integrity and although she is condescending and rude I've told myself it is a matter of convenience to frequent... After this morning I will not being going back. Monday 10/3 the hot drink I ordered was cold, when I called to express my concern Dallas knew immediately it was my drink, giggled and stated she would put a few free drinks on my account to make up for it. This morning 10/6 when I arrive she named my drink at the window, smirked and proceeded to heat the almond milk up to the point it smells burnt, after allowing it to cool and sipping it the burn taste is beyond drinkable! Not to mention when the cashier rang my drink and muffin top she stated my total was over $6 I evened out my total on the receipt giving one last benefit of the doubt and then was told when I handed my slip back that I am half way to my 3rd free drink.... I asked why she didn't use my free drink "coupon" and she stated I could use it next time and laughed! Beyond disgusted with my drink, the service and the fact time and time again I assumed Dallas not only had integrity but some sort of ethical conscious. I will be researching local establishments that may be a little further but hopes not even my employer will support this business after today! read more

Time to rate this place ! Let's go with the things I liked The menu had a big variety ! So that's pretty awesome ! Lots of choices ! And it's pretty cheap in my opinion ! So one star for that ! My Italian soda was okay ! I've never had it super carbonated like that before though . So maybe too much on club soda . Okay my next concern is pretty things that I noticed . I did the worker drop something in the garbage like a coffee filter thing for the fast coffee drip . Idk what it is but any who, she did dig in there to grab it but she went to the sink I think . So I'm sure she washed her hands or who knows . But don't they have multiple of those . If I was her I would've waited till here were no more customers before I dig in the garbage lol .... Next thing that bothered me . She touched my star multiple times ! I know places don't always have straws that are wrapped but if you are going to touch my straw , touch it once not multiple times . Basically she put the straw in my drink but then she went to get the whipped cream and then again touch my straw and held it to the side to spray in the whipped cream . Next time , maybe put in the whipped cream then straw !!! Probably would be better that way . The girl was helpful when I had questions but then she would walk away to the other side when I was talking . I know you have other cars but it would be nice to get a "can you give me a sec " instead of just walking off . Probably won't be back . But I like their location ! Nice little coffee stand that's close to the freeway. I like to swing by here if I'm headed south since it saves me a trip of going further into Federal Way to get Starbucks. I've always received fast and friendly service, and it's nice they have the option of two lines when it's crowded. Although it can be a little tricky leaving if you aren't paying attention to the sign telling which direction to exit..but it's really not rocket science lol. Their coffee is pretty consistent and lately their Redbull Italian soda has been at the top of my list. I guess with the colder weather approaching I will switch back to coffee but during the warmer days the Italian soda is where it's at. They carry some snacks as well, like bagels and muffin tops and they have some tasty sounding daily drink specials. read more

I just moved into the area and was trying to find a new coffee stand I could frequent. I was so happy to find the coffee bear. They make white coffee SO good. It is a little pricey but at least it tastes good. One of the baristas on the weekdays mornings is always so nice and remembers my name every time! I do wish they would add an extra shot with each size up though. For example, 16 oz- 2 shots, 20 oz- 3 shots, 24 oz- 3 or 4 shots. They do keep your name on file to keep track of your points, which is nice because you don't have to keep track of a card. Swung by here this morning and service was fast, friendly and sweet! This is a nice little hidden gem tucked behind a Chevron gas station! If you blink you would most likely not even see this place and drive right by. I found out they have a different daily special everyday and for 16oz at $2.75, that ain't bad! Today's special was Banana Bread with Mocha and Hazelnut! That probably sounds like some crazy combination of way too many things, but it actually worked! The young lady who was working there this morning stated that was today's special and I thought well that's awesome, I didn't have to bother looking through the whole menu. I don't drink coffee all that often(more of a tea girl, myself) but when I do; I consider it a treat and want it to be good! And this did not disappoint, it was piping hot and delicious! It was so flavorful; I couldn't help but take a few sips every few seconds! I can't say I do that too often when I drink coffee so I know this was some good stuff this morning! She even put some whipped cream on top! It was absolutely decadent and smooth. I had barely pressed my lips against the slit of the lid and I could smell the aroma of banana bread wafting through inviting me to taste the deliciousness that awaited me!
