I liked my coffee, and another friend liked theirs too, but one friend got a strawberry coffee drink and really didn't like it. The food was good, but pretty standard café food. The croffle with whipped cream and strawberries was tasty, and the Nutella-filled fish pastry was good too, but nothing I'd be craving later. I came here after looking for a coffee spot in Feddy, and decided to swing by due to the reviews. I had ordered a Dalgona Candy Latte and Ube Matcha to go. But the espresso shots weren't the best and tasted burnt. But maybe it was just not meant to be for me and was too far to turn around. The staff was okay, it did take a min to get acknowledged and there was only one other customer at the time. They do have treats like pastires, Bungeoppang and croffles. Cafe Seoul popped up as something I may like on yelp. Looking at the menu, I thought it is a place me and my family would enjoy. The menu looked to have a few things we all like. A tip for the owner - I ordered an iced latte 12 ounce light on the ice. And she gave me significantly less milk because of the light ice. I don't think you're losing so much money if you fill up the cup a little more with milk when a customer asks for light ice, but your customer will not return if you are going to be this stingy stingy. For this visit my friends and I got some bungeo bbang and drinks as a celebration for my birthday. The bbang take around 15-20 minutes to make as stated on their menu, and our server was really kind in letting us know that and also giving some of his recommendations for drinks too. For drinks, I got the matcha frappe, which was was very slushy and icy yet had all of the matcha flavor without being watered down. The bbang came in four flavors: cheese, red bean, Nutella and cream. All tasted great, though my favorite was the red bean. I came here with my friend for coffee and to my surprised, this place is located right by Palace spa. There are plenty of parking around the plaza. Upon entering the cafe, it was very cozy with ample amount of seatings to sit or to study. I really love cafes where you can just sit and chill for hours with friends. For snacks, we both got the blueberry cheesecake croffle and the 12 piece bungeo bbang (mini taiyaki fish) which includes flavors such as red bean, Nutella, custard, and mozzarella cheese. Here are my thoughts on each items: Jeju matcha latte: Really love this drink! The matcha was strong, tasted like expensive matcha. It wasn't overly sweet, which I like. I will definitely order this again. Black sesame latte: I tried my friend's drink and it was delicious! You can really taste the sesame when mixed with strong coffee. It was a perfect drink for fall weather. Blueberry cream cheese croffle: This was one of our favorite desserts to try! The croffle is topped with a blueberry cream cheese whip and blueberries with a syrup drizzle. I wished we got two orders because it was too good to share lol. I will order this again when I come back! Bungeo bbang (mini taiyaki): This one took about 20 minutes to make, which we didn't mind at all. The fishes were all filled with different fillings, which was fun to eat. Overall, this was a nice warm snack to share with someone but I would skip this over the croffle. If you have little ones, they will for sure enjoy this treat! Overall, this was one of the best Korean cafes I've been to around Federal Way. The blueberry cream cheese croffle was excellent where it's warm and crispy, and the perfect proportions of cream and fresh blueberries. Loved the matcha latte with vanilla, and the lychee oolong tea, so refreshing. The dalgona candy latte was okay. We also ordered the fruit croffle and taiyaki, which was 12 pieces with three flavors, strawberry, Nutella and cream. The taiyaki came out nice and warm, perfect amount of sweetness. I really wanted to love the croffle, it had great presentation but it was way too hard, almost as if they left it on the waffle press for too long. We had a hard time cutting it with a knife. Asides from the rock hard croffle, everything was great. My daughter is still talking about the matcha latte and wanting to go back for it again. read more

I got to try Cafe Seoul a few months ago when they were still very new. They're a quaint little Korean cafe in the same building complex as Underground Kitchen/Shin Sung Restaurant. I ordered the Peach Iced Tea while my partner ordered the Grapefruit Sparkling Ade. The Peach Iced Tea was pretty good, each sip was smooth and refreshing. Taste was good as is too. My partner liked her Sparkling Ade. It's a cute cafe that only opened up earlier this year. I plan to eat out more in Federal Way, so I will likely be coming back to Cafe Seoul to try out their other items as well. read more

Service was fine, atmosphere was also fine, but it was hard to find outlets, and the music was very loud, which I'm fine with, but it was a bit hard to study. Another thing is not necessarily complaining, but I will say that I didn't like one of my drinks, so I let one of the baristas know, and I asked her politely if I could get a remake. Obviously, I was totally fine paying for it. But I do think it's a bit ridiculous since I didn't even drink my drink at all, like not even half, my cup was literally full, and she could clearly see that. As a barista myself, I feel it would be more formal to offer me either a refund, or make me a new one for free. (again, I was polite and I'm also fine with paying because I just wanted my coffee). But she proceed to give me a smaller drink, and then said I was getting a "discount"even though she gave me a smaller size. I just said it's fine because I didn't want to be rude. Because of that alone I spent around $14 for two drinks, even though I didn't drink two drinks. I also didn't like how I couldn't really see what was on their menu, the menu was very short, which would be fine if that was their actual menu, but it's not. they actually have a lot of pretty and fun drinks online that you can look at. It was my first time there, so I was just confused on what to order and I asked them when it seems like they weren't that knowledgeable on their drinks. But in all, food tasted good. Coffee is also good, I just personally did not enjoy my drink. I can appreciate it, while also saying my honest opinion. No hate to the small business though! I ordered the Oreo Frappuccino, and wow, it was so tasty and satisfying. It's the perfect balance of sweetness, and those Oreo chunks really add another layer to the drink. The place itself is super nice, with simple yet cute decorations. The staff were friendly and made the drinks really fast. It's a great spot to get some work done or just chill with friends.
