I don't write Yelp reviews often, but this place absolutely deserves one…read more From the moment I walked in, I could tell this wasn't just another coffee shop. The space strikes that perfect balance between cozy and modern--warm lighting, comfortable seating, and just enough background music to create ambiance without making it hard to have a conversation. It feels like somewhere you can settle in with a book, meet a friend, or get a few hours of work done without feeling rushed. What truly elevated my experience, though, was the service--especially Taylor. It's rare to come across someone who is both genuinely warm and highly attentive without being intrusive. Taylor greeted me with a friendly, welcoming energy and took the time to walk me through the menu when I mentioned I wanted something comforting but slightly different from my usual order. Their recommendation and enthusiasm felt authentic, not scripted, which made a big difference. I ended up ordering the raspberry chai, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The chai itself was beautifully spiced--rich notes of cinnamon, clove, cardamom, and a subtle kick of ginger. The raspberry added a bright, slightly tart sweetness that complemented the warmth of the spices instead of overpowering them. The flavor balance was impressive; it wasn't overly sweet, and you could tell the ingredients were thoughtfully combined. It had a smooth, creamy texture and was served at the perfect temperature. Honestly, it was one of the most unique and well-crafted drinks I've had in a long time. Beyond my own experience, I noticed how attentive the staff was with other customers--checking in, remembering regulars, and maintaining a clean, welcoming space. The atmosphere feels community-oriented and intentional. You can tell this shop cares about quality, both in what they serve and how they treat people. Between the exceptional service from Taylor and a raspberry chai I'm still thinking about, this coffee shop has officially earned a spot in my regular rotation. If you're looking for a place with standout drinks and genuinely kind staff, this is it. Highly recommend.

The bowls are pretty dense, and they do not skip on the toppings. It was quite a refreshing meal. I was happy with the quality and quantity of food for what I paid. Not that I don't enjoy healthy food, I just want as much food as possible and in as much quantity as possible. But, sometimes when you're traveling with other people, you have to give in to other options. That being said, I'm glad I was able to find something enjoyable. Which would have been difficult because there were so many choices to be made. I could come back three times a day for fifteen years and try sketching new each time. I could also be lying. But seriously. Choice variety 10/10. My choice bowl was a kale/banana/pineapple/coconut milk base (green bowl), with sliced bananas, blueberries, granola, and hemp seeds. I like fruity/citrusy/juicy fruits, so this sounded the best. I had zero expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. The decision to mix it all together was probably a good one and I ended up eating it all like a weird green bowl banana blueberry cereal. It was a little less fruity than I expected, but still had solid flavor. Taste level 7/10. Because I'm a gluttonous hound, I also thought it would be fun to get a smoothie to add to my already expanding gut. I chose the kowabunga with included banana, blueberry, pineapple, and coconut milk. I expected it to sweeter than it actually was. Though I expect all my foods to be sweet. Flavor profile 6/10. The atmosphere was pretty much par for the course for an establishment like this. Nice open area, waiting chairs, dine in. Several people waiting for to-go orders. The service wasn't terrible. Two workers running the show. That could very well have been the reason there was such a wait on our food. Though I can't imagine putting all the things we ordered together was a speedy situation. Service speed 6/10. Service accuracy 10/10. The three stars ultimately came from the flavors of the items I got not meeting my flavors criteria. And as a certified Chunky Monkey, I need my flavors.

Retro wallpaper and vibe give this place unique and quirky charm while the two glass garage doors open up to provide for an decently sized (and relaxingly breezy) space. Employees were super friendly and chatty (in a good way), they shared some insights and tips about exploring the town while I waited for my coffee. Super helpful and welcoming while also being down to Earth. Drinks: We mostly came here for coffee and to chill for a bit. They offered coffee flights here so my wife was sold to stop and try them. We like flights because you get to sample more of the menu without committing to just one thing. After the flights, I did also try a separate flavored latte off of the menu has well. The lattes were not too sweet and the flavor profiles fit the espresso base without overpowering the coffee flavors. My favorite out of all of them were the Huckleberry Latte and the Black Sesame Foam Latte (The Goth I think is what they called it). Fun little shop to stop and grab a drink and bite to eat. Bonus - they are only 1/2 mile away from Lake Michigan and a local park. Park and grab a drink to go and explore the beach!
