The Coffee Loft was a great highlight to my recent weekend trip to Fairhope. The staff was exceptionally nice, the atmosphere was comfy (big ole sofas), and the coffee was fantastic! So much so that we went two mornings in a row instead of trying a different place out. They had a great selection of noshes too, but since we had breakfast plans elsewhere, we only had the coffee. Ok, my first impression of the Loft, was hearing Brittany Spears singing "Oops". Not good, but I can forgive them. The staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining their coffee and the options. A 20oz real coffee frappe was $6+ after tax. They normally use a powder and not espresso, which I am not a fan of, but you can ask for an espresso based frappe. In my opinion, in a coffee shop, a frappe should be a coffee drink, just like a latte that highlights the coffee. The espresso flavor was very good, but a bit too subdued in the frappe. I did not like chocolate flavoring was what I describe as "kiddie" chocolate. It didn't taste real and took away from the drink. The bathroom was clean but cramped and a bit rickety. There were several little bathroom sayings scribbled around the room. It looks like they've tried to keep up with it by cleaning and painting over, but it's a loosing battle. If I was to come back, and order another frappe, I would ask for quadruple shot, and bring my own mocha sauce, but I could not afford that, and it would not be worth the hassle. read more

Excellent place! First time here and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Parking in front is limited but they have parking in the back. Menu is great and muffins looked tasty. Salmon bagel is fantastic! Definitely a must if your visiting! Perfect place to go and relax! read more

This place is very cute! We came here after a Mardi Gras parade and felt comfortable enough to spread out on the sofa and count up our moonpies. The staff were very friendly, made some great recommendations, although a bit spacey. The prices are a bit steep for any of the specialty items and mine didn't taste particularly amazing as I was hoping. But with enough trial and errors, I'm sure they do make some amazing blends and next time I might even try the brewed creme brulee coffee which sounded delish and I don't know why I didn't get it. The place is decorated kinda off-beat and has cute sayings up that we ended up taking pictures with - as we were on vacation and this is a great place when stopping by. Back in the day, I would have given Coffee Loft 5 stars. Sam was the bomb and made sure you had a relaxed and awesome time. They put Ice Rageouses on the map. I have so many memories here. Their Ice Rageouses are amazing, and their quiches are also really delicious. We always used to come here to support our local businesses and to get a wonderful cup of coffee for much cheaper than any chain. The last time I came in here, I paid $6 for a regular sized Ice Rageous. They have significantly upped their prices and have done away with selling a ton of local art pieces. Now they feature one or two artists rather than providing rotating expos. They even got ride of the old red lumpy couch! I will still go to Coffee Loft because I don't want them to go out of business. I'm afraid that these outrageous prices are because of bad business. Who knows. I love the ambience and atmosphere of hipster chic, but I think they are trying to lose that vibe now. read more

I can't count the amount of times I was in the mood for something warm and amazing and coming here to satisfy my needs. I adore the atmosphere as well as the coffee here with all of my heart. Every time I come here I know I'm going to be leaving happy. The music is always great, and the daily coffee is always a great option but make sure to check out the things on the menu too because they're just as good. My absolute favorite coffee shop in all of Mobile and Baldwin counties and the surrounding areas. Maybe it's nostalgia because I grew up going here, (first with my mom as an after school treat in middle school and then after turning sixteen and getting my license it quickly became my second home) but I'm confident there's more to it than just the inviting atmosphere and always friendly baristas that keep myself and the many other loyal patrons of The Coffee Loft coming back again and again throughout the years. The egg, ham, cheese, and onion quiche was amazing. The white Mocha was one of the best I have ever had. I loved the quiet atmosphere and the coffee shop feel to it. We didn't have to wait long for our food and we enjoy a quiet breakfast there on our way out of Fairhope! Only downside was that seating was very limited and we ended up sitting at a table where our knees were above the table. read more

The Coffee Loft lives up to the name. Immediate relief was the feeling I got walking into this establishment after a stressful morning of waking up late, a test, and nursing check offs. I've been driving past this place every day on the way to class, and I finally got to try it. The inside: the vibe seems very hippie-ish with a loft style touch that you immediately feel right at home with couches on one side of the cafe and working tables in the middle. The staff: One girl was standing at the register, and I told her instantly that this is my first time here. Another girl heard this and eagerly and happily asked what do I usually like to drink. Waking up late means I didn't have my daily dose of caffeine yet, so I told her something strong, not too sweet, and their fav. And she recommended a Chai Iced Coffee. Low and behold, it was delish! I also got a Bagel and Lox sandwich, too, and I really enjoyed that as well. Thank you for the excellent service. Y'all made my morning better. read more

This is a cool coffee shop! Love the staff, unique drinks, and non-dairy milk options. I haven't stayed and hung out yet, but I hope to soon! Everything I've had from there is made well, and the staff make sure you are happy. Coffee Loft has a rewards program, and they will store the card for you! This place WAS a pleasure to go to but now they treat you like you are a disease. They line you up and you have to wait until you're called upon like some kind of dog and you're not allowed to touch anything as if you are a diseased animal. The coffee loft is definitely a gem and has become a staple for my visits home. It has firmly established itself as an institution in town and I love that it has kept its kitschy and funky atmosphere in the yuppie sea that is Fairhope. My only gripe is that the wi-fi is often down and that the drinks are crazy expensive. I don't mind paying more to support local business, but my last purchase (a single large latte) came to $8 after tip. read more

We are all regulars at the coffee loft, my coworkers all come before our shifts. We made a Togo order for our staff drinks and went to pick them and had about 9 drinks. And on the way out the flimsy trey fell and poured hot coffee went all over one of our coworkers, and then he dropped the other tray of drinks. So we went back to try to explain what happened and had to repay for the drinks that they shoved into the trays that the cups were to big for hence why the first coffee fell over. THEN on the remake of our drinks they made 2 of the same drinks and 2 things weren't made correctly and one was missing all together. read more

Decent latte! They seem to have some interesting flavors and specialty drinks, but I just needed a simple pick me up. The atmosphere is very laid back, a little retro, and no-frills. This is my go to place when im in Fairhope it is appropriately located on the outskirts of the downtown area. It is a pleasant change from the more upscale feel of downtown but keeps the artsy part of Fairhope intact all while making a high quality coffee without the pretentiousness of Starbucks. The first time I went in I asked for a recommendation and have stuck with my order to this day. They have grown accustomed to me. Great coffee house hidden off the main route. Great latte, many favors both regular and sugar free. Had our breakfast items to go: very good quiche, cinnamon rolls and bagel (though ours was toasted a little too much). Fun place to sit on a couch or outside table.
