So fun and donuts are HUGE! Walkable in the downtown area. They have a sitting area and offer coffee and donuts and open into the afternoon! Was educated they are in an old house if the area and a good spot for breakfast or after an evening stroll. Service was nice but they seemed not to be super happy to be working in the 4th of July. A very nice place to get doughnuts and more. This was our first visit. We were welcomed by several people behind the counter. So many choices here and all look terrific. I had the chocolate, chocolate, it was very tasty. You could also view this as a dessert place after dinner. When we visited around 11am they were not to busy but, many people came and went while we were there. The living room seating area makes this a cozy setting to eat a doughnut. The outside is equally appealing amd a great place to people watch. We will definitely return. read more

Today's donut was out of this world! It was a cheesecake base with chocolate curls and an edible orchard. Only available this weekend so hurry. The service is always top notch and the music is Frank Sinatra era and you can sit and get lost or enjoy your conversation. read more

First of all, public service announcement. These are not your normal doughnuts. Not in any way, shape (no holes) or fashion. They ARE amazing with some really cool flavors. We ordered several different things as a group. These are cronuts, which use really good croissant dough to make doughnuts. So think layers of flaky dough with lots of different topping combinations, most of which you have never thought of. We have visited the Gulf Shores location and tried several different toppings - these doughnuts are kinda like Crumble cookies. They use the same dough for all the donuts and the toppings are what changes. The traditional glazed is a really good doughnut. We also ordered avocado toast.... This does not look like the photo for sure. There is no freshly sliced avocado, nothing besides an avocado spread that was used pretty sparingly and sliced boiled eggs. We will not order this again. I had their tacos, with chorizo and cheese (all of them come with egg) and the chorizo was really good, as was the salsa - my order was wrong at first and I got no salsa with my order. I only discovered the salsa when by brothers got it with his order. I went back up to let them know and they promptly fixed my order and got me some of the great salsa verde. My brother also got tacos and he order a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, which is served on an unglazed cronut (so a croissant that is round.). It was very good. This really showed how good their base product is. I encourage you to go by and give it a try. Know what to expect, don't wish for something they don't do. As has already been noted, this is a franchise so they do what they do. AND they do it well. read more

Parlor Doughnuts is an absolute gem! Our family stopped in, and we were so impressed -- especially because they offer gluten-free options that are perfect for our family member with celiac disease. His doughnut was handled with care and made specifically for him, which gave us such peace of mind. They have tons of options -- from maple bacon, campfire, and cinnamon sugar to strawberry shortcake, churro, and cookies & cream -- and every single one we tried was delicious! Definitely not a traditional sweet donut. Each "donut" is large and airy with a variety of sweet and savory toppings. If you don't see it on display, you will get one made to order. The ambiance is good and relaxing. read more

Donuts are really good to me since I am a pastry kind of person. Plenty of flavors to choose from. Service is good since if it is not the the display they will make it up for you. Relatively quick. Location has indoor and outdoor seating so it is nice either way. Very nice outdoors. read more

Things I loved: the donut dough was very nice, it's more dense than your typical donut but still light to make it unique. They're made fresh daily which is also a plus! We tried their chocolate, churro, maple pecan, and mini coconut donuts. Most all of us agreed the maple pecan was the best with churro coming in second. I love that they tied in fairhope decor with their merchandise. It's a very unique space and I think it fits fairhope perfectly. Their bathrooms are also very stylish but no public restrooms and it's only two stalls total Things that were lacking: customer service could use a bit of help, maybe welcoming guests in, offer samples, etc. We also didn't care for the coconut donut. The filling in that one wasn't very flavorful in my opinion. They had a bunch of menu items and options though. read more

I hope the Fairhope shop makes it. It's NOT what I expected. FOOD: Donuts are more like caloric bomb mini gourmet cakes. Plan to gain 10# just walking in the door. STAFF/ATMOSPHERE: It's a former B&B and great location, their remodel from latest Tennant's brew pub is nicely done and staff were pleasant. MISSING: To start with, they have no local feel, it has that franchise feel despite some local graphics. No beignets, if they got really good at the NOLA style and made use of pick-up to go in the driveway they would make it on those alone. Add honest to God New Mexico Sophapilla rolls with honey and bamm! Another unique draw. I'd personally like the benefit of a couple of generic cake or glaze donuts without all the extra sugar and give customers a lower calorie opt in on so your diabetic comma wasn't guaranteed on your first visit. Earthy granola or a bagel option with a side of local Bill E's bacon and a egg muffin. Now we're talking going from chain to locals hot spot and just stop for the many tourists that flock to Fairhope!! Then again, what do I know?
