It is a small place so get there early as it gets BUSY. Typical small breakfast atmosphere. Sit at the counter for a great experience with the regular customers. Service was outstanding. There was one server named Donna that was handling it all with no issues. The food was great. I got the Western Omelet with bacon and hash browns. It was huge and delicious. The bacon was super crispy. The omelet had large chunks of ham and lots of cheese. Get the "homemade wheat" toast. It was thick and tasted incredible. Best of all is the price. We have been going to this place for many years with my father. We really enjoyed their home made whole wheat bread, the lower prices and friendly staff who knew what we wanted to order every time we came. As I've always said, it's the little things that matters. This time my family and myself were disappointed, after going to this restaurant for at least 30 years. The bread was not very good (stor bought) , and for the first time I was served a dill pickle, not the sweet bread and butter pickles that I always enjoyed. Service was mediocre, she was friendly but nothing special. Waited too long for the bill, which had doubled from previous visits. This is a cute little coffee shop in Littleton New Hampshire. It was not seats 28 so it's a little cramped and crowded but the service and food are excellent. I had the Chicken Salad sandwich, which is always risky at restaurants. It's usually too dry or too mayonnaise filled. This was perfect, served on thick homemade bread and with cranberries and nuts. My wife and I have been coming to the coffee pot many times prior to it being sold and since then our last two visits have not been pleasant. New owners. Used to go here often. Had breakfast a few days ago. They give us medium sized eggs, Tiny toast, a small amount of homefries and 3 of those "Brown & Serve" sausage links. Half the size or far less than at a real $10 breakfast elsewhere. The coffee was true MUD. Even w/50% added hot water, the coffee was worse than terrible. Since the new owners have taken over The Coffee Pot it has become a "polished gem" amongst the entire Northeast Kingdom. I will drive here from VT just to eat or pick up food because the quality is that much better than other restaurants in the area. Portions are large, prices are fair, environment is friendly. We have been going to this restaurant for over 30 years and always considered it five Star. Recently, it changed ownership. It is now overpriced smaller portions and the service has gone down. We got rock hard potatoes for home fries that were over seasoned with too much pepper. It was ridiculous. We got a bowl of chicken soup that was over seasoned with pepper as well. We got two poached eggs that were overcooked and dried out. We ordered toast dry, and even after the waitress came to ask us what kind of toast we wanted, we reemphasize to make sure the toast was dry, but the dry toaster was saturated in Butter like substance. Our steak and eggs ended up being steak tips that were heavily seasoned, certainly over seasoned for being served with eggs. They charged us two dollars extra for cinnamon raisin toast that we understood came with our meal. There was no homemade toast by any means. It was probably a subpar generic like toast, non-brand-name toast. There was only one waitress who was working alone and hard , running around while the owner seemed to be playing with the cash register the whole time. He appeared to be clueless as to what to do other than making a drink and eating food. He constantly kept going out back and coming back into the seating area with food in his mouth. The restaurant is small - about 7 tables and 10 counter seats - and there were 2 parties ahead of us but we only waited about 15 minutes for a spot to open at the counter. There were several specials and hubby got the A la Jim with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and garlic. I had the hash with over easy eggs. Both dishes were delicious and filling. We stopped in early on a Friday and got a table right away. It's a cute and small little cafe/diner with a long wrap around counter and about 6 or so tables. As a covid precaution they had plastic shower curtains between tables, which is not the aesthetic we want but the aesthetic we need. The menu is so simple: eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, coffee (hot or cold). Nothing fancy, everything delicious. I got a bowl of the oatmeal because I really wasn't starving and got strawberries, blueberries, cinnamon and honey added to it. It turned out to be really delicious! All of the extras, coupled with a hot cup of coffee, made it a perfect breakfast. My boyfriend got the omelette, which our waitress said is her favorite and let us know that the bread is all homemade. I of course had to steal a bite and it was so tasty. Every time my cousin and I pass from Maine to Vermont we stop in Littleton New Hampshire for brunch. The Coffee Pot is our favorite diner. It may be tiny but it's worth finding and it's worth waiting. This particular Sunday morning there was a line of course. We were next in a number of people came up behind us. Once a table became available we invited the next couple to join us... To make new friends and to get more people seated more quickly. Come to find out, our table guests were the owners! We had a great time. I had the eggs Benedict which was one of the best I've ever had. Butter grilled English muffin, perfectly cooked eggs, and a bad knee sauce that was rich and homemade with just a tiny tiny hint of heat. The ham was so thinly sliced that it tore apart like a flamed pastry. My cousin had an omelette which also was cooked wonderfully with delicious flavors. The Coffee Pot has new mugs that are very stylish matte black exterior and red inside - and took months of planning and executing to acquire supporting another business during Covid. When I visited the restroom in the basement I was a little cautious. After all, it is in the basement. But everything was absolutely organized and spotless. It was busy, we had to wait for a table, and as the food was being served to the customers, we realized it will be a challenge deciding on what to order. My husband had to get our tire fixed before leaving for our road trip back to NC so I was there by myself with our two boys. Jean was our server and was an angel! Best fresh blueberry pancakes I've had in many years!!!! This little diner has been around for 39 or so years, and yet in all the times I have been in Littleton, we have never gone here. Partly because it is a very small place (flush against the move theater) and so we never saw the name.... boy, have I been missing some really good food!!! With just 5 tables and then a counter with stool, this is a small place and you get cozy at the counter with your neighbor. I had 2 blueberry pancakes, 1 scrambled egg and a side of sausage. The blueberry pancakes were fresh, light and not too sweet, allowing the blueberries to shine through with flavor. Of course you have to get real maple syrup as well to make it perfect! The egg was scrambled perfectly and was light and fluffy and not overcooked. The sausage had a really nice flavor - not too strong and tasted like a local sausage. Not greasy and gamy. My BF had 3 blueberry pancakes and barely lifted his head while he was eating them. He said they were fantastic and the best he has had in 25 years. As someone who gets them as often as he can, that is a huge compliment!
