Wow! We stopped for breakfast this morning not expecting much and were blown away. We had the Breakfast Reuben and the Corned Beef breakfast special. We also ordered seasonal lattes that included homemade blueberry and strawberry syrups. Everything was so delicious. I loved that the coffee was just sweet enough and that the coffee itself had a mellow flavor vs being really bitter. $71 for our breakfast (pancakes for 4 people, one coffee drink two milks and some bacon on the side). It took an hour to get our food. When we got it, the pancakes tasted like oil. A lifetime first: I demanded a refund and walked out of this place today after having waited about 75 minutes for 2 omelets, with the place half empty for at least 30 minutes before we left. The staff were bored, blasé young women who didn't seem to think that kind of wait was unreasonable. Had breakfast today at this place and the food was delicious. There is a huge menu of food for breakfast or lunch choices that also includes different drink options. You pay for your meal as you order it and the staff give you a number to bring to the table you choose to sit at and then they bring your order to you as it is ready. The service are friendly and helpful with anything you may need. Put our order in at the counter and they gave us our number. An hour later and still no food. we stopped by here because we were super hungry and we thought the place looked cute - however after we ate the vegetarian wrap here, we had to immediately eat the half opened Cheetos in our car to salvage our taste buds. the vegetarian wrap had no seasoning at all, and it was literally dripping (from the spinach, we presume). i thought the cranberry chicken walnut sandwich was alright (3/5) but the vegetarian wrap being so bad really is why I am giving this place a 2/5. this place also has free wifi by the way, and plenty of seating indoors and out. My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast, had great bagel sandwiches/omelets, and decided to order some homemade bagels to take home. I asked for a dozen, the guy visibly blanched and said they only had flavors without any toppings other than everything, I get the bagels, and we leave. In the car we inspected the bagels and they were so clearly store bought bagels, they were perfectly shaped with the classic cut edge, and the everything topping was distributed perfectly. Our bagel sandwiches were clearly on homemade bagels, but the dozen we bought were not. He charged me 13$ for store bought bagels I could get anywhere. It felt super scummy to charge me the full price for homemade bagels. It's a bummer because the food was good, but I will not be returning since instead of being honest they chose to prioritize the sale and give me bagels from a grocery store. read more

When I finally got the chance to ask if I could buy a muffin I was told in a rude manner "in one minute." The muffins are in a plastic container and they don't recycle. The large salad came with a generous portion of buffalo chicken that was flavorful but not too spicy. The soup came in a large bowl and had a smooth consistency and good flavor. I also got a chicken sandwich and cinnamon roll to go for later that warmed up nicely in the microwave and had good flavor. This place sucks. It's called Hungry Bear because you are going to leave here a hungry bear. We came here for breakfast because the reviews were good. I don't think I've ever had such a disappointing breakfast. The first tell that we should have gone elsewhere was we thought the place was closed as there were no cars and the inside was dark. The breakfast menu also isn't anything exciting. I ordered 2 eggs scrambled and a grilled everything bagel with nothing on it as they were sold out of almost all of their cream cheese (plain wasn't even available) and an iced coffee. My eggs were, well eggs, and my bagel was toasted not grilled. I only took a few bites of the eggs and ate the bagel. My iced coffee I dumped because it literally tasted like someone emptied an ash tray in it. My fiancé had a bacon and ham omelette and I didn't even want a bite of it. He says it was okay but the bacon was definitely microwaved. Complete waste of time and $25. We left here and instead went a few doors down and waited in line for 20 minutes to get iced coffee and that was well worth it. read more

One of the worst breakfasts I've ever had! Started by walking in and since I had never been there, was waiting to be greeted. So... that didn't happen, so walked up to counter to a young woman who stood there staring at us. We asked if we could be seated, at which time she finally spoke and said we needed to order first and they would bring it to our table. My partner then asked for a traditional eggs and bacon breakfast, and again she started saying something but again we couldn't hear her. He said "Excuse me?". While leaning in to try and hear her. Finally ordered our food and went to sit down. Breakfast arrives shortly after on Dixie paper plates with plastic wear. My "Steak" breakfast burrito consisted of mostly green peppers and eggs. The little bit of steak that was on it looked like burnt crumbled steak-ums. And when I say little bit of steak, I mean little, like maybe the size of a quarter spread out. The other breakfast had burnt toast, and bacon that was so burnt it crumbled as soon as we picked it up. $45 dollars for a breakfast that was inedible! What? I've read these reviews and can not understand where they're coming from. I have a place in Easton and roll up here at least once a week. I have always had a great experience at Hungry Bear.
