Giant iced coffees with kooky flavors a la Pour and Mary Lou's - I strayed from my usual Banana Hazelnut derivative for a very toasted almond-heavy Toffee Brownie Crunch (sugar-free, the flavor/oil is roasted in to the beans) in a large Large for $4.10. Donuts - the real MVPs - ran under $2 each, and the strawberry frosted wasn't neon pink (signifying fake a$$ flavor) but instead a muted purple, and I'd venture to say the non-saccharine, super floral taste of the icing may have screamed actual fruit flavor? Please don't jinx my thoughts and dreams. Fruit is a good thing. We also snagged a few muffins - blueberry crumb (fruit light, but big on cinnamon drizzle and sugary streusel), and a birght, savory lemon blueberry ricotta. Huge, slutty, delicious. Almost $4 a piece. The Shack packs, and I understand why. They keep short capacity (4 customers max) and require masks for their counter service. THE BEST egg sandwiches I have ever had!!! I have ordered the 'omelette as a sandwich' a few times. You can get most any veggies/meats you want. Today I got ham and cheese, with onions and peppers on a plain bagel. Fresh, fluffy eggs, melted cheddar, fresh and bright veggies, all bundled up in a chewy bagel-absolute perfection! This breakfast is so huge, two people could split one and be full. Delicious, piping hot and flavorful coffees. And every flavor of donut you can imagine, and then some. Several years ago I was working in Pembroke and discovered the magic of Coffee Shack. Since then, I go back any time I'm on the south shore. I love the flavored coffees- not flavored with shots, but the actual beans. I have to drink decaf, and they even have flavored decaf beans. I usually get the hazelnut and it's delicious. My wife loves the funny bone, which is coffee with chocolate and peanut butter in it. On top of that, the donuts are fantastic. They're mostly old school flavors, done in the best way. My personal favorites are the honey dipped lemon and the chocolate frosted cake donut. The yeast donuts are nice and fluffy, and the cake donuts aren't too dry. Everything is affordable, staff is nice, and they tend to have some donuts left into the afternoon. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Outperforms most of the Boston donut shops. read more

Terrible Service! Rude Staff! Don't waste your time and money. Was the only one at the counter, waiting for staff to take my order while they chatting amongst each other for 5 mins. Took 20 mins to make breakfast sandwiches egg, cheese, and sausage with no customers before me. Was told by the staff that the "cook was mad at her for ordering that". Keep that between each other ladies and don't take it out on the paying customer. News flash .. your paycheck comes from paying customers. If you can't stand the heat, time to get out of the kitchen and get a new job .. not in customer service! It gets one star because I can't post the review without a star! read more

Love this place! They make the best freshly baked donuts, muffins, and so a great breakfast sandwich! They have tons of flavors for hot and iced coffees, the cinnamon sticky bun is one of my favorites. They typically have a line outside but it moves quickly and is worth the short wait. They are doing a good job during Covid with proper protective gear at the cash registers and with the staff, they are also only allowing 4 people in the door at a time so don't let the outside line scare you away, a must try if you have never been! read more

This was not good coffee if you appreciate good coffee do not go to this place. I ordered a cappuccino it was almost all milk and room temperature then they remade it and it was equally as bad because of the taste and too much milk. It was not worth my time and energy to ask them to make it a third time. Workers can be rude and workers in the kitchen do not wear masks. The experience in store was poor but the food made up for it. Donuts are to die for. Social distancing is heavily enforced and limited capacity of four people inside the store at a time. There are a variety of coffee flavors almost identical to MaryLous with almond milk as a nondairy option. This place to me is the quintessential, local donut/coffee shop. It's got the smell of coffee and fresh donuts as you walk in and your eyes just meet a wall of amazing looking donuts. All of them are delicious, but I'd have to say my go to is the cinnamon donut or the jelly stick. If they ever have it, don't miss out on the frosting filled donut or the peanut butter filled either. The coffee is really good and they have a wide variety of flavors, including peanut butter or Twix iced coffees. Also, for me the mainstay of this place are the breakfast sandwiches. They really do offer a lot of meats and breads to choose from and the way they prepare them just makes for such a gooey, melty and cheesy sandwich; especially the sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. I would eat that every morning if I could. Definitely a place you can't miss if in the Green Harbor area, and want to eat and have coffee with a phenomenal view of the ocean right around the corner. read more

Cons- Wish my belly could fit more Coffee Shack donuts and not gain a pound. Other "fast donut" franchises has destroyed America's perception of what a donut should be. Pros- This place could singlehandedly change Americas perception of what a donut place should be. Each donut, regardless of flavor, type or color could not be more tasteful and full of flavor. We had a weekend getaway with friends, and every start of the day, we could not get to the Coffee Shack fast enough for the donuts and coffee. Their selection is diverse enough for every palette, from the standards like the honey dipped, jelly and double chocolate to the more adventurous peanut butter filled chocolate covered donut, HOLY F#$% awesomeness (Jack Black Kung Fu Panda voice). Be sure to get there early and, yes there will be a line tighly packed into the shop, so be sure to shower, wear deodorant and brush your teeth as the world does not need to smell your stinky breath and butt. Also, leave the L Street Tavern attitude at home, there will be a lot of people ordering all kinds of donuts and coffee (upside of this is you can hear all the cool stuff people order and get ideas). Delicious, perfect hand-made donuts and many flavors of coffee! I hated donuts...actually the mere thought of them made me gag, before trying theirs. I list the Coffee Shack as one of five things about Marshfield I will miss when I move far away this month. :( The elusive chocolate buttercrunch donut lives here and it is not to be missed! The donuts are crisply coated and soft/cakey inside. In other words, perfect! My poor husband was woken up at 5:00 am several times to get me a donut from here during my pregnancy. Lots of kinds to choose from Staff is decently friendly Cons: Wicked small place and no room to move so its always really stuffy and cramped Even though there's a lot to choose from, you must get there early for best choices. I last went on a Thursday morning in July at 10:45 and a few kinds only had 2-5 doughnuts left. The doughnuts here are the heavy, cakey kind so if that's what you like you'll love them at the coffee shack. I like doughnuts softer and not as dense as these so that's my main gripe about them. I am giving this place a solid 4 stars. I love trying out new, local places and this one people always talk about (so, naturally, I needed to see what all of the hype was about). Start off with the negatives... Deducting half a star because the parking lot is a bit of cluster bleep. The American Judge (me) could tell that the donut (German Chocolate) was made the night before. It was tasty but a bit crumbly. Another half star deduction. I won't deduct another half star for this place being CASH ONLY. I get it. They're small and credit card machine costs can add up. Call this a push. Positives The Service! OMG the girl who waited on us was so nice! She helped me make a coconut iced coffee with a pump of mocha with almond milk. She was extremely patient and told my wife and I that if we didn't like our coffee she would make us a new one. And she said it with a genuine SMILE! (Rare these days) The huge selection of coffee and donuts. We got there a little late but from the looks of it, they have a ton of muffins, donuts and coffee flavors to choose from. For the coffee, ya know how some place advertise "french vanilla" or "hazelnut" but often don't specify if it's made with syrup or not? Well this place does - a ton of flavored coffees were made with flavored beans. HUGE plus! They also made various flavors made with syrups and they made sure to note it. **Just a side note, they looked like they made breakfast sandwiches as well but we didn't have one** Overall - get over there and pay the friendly folks at The Coffee Shack a visit. I love this place! Service is quick and friendly, and everyone who works there is genuinely nice- I always leave with a smile on my face. The first time I went, I didn't realize that their hot coffee flavors change daily, and the young lady at the cash register patiently read them to me! This is hands down my favorite local breakfast spot. The omlettes are great, and my new favorite thing is their grilled panini breakfast sandwiches- and both come with a side of fresh fruit which changes daily. Eggs are fresh, and made on a grill (not in a microwave or premade). I don't have a sweet tooth, so I've never tried their donuts, but I hear they are great! read more

Friends have told me The Coffee Shack has the BEST donuts. Yesterday we decided to see if they did and sure enough they have the BEST donuts we've had in years. We munched on the donuts in the car and after we did I went back in and told them their donuts were 100 times better than that big chain that begins with a D. They high five each other and thanked me for saying so. The people who work there are so friendly. I was so happy to happen upon The Coffee Shack while trying to find parking for the Green Harbor HarvestFest in order to see The Dredsox play. I was looking for a bathroom but it didn't have a public bathroom. That sucked. It did have donuts that weren't Dunkin' Donuts. They looked good. I don't use cash. They had a $10 minimum. I got a half dozen donuts to include Boston Cream, Jelly and Lemon and two corn muffins to satisfy the $10 minimum. I tried the Boston Cream when I got home that night. Wow!!! I am so happy to have found a donut shop that actually makes their own donuts. They're so good! I'm sad that I live so far away. Go to The Coffee Shack. Buy The Coffee Shack's donuts. Great place, awesome fresh homemade donuts. This place is a hidden jewel. It has great prices and nice staff. The only issue I have is cash only and the ATM next store charges anyone who is not a member of that bank. It can be rather inconvenient but otherwise no complaints.
