The girl landed some sweet sun wear and a pair of kicks, and I dropped the ball on picking up my OluKais, but it's easy to pop back in being centrally located in Vineyard Haven's downtown stretch. Totally separate entrance around the side and down the shabby stairs. They do nothing to enhance the ambiance down there, but if you take the time to sort through what they have you could find that surprise item that you can't find anywhere else for half the price or even less. But back upstairs, they have everything from vacation wear to formal wear. From every season, to outdoor sports, to accessories. If you like that New England look the MA Islands are so famous for, this is where you can find it. Most often when we come here we shop in both stores. Sometimes we climb back and forth trying to decide if we like the deal downstairs more than the full priced item upstairs. You should try it when in Vineyard Haven. I inquired where on the digital receipt (no hard copy receipts were offered) did it state that. There was no sign in the store with return policies either. The sales person responded with a snarky tone 'that usually all sales items are returnable'. I returned the item and will never shop there again. Maybe they cater to different type of customer and I didn't appear to fit that mold.

This is a seasonal location meaning most of the stores success will come in the summer months with all the tourists. I, being one of the seasonals, visited this newly opened store in July. This small boutique was packed with a wide variety of childrens clothing, accessories and gifts. They carry both American brands and European styles, some of which can be pricey, but are beautiful. I had the displeasure of meeting the owner/manager the day I visited. She was the only visible employee working. She sat behind the counter looking at her computer screen the entire time customers were in the store. Instead of greeting anyone or offering assistance, she jumped and cringed anytime an item was touched and accidentally fell from an overstuffed rack.
