Two other people were there and saw the final job and said it looks great (neither were there at the end...no one saw it but Carrie and myself). I don't think this salon is the right fit for you, this is the first time we have such a complaint." I told her I can send her pictures, she said okay. Waiting to hear back...I wanted to post pictures but not sure how to do it. I did on my FB page for friends as we discussed this and the main comment was, "They should pay you double for what it'll cost to not only fix this but the damage your hair will probably incur in the process." Thanks for not only doing a terrible job but making it sound like I'm the problem. After I sent her the pictures, the owner called me several hours later and said the pictures were "unclear" and that she's not refunding me the money and if I want to take it further I can (?). I told her that's fine, I didn't authorize to be charged without the promise of a redo and had I known I wouldn't get a refund if they couldn't fulfill their promise, I wouldn't have paid. She told me okay, to come by the salon right then so she can "run fingers through the hair" and I said sure! She hung up the phone on me. My husband called her back and nicely said the same thing: that he's sitting right next to me and it does look terrible at the top and that we can come as she recommended. To which she replied, "let me ask you, are you a color expert? no? then your opinion doesn't matter to me. Do not come here, I don't want to see you near here. If you file a dispute I'll take you to small claims court." We were shocked that it got so out of control. To further the insanity, half an hour later we get a call from our local police! The owner showed up there to have them call us to not show up! We asked the police what is going on and explained the situation - that we never threatened them nor said anything to even make it sound like we were going to be there. The police officer just said that we didn't do anything wrong and that he just had to call because they came there but there's nothing to be done. Yes, me at 9 months pregnant and my husband on our way with our toddler to visit my parents' house were going to do something to the salon? This was THE most crazy situation we've ever dealt with...

Even if I found a stylist there I liked and asked for her every time I went, they would never remember how they cut my hair from time to time. I was walking by Fusion one day and decided to give it a try. I have been going there ever since. The haircuts are very good, they remember exactly how they cut my hair from time to time, ask how I like the haircut and if there is anything they can change about it. While decidedly more expensive than the discount hair salons, the results are definitely worth the price.

I've been getting my hair dyed since middle school. I'm very picky about my Latina hair texture, how it looks, how it's styled, and just... everything. I'm extra like that. When this happens, I don't think about the usual adult things like what am I going to do about my job? The dog? The house? I think.... How am I going to find someone like Andrew to do my hair? One time I considered getting a very expensive treatment done (think +$400 keratin treatment), which I'm sure he would've made good money on, and he flat out said "Bella, you don't need that. I'll do it if you really want to, but you don't need it." Absolute pleasure spending my hard earned money at C'zar. The people are amazing (so kind and funny and just human), the atmosphere is so relaxing, plus you can get hand massages and scalp massages when you get shampooed. She listens to your body and follows her intuition. Instead of kneading out the knots, she loosens the acupressure spots and releases tension. I also explored acupuncture with her which was a really cool experience. I always leave the spa feeling like a noodle:) I've been to the other Czar salon/spas and this is by far the most modern. I love that the spa is upstairs and away from the hustle/bustle of the salon. It is still a bit distracting because there are hair chairs/space that share a wall with the spa rooms. I guess that's just what you get for going to a spa inside a salon. I'm considering booking their acupuncture /massage special because Chona is incredible. She's been very helpful on my healing journey.
