UPDATE to my previous review -- this was my second time going to Ben and I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY HAIR!!! As soon as I left the salon, I got so many compliments on my hair! Ben is seriously the best. He's so nice, accommodating, and really pays attention to detail. I didn't realize that because I had waited so long since my last appointment, I would actually need a color correction this time instead of just the root touch-up I originally booked. I felt terrible because I know that required more time and work than what I scheduled, but Ben was so understanding and still accommodated me. Even with the extra work, he was SO quick and efficient and managed to get everything done within 5 hours without sacrificing the quality at all. My balayage came out absolutely beautiful! What impresses me the most is how healthy my hair feels. I've been blonde before going to Ben, and my hair was always dry and unhealthy from the bleach. Since going to him, it's completely different. Even after getting my hair lightened, it still feels soft, healthy, and looks so shiny. You can really tell he uses high-quality products and knows how to protect the integrity of your hair. I started browsing Yelp and found someone farther away, so I sent an inquiry. Shortly after, I got a text from Ben and was confused. In the meantime, my daughter had been wanting highlights forever, so I asked Ben about that too and he said he could definitely help. I went in last Monday for my keratin treatment. Ben was friendly, kind, and easy to talk to. The whole process took about three hours. My hair looked so straight and shiny afterward! I also got a haircut, and he gave helpful advice on the length and style. After washing my hair three days later, it was so easy to dry and completely frizz-free. One of the most unprofessional salon experiences I've had. I paid $600 plus for a balayage after being told pricing started around $300, trusted the stylist because of the reviews, and within two weeks the colour faded noticeably darker and the lighter pieces I specifically asked for were basically gone. The worst part wasn't even the hair...it was the attitude afterwards. Instead of handling my concerns professionally, I got excuses about traffic, missed appointments, and repeated comments about how I didn't leave a tip. Imagine spending over $600 and then being guilt-tripped because you didn't hand over extra money on top of that. Completely inappropriate and honestly embarrassing behaviour from someone calling themselves a professional. No client should feel uncomfortable for simply expressing disappointment after paying that much money. I never asked for impossible results, platinum blonde, or damaged hair. I just expected the balayage to last longer than two weeks and for concerns to be handled maturely instead of emotionally. The picture he uploaded of me shows completely false colour as it's fresh. Right now it's just a brunette colour! I'm really disappointed at you Ben as I really thought you were a good hair dresser that genuinely cared about your clients satisfaction then money. The way this salon responds to criticism tells you everything you need to know. Once they get your money, accountability disappears. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values clients instead of taking feedback as a personal attack. Also people check AHEAD how much exact price is! This guy start by saying "from $300" then on the seat he just quotes you $600 even $700! read more
