My non-profit organizes loads of speaker events, conferences, receptions, you name it using various venues around Atlanta. And if we're looking for a downtown location we tend to use the Commerce Club. The staff is both responsive and helpful and the building -- 191 Peachtree -- has a huge parking deck plus a MARTA station right across the street. Some history. Back in the 1960s when the white-run downtown clubs would not allow blacks in except as wait and kitchen staff, some foreword looking business execs started the Commerce Club precisely so black and white business leaders would have a place to meet and to eat together. The most normal thing in the world now was radical back then. Fast forward 50 years. The Commerce Club moved at some point to this building with unrivaled views of the city from the 49th floor. These photos are from a foggy late October day.

I will admit that I haven't been to this club in a while and the last time I went was around the holidays, but I've had some good experiences here. The overall atmosphere is very classy and lots of professionals, young and old, frequent this spot. Different scenarios have brought me to tje Commerce Club including work dinners, casual dinner and drinks with friends, and even just going to eat breakfast. On one of my visits I saw TV's Judge Hatchett who was also enjoying her meal at a table next to mine. The view of the city from this club is beautiful at every angle. The service has always been professional and friendly and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making good quality food. Looking forward to returning to this exclusive club in the future.

I've been a member of the Commerce club for about 18 months now and while I seriously considered terminating my membership in 2020 due to the virus, I wanted to continue to support it. Today, I returned for a business lunch and I have to say, the service and the food were match the view - amazing! Very happy to see that it is well managed and staffed, because it's such a beautiful place to enjoy a drink, do some business or a meal.

Wow what stunning views This club is very impressive from the time you arrive at the covered portico downtown Atlanta till you hit the actual club located on the 49th floor Then come the stunning views! My host offered me to sit in the lounge with my choice of menus from either the main dining room or from the lounge itself. Both offered a very nice assortment of fish dishes and a variety of steak selections I went with the fried calamari as well as the black grouper and finished it off with the key lime pie All in all a fantastic meal. the service couldn't have been any better, friendlier or more welcoming I can't wait to go back!

One of the best views in the city! Dining at Commerce Club is always special. Overlooking the city of Atlanta and enjoying a dinner here always makes for a great time. My fiancé and I visited with my parents, who are members, on Tuesday! They're really trying to make some changes , so incorporating Taco Tuesday will be good for them. Unfortunately, they only had one type of taco, which was pork. My fiancé and I don't eat pork, but per my parents, the tacos were really good. The chef did say they will have to incorporate more options the next time, which will be a good idea. Fortunately, we were able to order off the main menu, which we ordered calamari and hush puppies, along with some cocktails. I had a Margarita which was really good, compliments to to the bartender, John! The food was good, but we wished the calamari was hotter. For entrees, we ordered a shrimp salad and gumbo (not pictured). Both entrees were good. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to the upcoming changes here!

Amazing views and amazing food. We used a coupon found on Travel Zoo and had no issues. I mentioned on the reservation that it was my friend's birthday and they took amazing care of us. Everyone came over to say happy birthday and our waiter sang (and I mean really SANG) happy birthday to my friend. The ambiance was nice. Cute place for a date, girls night out or happy hour.

Literally couldn't have been better. I came here for an early b-day celebration (woo hoo!). We had made a reservation in advance (husband and in-laws). We were seated immediately, and right by the window, a great view. We were given the wine menu (on an ipad). And the food menu. Everything looked amazing. I ordered a berry sangria which was delicious. Not only was it tasty, it was large, and strong. I ordered a Caesar salad and my husband ordered a pork appetizer. Both were quite delicious. The salad was good, your solid Caesar. My husband's appetizer was delicious. The meat was seasoned just right and was so tender. Amazing. I ordered the fillet. It had a perfect flavor. She told us the chef had recommended temperatures for certain dishes, so I told her his recommendation was fine. It was good but maybe would have like it one done less minute. Still delicious, but I think it would have been just slightly more tender. Everything was amazing. At the end of the meal, they came around with an after dinner drink bar cart and gave each of us a little shot of a drink to have. It was a nice touch. Service was excellent, food was excellent, I cannot wait to go back.

It's always wonderful to visit The Commerce Club for breakfast. Francisco, John, and their colleagues are attentive and responsive. While the buffet no more, breakfast options remain well-prepared and filling. I tend to stick with the staple, standard fare breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, and potatoes.

This place was absolutely phenomenal! Our group was hosted in the Maynnard Jackson room. This room had a breathtaking view from the 49th floor as well. The room was tastefully decorated. The service was outstanding as they came and waited on us at every course in the meal. They were all very polite and friendly. The food was exceptional and very flavorful. They had terrific craft beer and wine choices. Overall, it was a superb place and I'd recommend it to others.

This is a membership club and an event space. I am not a member but I have attended various meetings and events here over the past two years. On my most recent visit, a wedding was being held on the event side. Members and guests were gathered on the bar side. There was not a lot of seating and there were a lot of people in attendance. The bar and lounge seating got crowded fast. The chairs are very comfortable. The staff is very nice. They ran out of dishware so many patrons were using their napkins to get food from the buffet. It took awhile but they finally brought out plastic plates. My favorite part of the bar is that they have a separate cashier to purchase drink tickets from so the bartenders are not held up dealing with cash. This was a great asset when I went because the majority of people were ordered alcoholic beverages. The venue has beautiful views of the Atlanta skyline. There is street parking and parking in the garage attached to the building.

Dinner was great, white table cloth service, and the view is even better! We had the chowder and kale salad as our appetizers; both executed beautifully. Bread service was on point. The steak was cooked & seasoned perfectly, my husband remarked it was the best he's had anywhere. The mashed potatoes it was served with was okay (too whipped), but the mushrooms were delicious. The key lime pie and bread pudding were also delicious. The club sits on the 49th floor of the 191 Peachtree bldg with incredible views of Atlanta looking northward. Our server was nice to let us switch to a table with the best view :-) The other best part is that they validate your parking! As parking downtown can be a wallet burner.

The igloo decor was cute and "wintery" with cozy blankets, a basket of treats and goodies, and a heater. The package included free ice-skating and unlimited games in the rooftop. Our waiter was awesome and very attentive to our needs. However, the experience wasn't comfortable enough for the high price we paid. Even though we had one heater, the igloo was still a bit cold. Also, the heater's cord was short, so we couldn't move much and had to stay right next to it. Maybe adding a second heater and a hot chocolate station in the igloo, along with some music, would make the space feel much cozier and nicer.

This is the same building that houses popular Atlanta restaurant Empire State South on its ground floor. Ever seen the movie The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)? This place reminds me of the scene where Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey had lunch, high above the Manhattan skyline. Video: https://youtu.be/wM6exo00T5I. It's got an old-fashioned, formal, elegant setting; like a nice country club without the golf, tennis, and swimming pool. In other words, it's a city club and it's got some magnificent views of Midtown. There were several beautiful spaces to the club and I believe we had access to them all. The entrance had a coat check and was nicely decorated with wreaths and Christmas nutcrackers. There was a small study in front with an absolutely gorgeous Christmas tree. The main doors led to a bar area with lots of standing and seating room. The bar connected to various dining rooms/spaces (I counted five). Just about every room had terrific views of the city. There was also a covered patio with tables, seating, heat lamps, and illuminated snowflake decor for the holiday season. The patio is the best place to take in the views. Photo: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-peachtree-club-atlanta?select=C8BsutGj3QGmsegeybIrjA. The patio is located on the north side of the building, so the main view faces north up Peachtree Street towards the PwC tower. One criticism I have about the patio is the coverage wasn't very good. Our party took place on a cold, wet Saturday night (6pm to 10pm) and drops of water were still falling onto us from above. Another small critique I have is there were only two heat lamps for the entire patio and one of them wasn't working (it may have run out of gas). A nice touch I liked was the basket of shawls placed by the patio door in case anyone needed a wrap for warmth. Catering was not provided by a third party, but by the club itself. There were four dinner stations set up inside. Two were manned. I liked how the stations were spread out to avoid crowding issues. I believe the guest list was about 120-130. The bar got pretty crowded during cocktail hour, but spacing was more comfortable once dinner was served. Seating was a bit tight at dinner. The tables were white tablecloth with candles and centerpieces. Here were the stations and menu items: Asian Station - Vegetable fried rice - Chicken sate (satay) with peanut dipping sauce - Thai vegetable noodle bowl - Pork pot stickers with dipping sauce - Fried wontons - Edamame with sea salt Rudolph Riviera (staffed by chef/server) - Crispy garlic bread - Penne pasta with chicken in a garlic cream sauce Under the Christmas Tree (staffed by chef/server) - Bacon-wrapped turkey tenderloin over butternut squash-scented risotto - Sage-crusted pork loin over celery-whipped potatoes - Cranberry chutney Dessert Station - Various cake and brownie bites, tarts, cream puffs, and more In general, I thought the food was OK. The pot stickers and penne pasta were my favorite items. The penne pasta was served out of a cheese wheel for presentation purposes. The noodles at the Asian Station looked more like a pasta dish than a Thai dish. Not really authentic. The noodles were prepared with a coconut sauce. The turkey and pork station was manned by a chef from Italian restaurant Campagnolo, which is located just a couple blocks east of the club. He works as a chef for both Campagnolo and The Peachtree Club. Admittedly, I do think the food I've had from local caterers like Affairs to Remember and Bold American Events has been better. There was an open bar with friendly bartenders. After dinner, there were no servers serving coffee nor was there a coffee station. Instead, coffee was served at the bar, which I thought was interesting (and uncommon, in my experience). In general, I thought all of the staff did a fantastic job, from the managers to the coat check lady. We brought in Cobalt Strings (https://www.yelp.com/biz/cobalt-strings-atlanta) to perform live holiday music. We had this same trio perform at our holiday party last year at the Atlanta History Center. They are that good. The Peachtree Club opened in 1989.
