That way if your dog is barking during times the owner doesn't approve maybe she can just tune it out.

When we spoke with Karen she explained that they only board 7 dogs at a time, and take care to reduce health risks. Our bulldog had a great time, with lots of one-on-one time to play with the owners and other dogs boarding. Also a plus is that their fees are so much more reasonable than kennels in Manhattan. When we visit the area again we will definitely return to Maple Lawn B&B.

I apologized and returned this morning at 7:00 am, which is the time I saw listed on the internet that they open. Admittedly, this may not have been their official web site, but still, it was an honest mistake. The man I assume was the owner showed up at 7:15 and started yelling at me because he said they don't open until 7:30. I apologized and said I would be happy to wait outside until they were open. He just kept yelling at me over and over, "We don't open until 7:30, this is so annoying," "This is annoying" This is so annoying" over and over a steady tirade over my repeated apologies. He was horrible and nasty. Not a good way to treat customers. After listening several minutes to his hollering, I told him fine, that if it was so annoying he could cancel my appointment and I would not return. There was no reasonable excuse for him going off on me like that. He was so nasty that I was in tears by the time I got home. I have 2 dogs and I will never go back there.

She spent the whole weekend (minus an hour here and there) at our home with our dogs. She took them on walks, followed all of my instructions and took great care of them. Her communication with me throughout the weekend was excellent- sending me updates and pictures every few hours or so. Our home was exactly as we left it- with 2 very happy dogs.
