You check in at the office and you are given a book with a pad of paper, ribbon tape, price list and you are told how it works. You tag and write down what you want. Come back and drive thru with an employee with you loading up your stuff. Then you come back and pay for your items. A very nice young man loaded up the two items I wanted and wrapped them in a burlap sack. We only bought a frog and a corgi. Prices are reasonable. Fun to just walk thru. read more

This is an out of the way diversion and (most definitely) should be place to stop if you are considering any type of concrete statuary, fountain, etc. If you can dream it...they probably have it. This location is their manufacturing location and they sell both wholesale and retail here. There is another location closer to the interstate which (I believe) is retail only. We stopped by here on a visit from southern Indiana to look for some concrete lawn gnomes. We had purchased one many years ago from a place between Evansville and Terre Haute. In doing some research (looking for concrete wholesalers) I found the Concrete Lady. Definitely out of the way but easy enough to find. We pull in park in the front and you can't miss the signs telling you to check into the office. When you go to the desk they give you a roll of plastic tape with a unique color code and a huge price/location book. What you are told is walk thru the area and tape off what you want. When it comes time to pick up, you go back to the office and they have you drive out to the location and staff will help you load up. Pretty simple! The selection is absolutely MASSIVE and organized by relevant themes. For instance, all of the gargoyles are grouped, gnomes, fountains, animals, etc. to make it easy to find what you want. For each item in the price sheet, there is a corresponding "painted" statue or piece with the lettering painted on it. For example, "Indiana University Cheering Gnome" might be categorized under "CCC-76" and you would find a single painted "Indiana University Cheering Gnome" along with 5 or 6 unpainted ones for sale. (These painted items are not for sale but just to indicate location on the grounds.) I didn't ask but presume if they didn't have 50 "Indiana University Cheering Gnomes" for you to take home they would make more. Assuming they keep all the molds for these... Prices are terrific. You could easily spend several hours wandering the property looking for stuff. A lot of fun to visit and look around. read more

Decided to track down this business because I was looking for a specialty yard item for Father's Day that I couldn't find elsewhere. Parents lost their dog and I wanted to get them something as a memorial. Let me just say this place is pretty difficult to get in touch with if you have questions. They don't answer FB messages or their phone and you cannot leave a message. So if you want to ask about stock you're going to have a very hard time-- which is a problem if you have to pay a bridge toll to visit and come back (we did). When you get there, you sign in at the office. The employee that day didn't want to bother with us. No instruction until we asked and even then she told us to take a price list but there was none available. then she turned her back on us. We basically went out with zero idea on how to proceed. Not exactly congenial. Be sure to note what the number is on the piece you're interested in. It's the only way they will be able to price your item when you bring it for checkout. The entire place is gravel with no shade so expect a thoroughly unpleasant experience when it's warm. However, the pricing is extremely reasonable and there really is a huge variety to choose from and it's organized well. We paid $9 for a decently sized solid concrete dog statue. So if you can overlook the poor customer service and come on a temperate day, it's very much worth the trip. read more

I've been looking for a white rabbit for my Alice in Wonderland Secret Garden and decided it was worth a shot. I'm glad I went. I picked up my white rabbit for a reasonable price (he's getting a pocket watch and glasses) AND found the perfect Absolem. I bought him unpainted and am in the process of decorating him to my specifications. Can't wait until it's all ready for our summer sanctuary!! read more

Drove 2 hrs out from my hotel convention in Cincinnati to come here. Didn't realize they sold off the other location that is now the Concrete Kingdom in Clarksville which is where I went last year. Boy have things changed. Prices increased. The same garden stone I bought last year went from $12 to $24. I bought a small 3 inch concrete dog/puppy to give as a gift and he was $12. (Too late to return it after it was rang up) the guy said I looked up the price in the wrong book (whole sale book and not the retail book). The Hispanic gentleman who loaded up my car was the only nice part about the whole thing. The young 20 something guy at the desk was snippy and disorganized. He told me to take a note pad and walk around and write down the number of the product that I wanted. Well once I got out there in the heat and humidity, there were no numbers on several of the items causing me to trek back and forth. Then when I asked the 20 something year old guy if I could just pick up the small 3 inch tall puppy dog statue to check out since I didn't need a sales person to pick it up and move it, if I could grab it, he said yes. I had it in my hand then to check out and pay. He then yelled at me for brining in the tiny concrete dog in the office. He scolded me like a child and I'm the elder. I asked him what to do next (even though I asked what to do in the first place) and he said it's fine, put it down on the counter. No bathrooms insight to use after my car ride. I paid my money for my 6 items, tipped the guy who loaded my car and booked it out of there. . I then drove to the Concrete Kingdom but that was even worse. Their prices were inflated, inventory was low and they didn't have what I was looking for. No staff even outside to help. Hope my trip back to the Concrete Lady is better next time, if there is a next time. Oh yea, they should update their website so you can place online orders for us Out of Towners! read more
