Came by The Confessional and had a killer time. I ordered two of the Noble Tendencies, and it is absolutely great beer. If you love a crisp, well-crafted pilsner, this is the one to get. It's also incredibly convenient that you can grab food or a pizza from Seaside Market right nearby and bring it over. Between the great beer and the easy food options, it's always a good place to spend a good time. The Lost Abbey always brings their A-game--I'll definitely be back!

Been here numerous times and it is one of those places I keep coming back to. Their selection of Belgian beers is the main draw for me and they always have something great on. The beers are fantastic and you can tell they put thought into what they offer. The vibe inside is really cool and kind of feels like an old church, which makes it stand out from a typical bar. It is also right next to a pizza spot, so if you get hungry you can order food and enjoy it with your beer. Always a solid experience and I will definitely be back again.

Really Cool seating options all the way around. I love the style of the boots with the high back all wooden. This definitely feels like that.Has the abbey vibe. We chose to sit at the bar and the wooden barrel made seats scoop your bootie just right. I got a tasting flight. 4 choices. This is on the corner of the bar.Available for you to fill out right when you walk in.Try not to be unobservant, like me.And walk right past it. They have wifi available with the password up on the shelf on the little mini chalkboard. It does have a higher noise level. It's a little echoy, so it's kind of hard to hear. This place seems popular and has had a fairly steady flow of people.Since we got here. 2 restrooms Chill music and vibes. Customer service is A+ Please with my taster, one of the more premium bottled beers and a four pack i walked out at around a hundred bucks. Foot, let me just reiterate that that's with a premium purchase. The model I bought with sixty five dollars. So I feel like I got a four pack and drink affordably. I would definitely return and certainly bring my friends along.

First time here and loved trying a flight of the beers. All were great, smooth and very drinkable. Bartender was super friendly and attentive. Glad we stopped and gave it a try!

Actually, beer is the world's oldest alcoholic drink, and the third most consumed drink overall behind water and tea. Pro tip: Well, actually Man's earliest writings refer to beer: "The Hymn to Ninkasi" was a prayer to the Mesopotamian beer goddess. This was not just a prayer but also a way to remember the recipe at a time of few literate people. Love the theme and layout. There is a patio room with benches to eat and drink. They do not offer food but there are several food places and seaside market to get food from. You can't have drinks leave the patio area, so I would suggest to have someone grab a patio table while someone else gets food. It's a nice little spot tucked away in the plaza, you wouldn't be able to see while driving by. Several options to choose from and I like that they offer beer flights. The bartender provided suggestions when we weren't sure what to order, but we ended up only liking 2 or the 4 options we got. Overall it's an okay place to hang out but we did encounter a few dogs almost fighting in the patio and there weren't any TVs to watch anything for entertainment, music was good.

    The table!

Upon walking into The Confessional by the Lost Abbey I was reminded of my years in Catholic school, in the best possible way. There was a small font for holy water right next to the door as we entered. All the beers had names that kept the theme. The tables had cross inlays. And the beers were outstanding!!

And our server was fantastic. So why, you might ask, only 4 stars in my review. Two reasons: 1). Management has prohibited giving a splash of a beer for someone to sample. Bottom line is that I wanted to order a pint of beer, but I wanted a splash of a couple of beers to try to make my decision. They refused, saying that one must buy a 5oz taster if one wants to taste the beer. I find that policy offensive. In the end I bought a taster to taste the Chuuurch, and then bought an additional pint after. It just seems nickel and dimey, and would be asking to an ice cream place not allowing one to sample their ice creams before buying a cone. I hope management reconsiders this policy. 2. My wife got the Hot Mess Fries and was disappointed not only in the flavor, but also in the misleading advertising. On the menu it specifically said that there was bacon in the fries, but in fact what they put on the fries was either chunks of ham or "Canadian bacon" (which as we all know is a very different thing from "bacon"). If they were or of regular bacon, the kitchen should have told the server this so he could have asked her if she wanted ham as a substitute. And, of they always use ham instead of bacon, them the menu needs to be changed to reflect that.

There's parallel street parking throughout the area, so you might get lucky and find a spot nearby. I ended up parking on one of the side streets, which worked out perfectly. I came here on a Sunday afternoon, and it was definitely busy. We had to wait a little while for a table because several tables still needed to be cleaned before they could seat new guests. The staff was incredibly friendly, though, and we were seated as soon as they could. It did take about 15 minutes before a server was able to come over and take our order, but the restaurant was completely packed, so it's something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. After spending the day at the beach, we were really just in the mood for drinks. I ordered the Blood Orange Margarita, which can be served with Tajín, sea salt, or no rim at all. It was really good and definitely on the stronger side, which I appreciated. My only complaint was that there was a bit too much ice, but the flavor itself was great. The atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, large open windows that let in plenty of fresh air, and a fun, lively vibe that makes it a great place to relax after a beach day.
