This Container Store is going is merging with Bed Bath and Beyond so they're having a sale on all items that weren't be able to be carried to the new company. Unfortunately, there's really not a whole lot of items on sale. It was still fun browsing the aisles with items I never knew existed. Ladies in there were very helpful if you are in for a specific item. They'll gladly help you where to find it or guide you for an alternative if it's not in store. Their clothing hangers are superior to all others. The Oklahoma City store is a medium size store, but they still have lots of items. The staff is very helpful. I need suggestions, and they came up with several. I would Not go to this estate sale!!! I have always been respectful at estate sales and never carry a large bag. Always a very small crossbody purse only big enough for wallet and keys. Today they said I would have to leave my purse with them or in the car. Seriously!! I am supposed to trust them with my cash, credit cards and keys, but they don't trust me with a very small purse. Or I can leave in car where someone can break in and steal my cash, cards and keys. I have been to hundreds of estate sales and have never had this happen. I will never go to your estate sales again. Pricey, but cool. Whenever I'm looking for a container, be it special and/or cool, I'll usually end up at TCS. I'll check out less expensive alternatives first, but it's hard to beat the selection and variety here. I'm very impressed with the elfa system, which does seem to be the heart of the store. Definitely a fun store to browse and chances are you will find a container for something you did not even know needed a container. Selection of products for storing nick nacks and other family treasures is good too. read more

Came in here looking for some clear storage for my DVD collection. I've got them all compiled and ready to be stored. I just needed the perfect box. Thought this would be the place. Unfortunately I found everything but what I needed. After some time in the store I settled with something they carried that also happened to be at a pretty reasonable price. I just had to make some adjustments to my initial plans. I was a little surprised at the lack of selection given that there are so many totes and storage boxes. You'll understand what I mean if you are looking for something specific. Anyway, the cashier that helped me was super friendly. This store has a bunch of stuff you didn't know you needed. This place is like IKEA and Office Depot had a baby, with an uncle from Crate & Barrel. People have been telling me ever since I moved to Texas how great this store is, and so today I decided to check it out. It's a store focused around storage, with a little bit of flair thrown in. Check out their crazy-large selection of trash barrels. Their minimialist yet stylish bookshelves. The travel section has everything you need to board a plane - not only hipster items but also plain ol' ziploc quart size bags. There's a multitude of unique space-saving yet stylish items as well; hooks and clips and clamps and shelves and buckets and baskets. Really nice store with a ton of storage items! For sure somewhere to go if your attempting a storage overhaul of an area or need particular style, size or items that may not be found at a target or Walmart. My husband and I came in as we were doing our yearly massive overhaul to my oldest's room as she was out of town with her grandparents for a week. We were mainly looking for a new way to store her stuffed animals vs the giant totes that we had bought for a move years ago. Those really end up taking up space, make it to tough to find items that may have sunk to the bottom, etc. So we spent a good half an hour to 45 mins walking around here. Got some good ideas for other projects we could attempt at other times. Found nothing that really served the purpose we needed. Closest thing was collapsible laundery baskets that could be used for branded purposes once she outgrew holding on to a ton of stuffed animals. Though the ones they had were not the sizes we needed & we ended up finding the sizes we needed & got two elsewhere for the price they were selling the smaller ones here. They didn't really have anything labeled for toy storage like they did online, and didn't receive any assistance while we were there to guide us to ideas. So while I'm sure we'll be back it might be again to get inspired for the projects we are working on, but then to look for better price & size elsewhere before committing to their prices. read more

Pro first... great products, and a lot to choose from. Today I picked up a chair that I bought online to pick up outside of the store. It was a heavy item and I was by myself when I picked it up. I followed the prompts in the email, gave a description of my vehicle, parked in the designated pick up location, then waited 15 minutes or maybe a little longer. I had the trunk of my car open to make it easier for the employee to load, but no employee showed up. I went in to the store and went up to the register. Sorry ladies, you got the brunt of my frustration... They said they'd been waiting for me and thought I'd parked out front! (The place to pick up online orders is on the side of the store - not at the front. The front parking lot is in a main driveway (literally named Main Street) and it's hard to get in and out of the area, let alone pick up an order there.) I took the basket from the employee and walked out of the store and loaded the very heavy item myself. I took the basket back into the store and when I was leaving an employee thanked me for bringing back the basket. I didn't respond or look at her, so she chirped, "Have a nice day!" Obviously, I wasn't having a nice day and the employee needs to read her customer better. I recognized the employee because while I sat in the designated buy online pick up location, she pulled up to the closest entrance (on the side), unloaded some things from her car, parked her car, then went in to the store. She looked over in the direction of the special parking area, but I guess she didn't do any more than that. Once I got home, I remembered that I had nearly the same experience the last time I bought online at this location. 1 star off because everything in the store is very overpriced, but 2 stars off because the service is bad! If the item I purchased hadn't been on sale, I would have returned it right then. Which reminds me... I was in the store over the weekend and looked closely at the item. There was a sign in the store that said 'Almost Everything On Sale', which is vague. Just put the sale price on the items that are on sale! Some items had a sale ad, but some did not. I thought the item was not on sale, or I would have purchased it then. I checked the website later and saw it was, so I went ahead and purchased. If I could have purchased the same item somewhere else, I would have. Oh so frustrating!! read more

I was ready to purchase about $300 worth of merchandise when I was told by one of the employees that I couldn't purchase 2 of the Elfa drawers off of their display. There were many similar displays in place. The absence of 2 drawers didn't seem like a big deal to me. I was ready to order the drawers online and they told me they didn't know when those drawers would be available. I'm disappointed with today's customer service. I expected friendlier service and for the sales people to go above and beyond-like they do at other locations. read more

Spent well over $1300 on Elfa storage and was given $75 in store. Hadn't even been 30 days and it's already expired. The mgr Kathy says there's nothing she can do about it. I called the corporate office and they said there's nothing they can do about it. They can't even send send me or give me a $75 in store credit. So much for always being customer first. Will be going to purchase storage at IKEA going forward. Still have my pantry and closet to do. read more
