In addition, its questions served as a great preparation for the home visit, so Stephanie came well prepared for our meeting. Stephanie was very creative, professional, and helpful throughout the process. When she visited my place, we decided on a design together, in an efficient process, where she was able to translate my needs and preferences to interior design decisions and furniture choices. We purchased a table and after delivery, we noticed some nicks after we came back from vacation. We never used it as we were still looking for dining chairs. Our expert woodworker noticed that it isn't "solid" wood as the salesman mentioned and he pointed out the multiple nicks and scratches throughout the table. The table base was held together with only Phillips heads, small washers, and staples. The staples held the panels that formed the base and our woodworker mentioned that another couple had the same table except that one had glue instead of staples. I tried calling them and nobody picked up, when my wife called they were very rude and the person who I believe is the owner of Pera initially stated that there is a "lifetime" warranty and pretended to try and work with you. However, the second time my wife called, he stated that he never mentioned that and claimed we were the ones who damaged the table. His attitude seems to give off that his product is superior to others and nothing can compare to it. We also heard from our neighbors that Peradesign wasn't the first business he owned, there have been multiple businesses before Pera was even a thought. We are dissatisfied with this company and be wary of those who claim their product is perfect.

He understands plumbing, and electrical well to communicate to our contractors. He referred us to a HVAC engineer. When it came to interior design, we had Sarah who provided feedback and suppliers information. She was also very helpful. Jim knows the DOB process well and helped us resolved many issues even during covid and DOB rule changed in 2020 and 2021. We also had him manage the project with the contractors. The contractors don't have the same design eyes and were a bit sloppy and forgetful so it was imperative to have Jim help us. Urban charges by the hour and provided an accurate estimate of the cost. Make sure what projects he's working on so he can allocate time properly. In the beginning with the design drawing schematic, it took a while cause he was on a couple of brownstone projects but overall still have a very positive experience with Jim. He was responsive.
