He then pins ideas to a Pinterest board and posts them so you know exactly what to order if you want to go ahead with particular suggestions. I found that extremely helpful. Michael went above and beyond for me, helping pick out the paint colors, assisiting with window treatments, and even finding proper positions/making suggestions for lamps. He is booked months out on larger residential and commercial projects, so if he fits you in consider yourself lucky. Master craftsmen like Alexander are busy for a reason, and the vast majority do not take on small side projects. Take a quick glance at his work on his website and you'll see what I mean.  I loved working with Alexander. He is professional and has a lifetime of experience. This was particularly important for our project in an old building, with warped, uneven walls that were difficult to drill into. Many people told us it would not be possible to do this project, but Alexander had the skillset to make it happen. He was able to adapt on the fly and work very quickly while maintaining the quality and look we were hoping for. He is a wizard, and even took apart one of our cabinets and redesigned it upside down on the fly so it would open properly under the heavy oak desktop. I was able to watch and learn alongside him. It's like watching an artist at work. As a bonus, he has great stories about old townhouses in Brooklyn if you like architecture and history.   I highly recommend this local business.
