This is the most unprofessional transportation service I have ever encountered. I work for a large…read moremedical practice and call these services on behalf of a patient quite often. When the patient was initially dropped off, the man wheeling him in screamed out the name and said "see yah buddy" and quickly left out of the office without even ensuring this was the correct office or that the patient was comfortable. He actually just left the patient in the middle of the waiting room. During the patients visit, I had to call this company 4 times -- the first 3 times when I introduced myself calling from a doctors office I was hung up on. The fourth time, I decided to say "good afternoon, can you hear me?" thinking it could be a possibility their phones weren't functional. Once the dispatcher confirmed she could hear me, I told her I was being hung up on and I just wanted to confirm that our patient would be picked back up. She responded with "well I don't know who he is". I think this sort of snarky, disrespectful, apathetic and miserable attitude is not only unprofessional but disgusting. I would be infuriated if I found out a loved one of mine needed to use this service and was being treated this way. After I confirmed with her the patient would be picked up, I asked for an ETA and she simply responded "well I don't know but they'll be there". I let the patient know what the dispatcher told me and after about 20 minutes I gave them another call at the patients request to try again to obtain an ETA. The dispatcher then told me that the driver was making a nearby drop off and would be coming to pickup the patient next. I asked her if she knew specifically where that drop off was (so that I could get a better grasp of when the patient would be picked up) and she nastily replied "he is in the area". Neither the dispatchers or the man that brought the patient in gave me their names, and I wish they did because they do not deserve to be in this sort of business. People who utilize transportation services deserve respect, kindness, and empathy. This company cannot even spell these basic requirements.

After not showing up they were contacted only to be told that their driver had a flat tire and they will try to get someone there soon. I was put in a small room and had to sit there alone for hours until the driver finally arrived. I could not eat or drink anything the night before since I was having surgery with anesthesia the next day. By the time I finally got back it was early evening. The dispatcher was very rude on the phone as well. Could their male driver not simply change the flat tire or gotten an expedited service if he was incapable of doing this simple task? Does this company not have a backup plan or alternatives in times of vehicle or other issues? If you want dependable service I suggest you go elsewhere.

Shame on them for judging dogs based on a breed. I would never support a campground that is prejudice. Our German Shephard loves all humans especially kids. She is great with other dogs including her Golden Retriever sister.

There is playgrounds spread throughout the campground, which is really convenient. The only thing that would be better is if there was more shade in the pool area! The store is fully stocked with lots of options. There is lots to do for adults, and children. Every weekend there is so much going on! They even hold a church service on Sunday mornings!

Featured in This Old House Magazine, this 18th Century log home has been lovingly restored with colonial detail and modern conveniences. It is a perfect private getaway, full of warmth and charm. Owners, Gina and Ted Blake are unbelievable hosts. The house sleeps five people comfortably, and includes a modern kitchen and (single) bathroom, as well as, central heat and air conditioning. The modern kitchen comes stocked with fresh fruit, coffee, eggs, cereals and other breakfast items - if you remain hungry at 11am, it's your own fault! The food and pantry are totally stocked with every need. Only thing, don't expect a oven... but there is a microwave. The kitchen otherwise comes with a full size refrigerator, stove top (with pans and pots), toaster and charcoal grill. We took our horse there, and enjoyed the facilities... as did our horse. She didn't want to get back on the trailer when it was time to leave! Bottom line: We're already planning to book again in a year.

It was a perfect end to our snowy Saturday! We drove up to the house all lit up under a blanket of snow and quickly were oohing and ahhing at the fantastic interior. Gina and Ted are friendly and laid-back, and the house itself is comfortable and cozy. The kitchen lacks an oven so we were glad we had planned to make a big pot of risotto for dinner, but they generously stock the fridge with breakfast foods--and we arrived to find a beautiful lemon cake, as well (Gina sometimes brings leftover stock from a nearby cake shop for guests of the cottage). The house sleeps five very comfortably--we were asked ahead of time whether we preferred 5 twins or 2 kings and a twin, which was really nice since we were five girls traveling together. There is only one bathroom, but it worked out fine, even with all females :) The central heat was great--we had anticipated a chilly old cottage but it was REALLY warm and cozy inside--the perfect spot for cooking together and playing Taboo :) We plan to go back next year (if not sooner). The ONLY thing that we really wished it had was a working fireplace--there is a fireplace but it does not appear to work. There's an outdoor fire pit, but there was too much snow to enjoy that the night we were there. So we made our s'mores with homemade marshmallows in the microwave :) The furnishings are quaint, the house is adorable, and the setting is beautiful. We opened the door in the morning to find Ted and Gina's dog sitting on the porch, and they came over and chatted with us while they fed the horses. They were extremely friendly, and told us to stay as long as we wanted since there were no guests the following night. If you stay, be sure to check out the photo album that documents them rebuilding the house--it's pretty amazing!

Even though she stated the deposit was non-refundable, I thought she would be a FAIR Vendor and refund our money since we were canceling due to no fault of our own. But NO, Marcia was not compassionate at ALL and REFUSED to refund our money. Instead, she offered to allow us to apply the credit towards a future horse and carriage. Are you kidding me?!?!? For WHAT other occasion would anyone want a Horse and Carriage!??!?!?! Just ridiculous! So now, Instead of enjoying my honeymoon, I am writing this review because of how she had a major hand in all but ruining my day! Carriages of the Capitol were incredibly responsive and the most cost competitive (one vendor wanted $1500 for 30 mins!). We talked by email and phone on the details, and they worked with our venue on their parking needs. They were very flexible on our timing (we departed at 11:30 pm), arrived early to set up the carriage and ready the horse. The carriage was fairy tale beautiful and the horse was a sweetheart. The staff was great to work with and dressed the part. After leaving the reception, we rode through Capitol Hill and to our hotel. Honestly, the carriage ride was the most peaceful part of the whole day. We were done with our big day; we were married. We relaxed for the first time in weeks, and let the horse do all the work.

We instantly struck up a conversation and she explained that she owns a travel agency. Well before I knew it we were planning a family reunion and next-years Anniversary vacation. I discovered that being assisted by a travel agent does not cost more than if you booked travel yourself. The best part of meeting Dana and booking travel with her agency, is that Dana offers free getaways with every booking. Yep! Even if you book a rental car, she gifts a complimentary mini-getaway. The others travel brands aren't doing such a thing that I am aware. The flights Dana booked for my family and I were very comparable to the bigger travel companies prices and in some cases even substantially less. If you landed on Yelp to locate a travel agent, please connect with Dana. I believe she operates in the Frederick, Maryland area, but I'm from PA, so everything she books doesn't require any face to face interactions anyway. All done remotely. Oh yeah. Dana also offers payment plans too. We didn't need any payment plans but I am sure some folks will see the benefit. It's the small things that stand-out to me.
