Burning the camping season they always have things going on. The price to camp is lower than a lot of other campgrounds. The staff is always helpful. They have basketball pickleball playground bouncy pillow and so much more for free for the kids. They are open year round.

Very nice Campground that have tent sites, RV sites, and cabins to rent. We had a full hook up RV site which was very nice. There seem to be a lot of seasonal/permanent sites here as well. The entry/exit gate is monitored with a gate card, which is nice because it limits who can check in after hours and setting up in the middle of the night. The campground is quite large with a pool, pond, hiking trail and playground. They have a camp store and they also have a propane refill which we did while we were there. The staff is very nice and we will come back again.

I stayed here with my family and have no complaints. The campground is absolutely adorable and the secluded spaces in the forest are beautiful. They offer several free things to do, though we only tried out the mini golf. In sum I would readily stay here again if I was in the area. I do give 4 stars, however, due to the front desk service. While I certainly do not seek service that goes out of it's way to please me, the front desk could, at the very least, not act like I'm bothering them when I ask directions or try to make a purchase.

Our campsite next to the road

My husband made reservations for a Tuesday and Wednesday night, he asked for a more "wooded or shaded spot", we are literally only feet from the road. I could understand if this place was packed and we got lucky and got in on a cancellation, but that's not at all the fact, there are so many open spots, I can't understand why they gave us the lousiest spot in the park.

Thomas Point Park in Annapolis is a county park that offers beautiful views of the Thomas Point Lighthouse, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the bay in general. There is a pavilion that can be rented and a day camping area but I believe what makes this park so popular in the summer months is that its a good fishing spot. As the name implies, the park is on a point of land that jets out into the bay offering great views of the water year round. From November through March visitors can drive into the park without paying a fee. But if you are wanting to drive into the park April though October then you need to obtain a permit and I think they can be a bit tricky to come by. Permits are sold at Quiet Waters Park and sold on a limited first come, first served basis. A limited number of daily permits are sold each morning and a total of 75 monthly permits are sold each month on the last Thursday of the prior month. So yeah, a little tricky but its understandable that admission to this small park, which is accessible through a residential neighborhood, needs to be limited.

A bit of a mixed bag for me at Cunningham Falls…read more.. I was excited to find a listing of parks that supposedly had wheelchair accessible trails. I've never been to Cunningham Falls before and the idea of seeing a waterfall seemed lovely. However, the accessible boardwalk has strips on pretty much everything board which made me feel like I was riding a very angry horse. Each bump shot pain up my spine. I'm writing this a day later and I still hurt, and I think I'm a pretty tough chick... and the view of the falls was mostly blocked and not worth the actual pain. The Falls is more like a small stream of water that splashes down some rocks. It's a soothing noise but I was expecting something more grandiose... I suppose I could blame climate change. Most of the old stream beds are dry. We also checked out the "south beach" which I enjoyed. There's plenty of pavement, and packed gravel. I couldn't get close to the water, but that's okay because it was a sunny day and I prefer to stick to the shade. I was impressed by the fact that every picnic table has a grill nearby. If I lived closer I'd like to think I'd come to the south beach often, hide in the trees near the river, grill something delicious... but I was a several hours long trip from Dundalk, so it's unlikely that I'll return. It was a nice day-trip though. I don't regret going.

From the moment you step onto the grounds of this place you feel your entire body relaxing. It is an amazing experience! I rented a cottage (Mermaid Folly) for the weekend. The place was very well furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room furniture, very comfortable beds with soft linens, clean baths with soft towels. In general, the place was very clean, well decorated, and very functional. What I loved the most about the cottage was the balcony with a fantastic view, sitting outside under the tree close to the water, and listening to the waves breaking by the river shore. I also loved my walks in the mornings and afternoons by the breezy beaches and pier watching people fishing, the sunrising, and the sunset. I strongly recommend Endeavor Point if you want to just relax on a visit during the day, if you like camping overnight, or staying in a very comfortable cottage over the weekend.

First I'll talk about the park itself then I'll talk about the cabin, because I figure some people probably have the same questions we did. This seems like an ideal place for spring or fall camping. Probably summer too but it didn't seem like there were any swimming options at the park. They had a ton of activity options for kids but we couldn't try any because it was thanksgiving and the staff was off. Still, it looks like a super fun place for kids. Like I said before, I had a lot of questions about the cabin. It mentions that it had a grill but said nothing about a fire circle. It does, indeed have a fire circle but this cabin (I suspect due to its ADA status) was EXTRA TALL. You really couldn't cook on it or even roast marshmallows easily. On the other hand it would be pretty great for families with small kids. While the ring still got hot your kid absolutely CANNOT fall into the fire. We were there when it was cold and the heaters worked a little TOO well. It didn't seem like there was a comfy medium. They were either on and you were roasting or off and you were freezing. Still, for a winter camp it was nice to have the option. The bathroom was extra big which was also quite nice. Remember to bring EVERYTHING, including hand soap and hand towels for the bathroom. Though it kind of feels like a hotel or Airbnb you will need all the essentials. While the website states that there is Wi-Fi and a tv for watching stuff, the Wi-Fi was not available while we were there. Also, the fold out couch was kind of falling apart. If you're going with kids they probably won't mind but if it's an all adult camp group the folks stuck on the fold out will likely not be thrilled.

Not to mention standing on sharp, larger rocks. No thanks! Pay attention to distance to the bathroom. We lucked out and I grabbed the site right across from one. Other sites were a LOOOOOOOOONG distance away. When we visited there was a group of cub scouts that rented a few sites. They clearly should have rented more as they had everything packed to the gills- cars along the narrow road, smaller kids wandering around the road unescorted, several tents per site. It made it super dangerous to drive anywhere because KIDS. WERE. EVERYWHERE! Amazing none of them were hit with the lack of attention mixed with how dark it gets. The campground needs to enforce a rule of X campers per site. I'm all in favor of people getting out to camp, especially kiddos, except when it hinders everyone else. They have a few timed group activities. This was great for my kids, but didn't last long enough and often started late. We arrived Friday around 4 PM. The jumping pad was open from 4 30 to 5 30. We start to unpack and I decide to take my kids to the jumping pad so they don't lose out on precious playtime. We arrive and it's still closed. Around 4 50 someone pulls up in a truck, unlocks it, and drives away. By this point there's a pretty big group of kids ready to play. I think "maybe they'll give the kids extra time at the end". Nope! 5 30 on the nose and the same person pulls up and shuts things down despite all the kids still playing. Along the same lines, they opened the pads up for a couple hours Saturday morning. A group of pre-teens and teenagers dominate the jumping pad to the point where all the littler kids can't use it. Maybe they need to have timed jumps limited to certain ages so everyone can get a turn to enjoy? To avoid injury I took my 4 year old over to the pedal cart track until you realize how hard they are to pedal. It was so bad I ended up pushing our cart up a hill because we were completely stuck. It looks and sounds like fun until you realize the carts aren't in pretty shoddy condition. For the relatively low price we paid, I think 40/night, the site was definitely worth it. If they could figure out a way to expand hours for the activities, it would greatly improve the experience for families with kids. I prefer to keep my kids off their technology while camping, so mingling with other kids through activities and games help to pass the time. The activity center was helpful in that regard, but having to trade your license for balls or whatever was a bit annoying when you were done and someone else wanted to play. Luckily everyone was cool and understood, but transferring equipment was a bit of an ordeal.

We took our infant daughter and it was the perfect way to get her toes wet in the world of camping. I would stay away from sites 3 & 4, they sit closer to the highway and noise would be an issue in the morning. We stayed in site 2 and didn't have any issues with traffic noise. There are porta-potties and trash bins close by. There's a large pavilion at the top of the campground if you need a central meeting place for a larger group. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that it's a bit of a rigamarole to actually rent a site. You have to pick up and drop off a key for the front gate in Silver Spring, which isn't the most convenient. Additionally, although the fee to rent the site is reasonable ($25), there is a very large deposit charged for the rental as well ($200). This wasn't a deal breaker for us, but it may cause pause for some. Overall, a great experience, and I expect that we'll be back.
