Granted, the young lady who was helping me, was very polite and helpful, however, when I got to the counter to pay for my order, there were coupons at the front counter. The Cookie Element knows what they're doing when it comes to cookies. As you can see from my photos, I ordered practically every flavor they offer on a daily basis. Here is what I noticed that is fairly consistent in every cookie from The Cookie Element - crispy outside and chewy inside. When you put the two together, you make the perfect cookie (in my opinion)! There is an exception for the Peanut Butter Dipped Chocolate cookie where the center is not chewy and the outside is not crispy like the others. This one had more of a crumbly texture on the drier side and it was my least favorite. When you talk about flavors, that's a personal thing so I would go for any flavor that speaks to you. My personal favorites were Butter Toffee, Vanilla Bean, Snickerdoodle, and Cowboy Chocolate Chip! The Vanilla Bean and Snickerdoodle look thin, but the texture on those is so good! I love the cookies, decor, and the sweet owner Amy who explained every cookie to me when I was there on Valentine's Day. I highly recommend this place! All were excellent, each being a little crisp around the edges and otherwise chewy; not dry nor artificially soft. Perfect cookies. Especially enjoyable were the Malted Milk Chocolate which combined chocolate chips with the delicious flavor of malted milk and the Sea Salt White and Dark Chocolate Chip which combines the sweet and salty taste sensation that I particularly enjoy. The Cookie Element is by far the best cookie store I've been to in southern California. I love cookies, and in the last few months I've made it my mission to find the best cookies out there by trying different cookie stores in LA and Orange County, as well as ordering cookies online from famous out-of-state stores/ brands. I'm not sure why I never went to The Cookie Element before today, but I'm so glad I finally did! With the help of the super friendly employee, I picked out 5 delicious gourmet cookies, which only came out to $11. And the cookies all had the perfect texture- crispy around the edges and chewy on the inside, just how I like them. The following are the cookies I purchased in the order I ate them, and not by favorites (which would be too hard to decide)! 1. Vanilla Bean Sugar cookie was really good. The vanilla bean is distinct and makes the cookie taste slightly different from your typical sugar cookie, but in the best way possible. 2. Brown Butter toffee cookie was fantastic! But be warned- the brown butter & toffee flavors are really strong in this cookie, making it an extra sweet cookie. 3. Brown Butter Nutella cookie was divine. The combination of the brown sugar flavor with the nutella filling was perfect. The brown butter flavor wasn't as strong in this cookie as it was in the regular brown butter cookie, so the lightended brown butter taste paired really well with the chocolate chips and nutella filling. This one might have been my favorite! 4. Sour Cream Walnut cookie- The sour cream made the cookie fluffier than your typical cookie. It also had chocolate chips and walnuts in it. While it wasn't my favorite, have no doubt it was still a very good cookie. 5. Sea Salt White & Dark Choc Chip- Good but not great. I would have preferred if there was more sea salt or a higher white chocolate chip to dark chocolate ratio instead of the other way around. Not a cookie I would get again given all of the other amazing flavors they have here, and it might have been my least favorite of the five. Next Few Visits: 6. Snickerdoodle- good but didn't stand out from all the other snickerdoodles out in the world. 7. Whopper- This cookie is made with chocolate chips and malted milk, and was so so good! 8. Reece's- chocolate chip cookie base with semi sweet chocolate chips and reeces candy bits. Or was it Snickers? Honestly I don't remember. It was a good cookie but not one I feel the need to get again. 9. Peanut butter- wasn't really a fan. It just didn't stand out to me compared to their other cookies, or to other peanut butter cookies elsewhere. 10. Macarons- I tried a salted caramel and a lavendar macaron. The macarons are big and the texture was good. Unfortunately the taste was not- tasted overly like artificial sweetener. I have high standards when it comes to macarons so I won't be getting these again. Which is cook because I'm totally happy sticking to their awesome cookies! My personal favorites are the butter toffee and oatmeal raisin, which both have great texture and balance to them. The prices are incredibly reasonable, considering the cookies are enormous. I swear, some are almost as big as my head! Most of the cookies average around $2, but they have this amazing deal where you can get two cookies, plus a cup of coffee or milk for only $5!
