Our soccer team hosted a sugar cookie decorating party for the holidays at their store. What a phenomenal experience. The store took care of every detail. For $20 per girl, they each got 3 cookies to decorate. They started with a frosting piping worksheet. Our host demonstrated over a projector to give the girls confidence. They had the best time. The shop provided snacks and lemonade and the private room was festive. This review is based on the Macarons .. I found that although the macarons are aesthetic pleasing to the eyes. They ended up being dry and overly sweet. I felt like they could have been a bit better but with the high reviews I guess i expected much more. They have figured out how to make them slightly crispy on the outside and to have a nice chewy bite within the cookie and the frosting that holds the whole cookie together needs to be a high quality buttercream. this place is more like a 3.75 out of 5 stars. i was shopping at tokyo central across the street and i was craving cookies. i don't know if they change the selections each day, but when i went they had an assortment of around 10 different flavors. I ended up getting: White Chocolate/Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Vanilla Bean Sugar Toffee with almond peanutbutter. My favorite was definitely the vanilla bean sugar cookie. it was light and fluffy. the white/black chocolate cookie was a bit harden, but then again i can't except for soft cookies if they didn't come right out of the oven. They also sell other confectionery goods such as cake pops, macarons and rice crispies. They even serve fosselmans icecream. you can get scoops, or you can make an ice cream sandwich using cookies. fosselman is a staple of the 626, they've been around for close to 100 years.. so they must be doing something right when it comes to ice cream. read more

Oh how sweet it is to visit The Cookie Element on Valentine's Day. We stopped by here for some sweet treats. I've had this spot bookmarked for awhile. The bakery is small and has a cute interior. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a nice female employee. My eyes were wide open as I saw the large variety of cookie options. All the flavors are on display so you can easily select your favorites. I wanted to get one of each. They have cookies, brownies and macarons. All goodies are baked fresh daily on site. The flavors change seasonally. We tried the classic flavors: oatmeal raisin and snickerdoodle. Both were soft and chewy. These two characteristics are important in a good cookie. You can tell the recipe is made from scratch. So delicious! My sweet tooth was definitely happy. The inventory was pretty low because it was a holiday. We wanted some chocolate chip cookies but they were completely sold out. I came here for a last minute gift idea for a birthday party. I came in on a Tuesday and needed the order by Friday night. I knew because of the time constraints I probably wouldn't be able to get them customized but asked if they had any generic shapes that would be easy to make. I was NOT disappointed. I got baseballs and beer steins (some of my boyfriends favorite things) I mean just look at the photo. Pricing wasn't too bad, it was $81 for 2 dozen, came out to a little over $3 a cookie which I think is really good for the quality. They give you the option of getting them in a box or if you want them bagged individually. I'm not sure if they charge more for the clear bags but I just went to Walmart and grabbed some clear goodie bags and ribbon for $7. I will definitely be back here again. During the pandemic I've been trying to support more local small businesses. In the past few weeks I've been here twice. Sure, anyone can bake a good cookie if you loads of butter but there are two cookies that really stick out. The cowgirl. It has white chocolate with cranberries. I came in for snacks for the family and ended up with a "Cowboy Cookie" (chocolate chip and oatmeal), some macarons, and some cake pops. All look really good and the place itself was clean and organized. Service was quick. The Cowboy Cookie was tasty...not overly sweet, although it seemed like it had a pocket of unmixed sugar. Absolutely adorable cookie store for anybody's sweet tooth. We had a long break in between softball games, and we stopped at Chili's for lunch and wanted something sweet. This location, is very close by and they had ice-cream! I chose the ice-cream sandwich with blueberry ice cream and vanilla sugar cookies. It was fantastic! The cookies here are good, a lot of them are buttery, decadent and absolutely delicious. My personal favorites are the nutella chocolate chip and the m&m cookie, but most of them are very good and they are big for the price that you're paying, I would reccomend getting the dozen to try out a bunch of flavors. The staff was also very kind and helpful when I has asked them about the flavors of each cookie and if they have any recommendations. My only complaint would be with the macarons. I'm not sure if I just got some bad ones but I didnt enjoy it which is a shame because I love macarons. For me, the texture of a macaron is really important and this one was kinda sticking to my teeth while I was chewing it and the flavors weren't good. The raspberry tastes more like cotton candy than raspberry, it was too sweet. I just feel like it's not worth the price especially when there's other delicious cookies there that are around the same price. read more

Cookies we're terrible. Maybe it was the black icing requested, nevertheless, they were hard and stale. Maybe they had been made a day or two before I picked them up. While there I ordered a few more cookies, peanut butter, chocolate chip, the cookie tastes like sugar cookies when it was supposed to be chocolate chip AND the peanut butter tasted more like a chocolate chip cookie. II don't know what they raving was all about. I would have made better cookies if I baked them myself. Don't get me wrong, I did love the way they were decorated just not the taste. I ended up tossing them out. I was bummed they were for a small gathering I only bought a dozen only two were eaten and two left unfinished. My husband had a vanilla ice cream and sea salt toffee one; also delicious. The flavors were on point and not too overpowering. We got to briefly chat with the owner who was on her way out. She was very pleasant and we enjoyed hearing all about the foundation of The Cookie Element and what they stand for and the support for the local communities, education and military. Love it! COOKIE COOKIE COOKIE! Yes after trying this place out you might also find yourself following the philosophical footsteps of the cookie monster, shouting out for another bite of a tasty treat from The Cookie Element. The place has a nice modern bakery/ice cream shop vibe, with friendly staff that is ready to answer any inquiries you might have. Upon entering you'll see nothing but a plethora of delightful cookies, and even some ice cream flavors if you wanted to make an ice cream sandwich. I'd figure out what cookies you like there first, though I think it'd be hard to go wrong with a chocolate chip cookie vanilla ice cream sandwich! So the cookies that are made in the traditional fashion are at a lower price, and there you have the options of things like whopper, chocolate chip, white and dark chocolate sea salt, vanilla bean cookies. Then there are deluxe cookies which are a bit fancier, like chocolate dipped peanut butter, red velvet whoopie pie, chocolate dipped shortbread, smores brownies. I imagine they change out some of their treats every so often, so if you find a favorite you might want to stock up! The cookies are a bit expensive, $1.75 for standard cookies, $2.25 for deluxe cookies, or $17.50 for a dozen standard and $22.50 for a dozen deluxe cookies. Not too bad though for a fancy little cookie shop. I got a spread of several cookies, and found them all to be exceptional. I wouldn't say they're the best cookies around, but every one I had was exceptionally good, and clearly made with care and experience. They're certainly much better than you'd find at most grocery stories, bakeries, restaurants. I also went here in the evening, so if they made everything in the morning, it was likely even better then! My favorite was probably the frosted lemon cookie, which has a nice tart frosting with a lingering flavor. The cookie itself is soft, dense, and buttery. This cookie has a more complex flavor that lingers and evolves as you're eating it, which I really enjoyed. The smores brownie was a little too soft and dense for me, giving me an overpowering brownie flavor. I tend to prefer airy and lighter chocolate notes, but that's just my preference. Chocolate chip cookie was done well, with that wonderful golden brown hue and soft interior. One of the better ones I've had. A nice size too. The whopper cookie is almost like the chocolate chip cookie on crack, with more of a caramel flavor and thickness inside. Slightly different ingredients that bring out a slightly different taste, but very much like the chocolate chip. Red Velvet Whoopie Pie was fantastic. Great combination of flavors, everything soft, moist, and just right. Chocolate dipped shortbread cookie was light, gentle, flavorful. A proper shortbread cookie. You can tell it's miles ahead of anything store-bought and obviously fresh. read more
