Love this family owned sandwich shop! They have the best biscuits, and on Fridays they have cheese biscuits (as seen in pic). They also have sweet treats like baklava, floats and gooey cookies.

The Cookie Shoppe is a staple in downtown Albany...their sandwiches are amazing and the cookies are great too!...I really like the Godfather sandwich on the sub roll...it's delicious!...the place has been in business almost 40 years total!...go down and see Mrs. Mona and give it a shot!

This place was packed, line was out the door for lunch. Worth the wait. We were recommended from a local and took the chance. Boy were we happy!!! Sweet tea was amazing, help yourself for seconds. Owner has been here 35 years she told me herself.

Cheap and Cheerful at its best! I arrived to this establishment due to the reviews. The experience was fantastic from beginning to end. The ordering system is friendly--and so is the staff. The checking-out process was efficient. The wait time between ordering and receiving was really short. When traveling on the highway, it is really nice to stop and get a local feel--this place definitely has it. I ordered the Pimento Cheese Sandwich with bacon and a cup of Chili (as per the recommendation of a local waiting in line). The sandwich was really good and the chili was superb. It came served with a small bag of Lay's potato chips. My company enjoyed the food and the place as much as I did. Two in my party got Cinnamon Raising Bread Pudding for their dessert--both raved about it. I bought a Cinnamon cookie for the road and can't wait to try it. This is a truly great and quaint establishment--the oldest in downtown Albany.

First time in. Tried the pimento cheese, bacon, and tomato sandwich. Was very good. Will definitely go again on my next trip to Albany.

We were passing through Albany for the night and remembered we enjoyed a Cheddar's in another city,…read moreso we decided to stop by. Service was fast and kind. We started with the Wisconsin Cheese Bites which were SO good. Basically like normal Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, except bite sized. Probably my favorite thing about the visit! I got the New Orleans Pasta and my husband ordered the Country Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and red beans and rice. My pasta was really good, but the sausage kinda got to me after a few bites. You ever try something and it's fine at first, but the more you eat it, you're like, "ummm, maybe not..."? My husband loved the chicken, but was disappointed to see the red beans and rice had bell peppers and onions in it. I tried them myself and ehh, they weren't the best. Maybe we had Popeye's red beans and rice as the expectation. Still, overall a good experience and we'd definitely go back.

Had lunch at Cheddars while in town. Our server was very pleasant. At times, it took a while for…read moreher to get items to us, but she had a big party to attend to as well, so we were patient and didn't mind the wait too much. We started the meal with the Spinach Dip (and chips), along with mouth-watering honey butter croissants (YUM!!!). The three stars represent issues with our order. Me and one of my sisters had the Salmon entree, with two veggies. The portions for the veggies seemed to be more fit for a kid's meal than an adult meal. I said as much to the server. She apologized for the meager helping of green beans and provided a decent portion. My other sister had the New Orleans pasta. My father ordered a steak - medium rare. However, the steak he received was very rare! We tried to get him to return it, but he didn't want to cause any problems and decided to just eat the steak as is. Really, the food should be cooked/served as ordered and expected. Aside from these issues, the pasta dish was good, the Salmon was good, and the veggies were tasty as well. I will probably return at another time and hopefully, we will have a better experience in terms of receiving adult veggie portions and our food exactly as ordered.
