I bought a variety of cookies, too pricey I think. I tried the chocolate crackle and it tastes really good. My husband tried the peanut butter peanut and said it tasted good too.....he then found a strand of hair in his cookie!! Sick! Wish I took a pic of it but he threw it away too soon. I went into the Cookie Tree (for the third time recently) to try their coffee drinks. Every time there is a young girl manning the counter, and six people in the back laughing and joking. There were two of us in the lobby, the gentleman before me was ordering a gift that needed to be wrapped. Nicole (the young girl) was taking great care of him. A lady from the back walked up to the counter to (refill her coffee cup) and I said, how nice Nicole has some one to help her out. I've been stopping in for years & I have yet to try a cookie that I didn't like & I have yet to regret my Cookie Tree visit. The selection is great but make sure you come in early or else it's slim pickings late in the day or better yet order ahead & pick up! My favorite are the Rascals & Oatmeal chocolate chips! I have never had a cookie or dessert here that I don't like. I recently had a salted caramel brownie (previously I had only tried their cookies) and it was moist and everything a brownie should be with the added bonus of salted caramel. It is a good place to give the gift of sweets too. My sister had a dozen cookies delivered to my work for my birthday. What a nice surprise. read more

Oh my goodness! I was infatuated when I was blessed with a gift of a box of cookies from The Cooke Tree. Heaven was in my mouth! A chocolate crackle cookie with a dusting of powdered sugar I think! Not a hard cookie but not too soft, it was just right! Then some coconut cookie, and a chocolate chip. I don't know the names of them all, but I just loved the cookies. Eh, they used to be pretty good, but the past few years have all been disappointing experiences. My biggest complaint, like others have stated, the selection is a joke! If you go in there in the afternoon/evenings, sometimes there's like only a few cookies left. They should just close early or make more cookies! Also, I tried a vegan cookie and it was so greasy that it was like eating straight vegetable shortening. I threw it away. If you can't make a decent vegan cookie, then don't offer them. read more

The assortment here is great! Brownies, bars, cookies, cupcakes, scones, lots of things. Some of the things I've had here tasted great, some things I found a little too sweet. Also, by the afternoon the selection gets a lot lower, I guess a lot of people go here in the morning so get there early if you can. The only complaint I have is the staff. I worked in Yuba City in the 90's, I was a weekly customer, the owners were always friendly and helpful. But most important the quality and the flavor of their cookies is always top notch. I kept trying to like this place, and in fact gave it shot several times. Every cookie I've tried (chocolate chip w/ walnuts, oatmeal walnut, oatmeal white chocolate & walnut, peanut butter) is bland, and way too floury tasting and overall had a thin flavor lacking any of the richness a cookie should rightfully have. Additionally, I've tried several of the bars and brownies. Let me state that the brownie w/ walnuts was hands down the WORST brownie I've ever had. Again, it was completely bland. The actual brownie had a dry cake texture rather than a dense moist texture which is the signature of any good brownie, worse, it was not at all chocolaty, rather more like a watered down cocoa flavor. The frosting, again lacked any richness and was a thin tasting sugary waste of time. The lemon on the lemon bars is overly dense and sticky, like half dried paste, it's bottom crust dry and flavorless. I can't say strongly enough, for the expense both in terms of my calorie intake and my pocket book - this place is NOT WORTH IT!! Next time I'll save both for something really decadent. read more

Awesome cookies. Went this afternoon and they have every cookie available, nothing is sold out yet. We got a variety to try some different ones, so far I've had a bite of a snicker doodle and a walnut choc chip. Both were great, probably the best snickerdoodle I've ever had though. We tried to go to the Cookie Jar in Elk Grove last night, I'm thinking that is owned by the same people who own this place, at least it seems very similar but they were sold out and closed early so it was nice to run into this place today. read more

If you don't have time to make your own homemade cookies this would be the best option. However they are outrageously priced a basic sugar cookie recipe with frosting and it's $20 a dozen.
