He guided me through everything I needed to know about getting my savings account and checking account started, including getting my wife signed onto both accounts in case of emergency. He got my ATM card, and ordered checks for me. He also showed me how to use the mobile app which I now have on my phone. Christian took his time and answered all our questions. We appreciate all his help and he is a great reflection on Metro Credit Union. Beautiful, new branch that opened in late June. There's only 1 ATM in between the two sets of doors and I believe there was another one inside as well. I came half an hour before closing on a Friday with no appointment and there were no other customers. I got helped right away by a lady whose name I didn't catch but she was super kind and transferred me over to another friendly guy whose name I also didn't catch to help me close out an account. Actual closing of the account was fast and painless and there were no excessive questions about my reason for closing, which is always appreciated. I did get pitched for a new credit card since I have other cards with Chase but I expected something like that. The whole place/experience is very elevated. Everything looks nice and polished. Even the keyboards they were using were wireless and slim with computer monitors mounted on fancy arms. I'm in the area for family but if I lived here myself, I'd definitely come back. Would recommend paying this branch a visit if you need anything!

They kept accepting debit charges and checks in it and charged two fees on each item coming in. Bank manager was argumentative and only refunded one of four charges! Before that I spoke to several people there to resolve it and was given different info each time! When I closed the account there was no talk of outstanding items or that there would be a period of time they would keep it open. I had the money to cover things but they had moved it to another account then penalized me. This is just the end of many incompetencies and unresponsive actions, not to mention stingy interest, by this bank. I am out of here!

They have 2 locations--the one in JP is closer to me. At the JP location, there is one teller who has never been personable. Every time I have to go up to her window her expression is sour and dour. I believe that customers should receive good customer service from the businesses they are supporting. I strongly would not recommend using this location in Jamaica Plain. Life is too short and there are so many other choices.

This location sits in the center of busy Roslindale Square and has hardly any parking area and is right on a tight corner. The problem with this location is that the ATM's are constantly having issues! This particular time, the ATM wouldn't take a DEPOSIT?? How strange is that? Most frustrating and incompetent bank I've ever dealt with…read more My father had a HELOC and a checking account at Citizens Bank, and when he passed away, I paid off the HELOC and tried to close the accounts. I am my father's executor and I have all the documents (death certificate, letters of authority etc) to prove it. I live in CA and they have no branches here so I have to do it by phone. I've had many, many phone calls with them and every time I get a different story and they ask me for something new. I've sent in the info they requested by physical mail, email and fax, but they still won't close the accounts. It's a nightmare. And whenever you send them any new information, it takes several weeks to get posted in their system.
