I'm not Canadian, but I have had poutine before - and theirs might be the best I have ever had. The gravy was amazing, you could tell they add beer when they are making it. I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. Now, I don't consume alcohol, so I can't comment on the quality of their beer - but my work colleague said it was very good. I did try their vanilla soda - and it was really good. The coleslaw was quite good but quite a small portion served in a condiment container. Would have been nice to have a larger portion of slaw. Probably the best pub the area has to offer but I wasn't a big fan of the food.

A very odd owner indeed. He doesn't remember yelling at the group of people who posted a Yelp review from six years ago, and the guy also posted his personal phone number on the review for a call back. I imagine if you buy beers from the bottle shop on a busy day you can't get seating in the summer they won't let you consume them on site on the outside patio. He was definitely annoyed by my questions. Don't want the trouble of meeting the Norfolk OPP to get trespassed off the property. I think I might skip this place.

So that's what I did. I got my wings with lemon pepper rub and my pizza had pepperoni, bacon and tomatoes. The wings were okay. The pizza was really good ... I'd get it again. With "beerhouse" in it's name, I had expected a good selection of beer. Instead, the options were pedestrian like Bud, Bud Light, etc. :(
