The burger and pork chops are amazing. It's a neighborhood bar so you might wait a bit but you will get to know the bartender and people around you. They have machines in the back and it can get packed. If there's no parking in the lot there's seating inside.

Great old tavern vibe the burger is a 5 star juicy and delicious but the bun doesn't match the burger I would of gave a 5 star review if the bun was on point also great people working there !

It's still a dive bar but a bit elevated. See photos for menu. Drink strength is decent.

This was a fantastic place to watch the Bears game. Dive bar but we'll run. And I had the best seat. Thank you Ann for the pickles.

Food was great, service not so much. Probably not going to go back. You need to be a regular to get prompt service from the bartender.

Jim-may, my man! Nice place ya got here buddy…read more I was seeking a bar that was roughly halfway between Oak Park & Orland Park (meeting someone, heh heh), and I happened to stumble upon this über-divey treasure. Miller Lite was the only beer they had on tap, but you could get a bucket of it for like a nickel. Hyperbole? Maybe. A 60oz pitcher of the classic domestic swill cost only $5, which is pretty damn tough to beat if you ask me. Liz behind the bar was super friendly and introduced herself not long after I sat down. Once my +1 arrived, Liz was nice enough to make a bag of popcorn that she gave us to munch on. Talk about being given a warm reception! They don't accept Discover and have a $10 minimum on credit card purchases, but for a small operation like this it's to be expected, so I can't fault them for that. Some of the barstools are a teensy bit ripped-up, although in a dive bar setting like this, I find that they truly 'complete the look'. Great homey feel and a jukebox loaded with tons of tunes for 50¢ or a dollar per song. They've got billiards tables and a few slot machines that I imagine get a lot of play from their 'regulars'. They also feature Karaoke on select nights of the week. There's a very tasteful piece of nude art behind the bar, which I'm told is a painted portrait of someone who works there. Being a big fan of all things naked people, I found this to be a nice touch amidst the cans of Old Style and half-empty Smirnoff bottles. ....and unless I'm mistaken, I definitely met/talked to/received free shots from *the* Jimmy of said namesake bar. His taste in Huey Lewis & The News (along with his great taste in hats) didn't go unnoticed. He was hilarious and insisted that I stick around for a while [keep in mind this was at 11pm on a Wednesday], but I had to decline. Lyons is generally off my radar, but for the way I was greeted and taken care of at this establishment, I'd not hesitate for a second to stop back in, if I were to be in the area again.

It's a reasonably-priced busy dive bar in the heart of Chicago. I asked the bartender if she had a beer + shot deal and she said "no, but you can order a beer and shot." And so we did! Noise level is fairly high, thanks to a lively crowd plus a jukebox. They don't normally serve food but I think are fine with customers bringing in your own food, and you can also place an order from a nearby restaurant (I don't recall which one). And yes, it's cash only so bring some money if you don't want to pay ATM fees! 4 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact. I like bars that allow customers to bring (or order) their own food - it allows for all diets! The one thing I'd like to see is more beer on tap - even just one good rotating local beer (e.g., Goose Island). Draft beer has smaller environmental footprints compared to bottled or canned.

After a quick ID check at the door, the bouncer let us know it's cash only (thankfully we came prepared). From the moment we walked in, dim lighting, loud music, and shoulder-to-shoulder crowds gave the vibe of a full-on frat party, but not in a bad way. It's chaotic, energetic, and unapologetically no-frills. There's even a self-serve cooler with drink prices clearly listed underneath. I grabbed a Sapporo Premium, brought it to the counter, and our friendly bartender broke our change and offered a chilled glass to pour it into. Simple and efficient. That said, it was loud, so loud that even whispering-distance conversations were a struggle. The space is small, seating is limited, and since we couldn't snag a spot, we ended up leaving shortly after finishing our drinks. This feels like a better weekday hang than a packed weekend night. Still, if you're looking for a classic, gritty, no-frills dive experience, Rossi's delivers exactly that.

It was a pretty busy night the hostess was very sweet and our waitresss was very attentive and honest. There was a mistake made in regards to an item that was ordered and our waitress came over to tell me it was her fault and that she will get it out as fast possible, I was shocked by the honesty but very much appreciated it as that's how you build rapport with your clientele. A manager stopped by and bought my drink and food for the inconvenience which they didn't have to do but they were very kind for that. When the food came out it was worth every bit of the wait the chicken was juicy the lettuce was crisp. Although mistakes can happen having a staff that acknowledges it is huge. I forgot our waitresses name but she was the shorter of the two she was wearing glasses and a sweater (I was sweating just looking at her). I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends who have some time on their hands because although the food takes a while it is worth the wait. The menu itself is pretty pricey though if you come here on certain days where there's always a special it can make up for it so I would schedule your time coming here by studying the specials of the day. This place has a lot of TVs and is very interactive by having a own kids area. If dining inside isn't your forte, they have a dining area outside. They even brought a TV outside for one guest so they could see the FIFA game. They have a back area by the bathroom where they have their video gaming and it really isn't much to check out. Staff takes too long to come by and service their guests even if it's only at half capacity. Parking wasn't an issue too. I also feel like this is the only place worth checking out in this little downtown.
