I've had the food at this location a half a dozen times now. I am always thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere is just right and the service is spectacular - especially for a pretty small space. Everyone working here seems to make magic happen. Last night we tried to do a family style meal. The Malai Kofta, Lamb Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken were all outstanding. I got the tandoori shrimp masala. I chose medium but it was not crazy spicy and had good flavor. TBH I could have gone up. I don't know if they gave me a true medium though because he was afraid that I wouldn't be able to eat spicy food. The rice was kind of dry, but they put coriander seeds in it which was nice. We tried the peshwari naan and it went so well with my dish. Please note that they only have a way of charging for the bill and they do not have a way of adding tip so keep a little extra cash with you , because the service was excellent! read more

Had Stuffed Garlic Cheese Naan Bread outstanding . Started with a bowl of Dal Soup traditional Indian, spot on wonderful. I love Indian food and I was not disappointed. But for you non-spicy folks, just know that medium spicy was too much for my dining guests. I enjoyed the hot and sour soup. It was strong in flavors and that is what I like. The crispy rolls were nice, but I regret not trying the samosas first because that's my thing. I liked the butter chicken and thought the amount of meat was decent. The leftover sauce got very thick and there was some separation the next day. There was a lot of oil which always concerns me because restaurants aren't famous for healthy cooking oils. But it tasted good. The rice was light and fluffy long-grain basmati type rice. I liked it a lot. The lamb chop dish was light on lamb. They weren't lamb chops, they were chunks of bone with some meat. It tasted good, but the meat was too meager. The rice pudding was too thin for my preference. It tasted okay, but I have had so much better. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would definitely go back. Butter chicken is a safe bet and I want some samosas and mango lassi next time. Be glad you have this downriver if you live there. The region is a bit of a cultural desert. read more

My wife and I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this restaurant and this was the very first time eating here. We were delighted with our lunch here. The ambiance is bright and welcoming with the owner letting us know he had just returned from Detroit Eastern Market that morning with fresh vegetables. The menu has quite a diverse selection, we began with the vegetable samosas with the plum sweet sauce (crispy and delicious) and the Dal (lentil soup) which has exquisite tones of smokiness to it. For our main courses we went sweet and savoury. I had the chicken Korma in its savoury cream sauce, while my wife got the Co-Co Mango chicken, we shared and enjoyed them immensely. The selection of naan breads is extensive, we of course went with the garlic naan because it's terrific for dipping in the sauces, and also ordered the coriander special naan which had the addition of cheese, bits of chicken and gatlic - I would have eaten them all and ordered more! I am delighted Coriander has opened near us, and look forward to returning. The parking is very easy as well. read more

Finally, we have a great Indian restaurant downriver! You no longer have to drive miles to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine. The butter, chicken and the chicken vindaloo are excellent. Their portions are generous and plenty to take home for a second meal. We have been there three times in the last two weeks. Great job and I can't wait to go back next week. read more
