The Classic Butter Chicken, The Himalayan Flames Naan, Dal Himalayan, Rice, Chicken 65
    April M.

This place is worth all the hype! If there isn't hype, I'll make some. Himalayan Flames has the most delicious Chicken 65 on planet Earth- I've never gone anywhere where it isn't just a little bit dry, but here it's scrumptious and the stuff of dreams. I ordered my usual butter chicken and got a side of naan and daal with it. The price was reasonable for the portion, which was generous for both plates, and the butter chicken was tasty! I forgot to specify my spice level when ordering (I usually order hot), so mine came with a basic level which was still flavorful and had a good texture. My butter chicken was served in large pieces which I opted to cut so I could scoop them with my naan better. The naan was pillow soft with good toasting and butter. The staff was fast and filled my water cup often which I appreciated. The restaurant lighting is dim (though there are a lot of sparkling lights and candles which lends to the vibe) but there is a large window facing the road which gives it good light if that is your preference to have that view. Bonus points for my rice being so so good and soft!

Loved the food. Ambience was really nice and comfortable. Service was solid. Price was a bit high for lunch - I would have loved to see some lunch specials to put this in the $10-15 range instead of the $18-25 range. I had the METHI MALAI CHICKEN and it was unique, salty and sweet with umami, and I would order it again in a heartbeat. The bread that came with it was a delight. The hours here on Yelp are NOT accurate (even though it's a claimed business) and don't match what's on their website. I went there for lunch, walking from my office. Attaching a screenshot from their website proving they're open for lunch - which I can also prove with my receipt that I ate there at 12:30pm. :)

Some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Super authentic and delicious. Loved every single dish we ordered.

    Worlds smallest drumstick lol

Got the world's smallest chicken drumsticks with the tandoori chicken. The flavor is good. But not worth it for the price due to portion size .

It has been a few years since we have been here, but it was just as delicious as I remembered. We arrived at noon on a Saturday, and I was one of 2 seated tables in the building. We ordered the butter chicken, 2 pieces of naan, and a mango lassi.

I did not have a great experience my second go around. It went downhill after we fished a black, curly hair out of our soup. I could forgive that, but my chicken dish was the worst Indian dish I've had in years. They tried to get away with using chicken thighs, slicing them up and hiding them in the sauce, instead of breasts. But chicken thighs shouldn't be cooked like breast meat for a reason. They were greasy, rubbery, and difficult to cut through with a fork. I won't go below 3 stars for this review because my first experience was pleasant (the goat was good), but I probably won't be returning here.

Food was absolutely delicious and was ready for pickup when I arrived. The Manchurian Dahl was so good as was the Chicken Tikka & Saag Paneer. Always enjoy their Cheese Naan. Highly recommend.

The food was AMAZING! If you are looking Indian food this is the perfect place. I got the rustic kadai, and it was very delicious with the basmati rice and the naan. The Andhra curry was on the spicier side but it was manageable for anyone who has a reasonable spice tolerance and garlic naan Service was also fast and the interior was cute and modern. A lot of natural lighting and cute. I can only image how the restaurant looks at night with the downtown view around. Michigan Ave is a beautiful area to be!

I loved this restaurant! We went for my mom's birthday and staff was so accommodating and kind. We ordered a ton of dishes and every single item delivered. The portions are smaller than your average Desi restaurant, so you'd have to order more options than typically if you want to split things family style. We ended up ordering everything from the gobi manchurian, pani puri, papadum, chicken egg drop soup to the Sherpa sizzler, reshami kabob, salmon tikka, lamb korma, and saag paneer. All of the flavors were incredible and I'd definitely come back to try the other menu items!

Food is amazing but expensive. One of the best Indian food places around. The place needs updating but the food is really good.

I ordered the Singapore Mixed Noodles, while my friends went with the Singapore Fried Rice and General Tso Chicken. Every dish came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The General Tso's sauce wasn't quite what I'm used to seeing in the States -- definitely had a different twist -- but my friend who ordered it loved it, so it just comes down to personal taste. My Singapore Mixed Noodles were absolutely delicious, and I really appreciated being able to customize my spice level (a small detail that makes a big difference!). Portion sizes were generous, and we all left with leftovers -- never a bad thing! The server was welcoming, attentive, and super kind, which made the whole experience even better. We came right when they opened, so it was pretty quiet -- just us and one other person (who I think was an employee). It made for a peaceful, relaxed lunch before the rush. Overall, Hakka Khazana is a hidden gem if you're craving flavorful Indo-Chinese food with great service and portions that don't disappoint. Definitely worth checking out!

The truth is, I don't want to share. I will hoard my precious bowls of butter chicken and forget all decorum. There is something beguiling about this sauce... and yes, I realize I'm talking about food. But you have to try this dish to understand my devotion. It is about more than the flavor which is incredibly layered, but it's so silky and rich that I could probably drink it by the cupful. Yes, I'm talking about food, don't look at me! Let me just eat in peace, with a giant spoon and a bib. I will even use a veil to hide my shame. The service is always friendly and lovely, and I think they might be a little worried when the tall white lady comes in all wild eyed and hungry. The ambiance is fine, as far as I know, my singular mission is to obtain the butter chicken, I am not sure if they have tables and chairs. The menu looks incredible, with recipes that are probably just as delicious as the butter chicken. But here is my problem... if I try another dish that is just as good as the BC, then what do I do?! I will be back here with another confession even more delicious.

I first saw Corn on the Corner on Tiktok and was craving it so as soon as we came to Michigan to visit, it was one of the first stops. The first time I arrived, I was told that it would be an hour and a half wait - so I immediately left because honestly that's ridiculous. Then, I called the store and was immediately sent a text - mid call- along the lines of give your name and order number and we'll give you an estimate... so I replied back "how long is the wait", I was again quoted over an hour. So I asked if I could text my order and just head that way when it's ready and they replied sure. So I ordered the classic (viral) Chicken Caesar Wrap and their Garlic Parm Fries. The place was packed (seating isn't plentiful to begin with), there are tables inside and out but the restaurant itself is on the smaller side. I arrived when they estimated and my food was being bagged after I went to the pick up counter with my information. When I got to the car and opened the box, I immediately noticed a large pile of butter/oil in the corner seeping out, and the sandwich was cold... it didn't have that crispy Parmesan cheese texture I've seen all over TikTok (bread was soft) and the inside was on the soggy side - so it was quite messy to eat. The fries were drenched in an oil or butter mix that after a few bites, my stomach felt heavy. Overall, for the hype and long wait times - I left feeling disappointed but am glad I got to try it while I was in town so I don't keep thinking about this place every time I see a TikTok about it!
