Inside were quirky people, talking about all kids of books and their favorite authors, who you could tell spent more time reading than interacting. Then I remember that was me... The have three separate chambers walled floor to ceiling with books of every genre. All the books are used paperback, which is more than awesome--they're creased and vintage, perfect for the bookshelf. They have an entire wall of Star Trek and Star Wars books; they have all of Tolkien's books (a major plus); and thousands of other. The place isn't big, but they pack in the books. And the prices are reduculously cheap: $3.00 for Lord of the Rings! Easy five stars here. Although on most occasions they have two to three books in a series and not all of them, and sometimes only carry one of an author. Otherwise, this is the coolest book shop in town. P.S. they don't take credit/debit cards so bring cash.

The books are mostly mass market paperbacks, but dig around for a few minutes and you can find a few decent ones hidden under the harlequins and westerns. The prices seemed to range between $3-$8. We were the only people in here on a Saturday afternoon. The owner was intently studying a real estate brochure at the front counter and actually squealed in surprise when we approached her with a book to buy. You get the impression from her reaction and from the boxes and piles of books everywhere that most people come here strictly to trade, sending the owner into an oppressive cycle of never turning a profit or making any space. It might explain the amusing notes scattered throughout the store: "Classics exchanged for classics only!" "No restroom - don't ask!", and my favorite, "Don't touch the light switch!" She seemed positively thrilled with our $3.50 purchase (maybe to run along to the brewery as soon as we left?).

5+ if I could, I only wish I lived closer to Jim Reed Books, they have a fantastic collection of…read morebooks, and I have been able to find some authors that are difficult to find in the U.S. even on Amazon. Mr. Reed is a fantastic resource for books and movies, he recommended a movie from an author I was looking for, I watched the whole movie straight through, the next time I was in he had a couple novels by that author. This book store is jammed packed with books, collectibles, nostalgia, and love tucked away in ever corner! There were books I read as a child that brought back many great memories when I saw them. The owner is such a lovely guy and very helpful! I could have spent a whole day and too much money lol because when it comes to books I have no self control. I was able to escape with spending only a little over $100 on some great books. Will definitely return!

She was running the store like a champ taking great care of every customer who came in. 5 stars!! Give her a raise. Simultaneously, the other woman with orange hair working there was THE rudest woman I've ever met. She talked trash about me to her colleague about my computer (I was trying to turn it in & see if I could get money for it or at the least recycle it) in front of my face. When I called her out & said I'll just buy my new computer somewhere else she lied to me saying she was "just reporting the condition of my computer". Tried being fake nice to me afterwards. Coward and rude. Abysmal service & attitude on her end. I hope this gets back to her boss because she isn't fit for a job that involves helping people.

It's $10/mo or $99/yr and you get 40% off all of their bestselling books (rotates weekly), 20% off everything else, and free drip coffee! If you're a big book buyer, that is soooo worth it! Or if you just love visiting coffee shops, the coffee would be worth it! They have several little tables and chairs around where you can perch to do some work. The store and parking area are always clean and tidy. Since this is a second hand shop, you never really know what you are going to find. Going through their shelves is always an adventure. They have a vast selection to choose from. The new books are on par with most other booksellers but you can find some great deals on well loved editions. They feature rare and signed editions as well as book and genre themed merchandise. They don't just sell books. You can find music, games, cards, and Funko Pops among their many offerings. Definitely take advantage of their rewards program as members get special deals and reward points. Be aware if you plan to make a haul they do not have free bags. You can bring your own or buy one of the multitude of tote bags they offer. The staff here is always so friendly! They are willing to help you with whatever you need. They feature a buyback counter where you can take your used items to trade. They offer a fair value, too. If you are in the area, stop by. If you have no idea what you may want they offer blind dates with a book every now and again or you can grab one of their mystery boxes.
