Rented here brand new. This condominium is in the perfect location tucked between Silver Lake and Echo Park within walking distance to the hotspots in both areas via Sunset Boulevard. The views from the rooftop and hallway balconies are stunning as you can see the Hollywood Hills in the distance on one side and Century City and Koreatown on the other. My neighbors were quiet, clean and respectful and the building is spotless - special shout out to Bryan who takes care of the cleaning for the hallways, trash and elevator! The property management here takes their time to cultivate respectful and responsible residents so I personally never had any issues with my neighbors. The only con is that it's on a very busy street with a lot of traffic and parking is tight if you don't have a unit with assigned parking in the garage and must rely on street parking. Overall it's a good building.

I moved in when THECoronado was just being rented and loved the finish in the units and beautiful cabinetry. Also, the deck overlooking the city for remote work was great during my remote days. Mark, the manager managed the building like a hotel and has a maintenance manager living onsite that was really responsive in getting minor requests take care of the next day. Bryan, their maintenance person was really nice too. He helped me install my TV on the wall and didnt charge me. Grt experience...wish I could have stayed, but work took me to another city.

Email from mark stating the lease had a "no tape" rule. Was never in the lease at all. Complete lie.

I was one of the original tenants. I moved in the first year it opened. I was honestly very surprised and it felt too good to be true. The apartment location and the price was unbeatable. This review is not for the actual living conditions which were incredible for LA. This review is strictly for the manager/owner of these apartments, Mark (also goes by Steve). I was an excellent tenant. I am a 30 year old woman, with a 5 year old. We were quiet, very clean and didn't have a single complaint the entire year. Once reading the lease through and through, it requested that he be the only one drilling holes in the wall. So I obliged and had a cabinet installed by him. My lease was up July 31st and my dad (who was my co-signer) let him know in April that I would not be staying there for another year. Within a week he began requesting videos and tours of the apartment to show prospective tenants. Which I agreed to everytime. I would clean the apartment and I would leave for them to do the walk through. It became so Incessant that it was affecting my quality of life living there. There was multiple showings during the week and odd hours. Some for hours at a time. And on one occasion, we agreed to one tour and once it finished, 30 minutes later he entered with someone else. Heard on my ring camera him stating he believed I had left already. I immediately let him know it was illegal to enter with out notice and he apologized and stated he "thought I was gone for the day". Unacceptable. I requested the tours be spread out to every two weeks, he denied the request. I even called the fair housing authority and they stated themselves that I was well within my tenant rights to refuse showings while I still lived and paid rent there. Even though I gave him more notice than what a landlord would normally receive (30 days). As I stated earlier, I was well aware of the requests in the lease as no drilling, I had put up lights in the living room, with double sided tape. In the process of moving out and removing my things, the double sided tape pulled some paint off the walls. On one of my last days, I patched up the holes from the cabinet and tape. I filmed a video of how deep cleaned the apartment was being left. When it was time to return my security deposit, he was charging me a $99 cleaning fee, and $200 "repainting & sanitizing" fee. I immediately called him and said repainting and "cleaning" is part of normal wear and tear. He said no you put holes in the wall. I said it's impossible for tape to create holes in the wall, it was paint chipped. As a landlord you're needing to repaint anyway for new tenants. And Mark lost it. He began screaming at me saying "it's in the lease! No tape is permitted why tell me why you broke the lease" I said it's not in the lease I have read it multiple times. And I asked him to calm down. The entire conversation was absolutely bizarre and completely inappropriate. I told him I would take him to court on principle. I had proof the apartment was left more spotless than when I moved in, and that the lights were put up by tape. My mom ended up emailing him that he cannot speak to a young woman like that especially not in the presence of a 5 year old. And his response was "it was just two adults arguing". You're a grown man in your 50s. And supposed to be a professional at that. Nothing should ever amount to screaming so loudly at a tenant regardless of the situation. During this time, I also requested multiple times to show me where in the lease it said no tape he refused. I reread the lease 10 times, I had my family read it, no where did it state that. I had every right to dispute the charges as they were very clearly bogus. And a week later "his company" waived the fees and I received my full deposit. I say this to say, be careful. There's a lot of slumlords in la. It's a beautiful apartment. Beautiful location, but had I know what the end was going to be I would have saved myself the headache. He has lied, and has aggressive behavior with the women that live in the apartments. And is very avoidant when you call him out on things. Just be careful.

Not him trying to talk to me as if he's my parent?! Extremely aggressive and inappropriate.

The building also has a really nice gym, which has been a huge plus for me. It's convenient, clean, and well-maintained. The neighbors are friendly, and the overall community feels welcoming. One of the biggest reasons I've enjoyed living here so much is because of Danny and Stephanie. They're always helpful, responsive, and truly care about the people who live here. They don't make you feel like just another tenant -- they treat you like family. Anytime something needs attention or an issue comes up, they handle it very quickly and efficiently. It's reassuring knowing management actually cares and takes action right away. I'm really grateful to call this place home and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to live in the area.

With meters and lots all over the area, what else would expect from the city life? It's safe here and frequently monitored by SouthPark officers as well. What I'll sorely miss about this place were the relationships that I built. I knew the entire staff and would wave, talk, and truly lean in with them all. Whether it was before/after work, going out for the night, or chatting, they were more than friendly. They became my community of friends. They felt like family. If you want a place that does not feel pretentious, has a community of others that say "hi" to you, and is close to the core of DTLA, come live here.
