Always in the search for skincare... Never really gave The Cosmetics Company Store much thought as I don't wear much make up with such sensitive skin and have all the work go to waste once I start sweat and work makes it for an interesting effect as it starts to smear. With sensitive skin I'm always on the look for cleanser and skin care as it can be costly though doesn't have to be and with places like this makes it a possible experience. It seems like the carry brands like Clinique, Mac, Origin, Estēe Lauder which I don't really use but did get a bit curious to the selections they have. Walking in there is a fun section #beautihaul a fun hashtag that's so true where you pick a bag of your choice and select 6 samples all for $15! So great for yourself...travel...or that extra something for a gift. Delightful staff that greets you though I had no questions they didn't follow or bother me as I browsed. Finally stopped by to check it out! We were greeted immediately by a few workers but decided to shop and browse on our own. I was trying to figure out the right shade for my foundation and was quickly approached by Jai. I explained my situation and she quickly sat me on the chair and got to work. She quickly found the correct shade and started trying other products on me as well. I appreciated the time she took and ended up purchasing a few of the products she suggested. The one downside of my visit was how she chose to sell my foundation to me. She was explaining to me about foundation oxidizing and greying but used my mom as an example. She pointed out areas on her face that was greying because her makeup was wrong. I'd understand the criticism if she asked but she was not shopping, just watching and hanging out with me as I shopped. It made her uncomfortable and insecure which kind of changed the mood of our shopping experience. I guess the sales tactic worked because I ended up color matching my mom and purchasing stuff for her but that situation could have been avoided and done in a kinder way. read more

Spent my shopping time at Waikele today and stopped by The Cosmetics Company with a very specific purpose. To look for a fashion pink lipstick my husband loves me wearing. Austin was so helpful, engaging, friendly, and knowledgeable about makeup fashion. He was so complimentary in providing positive feedback that the lipstick color he found for me looked really pretty on me. He lent his recommendations to buy two different shades of the fushia pink, one for day wear, which was a more vibrant and intense color. The other shade for evening wear that was less vibrant but still had a "pop" color factor. Austin, you are so awesome. You made me feel so comfortable, welcomed, and pretty. I was in dire need of new makeup for a new look. My good friend recommended this place for their affordable prices on high quality products. She called ahead of time to confirm the Mac products were available and the sales person who answered the phone was very informative and further explained all the sales and promotions that were being offered. With items at 20-40% off, we had to jump in the car and head straight over. It was 5pm but they closed at 7pm so we made it and I'm glad we did! The sales reps were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Austin was enthusiastic and energetic. He might be a little too much for some people because he's loud and speaks his random thoughts out loud but if it makes you uncomfortable there are other great people that work there too. I choose Austin because of his knowledge of makeup products and I could see that his face was done super well, professionally if you ask me. He was more then willing to recommend what works for him and suggested products that matched my desired look. He did jokingly say "you're rich, you have plenty money, buy 5" but he didn't ever make me spend more then my budget in fact he made sure when I was at the register that I didn't have the same products in different brands. If I could it would be no stars but I have to give at least a 1 star. Buyers beware! Just bought a few products from them. Had asked if they had a Clinique product. He had told me that the product was discontinued and suggested another Clinique product. He said that it would be the equivalent. My fault for trusting him. He totally lied to me. I had found the product at another beauty store. They had told me that it was not discontinued and that the product he sold me was a treatment product. It was not an equivalent product of what we were looking for. He was just selling to get a sell. Horrible guy. We went back to return it immediately and of course when he made the sale, he did not mention that it was all sales final and now we are stuck with 2 products. People that work here have to be one of the most annoying individuals I've met in my life. Just let me look around damnnn every single second someone is bothering you. Even if you tell them that you don't need any help, they'll still bother you. Makes shopping experience very annoying and uncomfortable. If it's not one of the ladies telling you about all the silly sales every second its the extremely obnoxious and delusional "ladyboy" thats always there, with his unnecessary comments and "sale tactics " to try and get you to buy more then what you initially went in for. If you buy more than one item, check your bags and count everything before leaving the store, they always will try shorting you! Later you get attitude and not solution. Another thing, check your receipts, he always tries not to apply sale and will tell you he did. If you don't actually pull out calculator- you wouldn't know. Please be ALERT of the Hawaii Waikele location and the company promotions. We went for an offer for complimentary Estee Lauder Microessence + ANR + any lip product of $250 spend that ends on 2/28/2021. As my friend went on 2/26/2021 at 2pm, she received all the gifts as described. I was very excited to go to the store after work and purchased almost $2000. I was about to show the SA about the promo code, but she said she has it, so I trusted in her. After we went home, I didn't receive any gifts. Assuming the SA might have forgotten, I went back to the store the next day. The store manager whose name is Isaac Garcia, told me about the promotion has ended, and then I explained to him the purchase was made yesterday and my friend's purchase was just a couple hours before mine. As a store manager, he didn't explain why that situation happened yesterday, just kept repeating with the "IDGAF attitude" about he couldn't speak for that SA, all sales are final, and nothing he could do. In the end, we were even asked to leave, or they will call the security. This made us feel very offended when we were just seeking an explanation and solution. This company doesn't have an official website and customer service. Although the promotion still valid until tomorrow, we are not looking for any refund or gifts, but we need an apology for this insulting experience and their dishonest advertising. read more
