Because the shop is on the small side and it absolutely filled with goodies, the service is impecable. A warm greeting, a helpful eye, a friendly chat. There's also a section in the back that has children's clothing and other items, and what looked like a sewing station for personalization of any number of items or even tailoring. This will become one of my go-to spots for picking up a lovely gift for a friend or even for myself! Only thing is, no parking means circling Wayland Square or paying for one of the nearby lots.

It reminds me of a shop that the women of the Gilded Age or Ryan Murphy's Feud would peruse on a leisurely stroll, dressed in their designer finest and browsing for new decor for their summer cottages. Lou Lou's has everything that a fine home could want for furnishings - whimsical needlepoint pillows, gorgeous dishware (I loved the black and white checkered collection), and even trendy mahjongg sets. The items here make excellent hostess gifts, and everything seems to be hand selected and highly curated. Amy, the young woman working when I visited, was delightful as well. I can see she has a bright future in interior design and was welcoming and calm, adding to the lovely experience of stumbling upon this truly special Bellevue boutique.
